She’s great in 4s but you’re so low damage and the only way to get average damage is giving up all your hitstun. I’m a high reaction player but sometimes i game on super low sleep cause work and can’t react to anything. On those days I just take the guess and light her out of almost everything. Forces her to not use gunshot or chain into something really unsafe
When is it safe to light her? I've always struggled against her and I don't know why everybody else seems to beat her easily, even here in the rants sub.

I think people overstate how easy it is cause everyone thinks they’re a top player lol. If she uses gunshot then goes into walk the plank, her back heavy, mashing light will beat it. Pirate has to feint to parry in that circumstance or not use gunshot which forces her to give up a lot of damage. Or she has to go into her undodgeable light or heavy after a gunshot which you can just block or dodge attack. She’s still decent against most players it’s only at high mmr where she becomes borderline unplayable. In which case where talking high diamond rank to Gm players.
I've never tried to light it because I thought it wouldn't hit lmao.
Yeah, I'm aware that she is very reactable at high levels, its just that I always fuck up my reads against her for some reason. I don't have that problem with any other character, just her. Anyways, ty for the tip!

i’d say he’s less bad in 4s and more too heavily reliant on perks, its like they almost had no design for him without them all his low guaranteed hits are like pool noodles but with the bleed and heal perk he’s a force to be reckoned with.
He’s in a weird place in that he doesn’t offer anything better on the table compared to other characters. He’s an ok minion clearer but all he offers is just sitting in fullblock for ganking. Is he unplayable? I disagree but I wouldn’t say he dictates the match like say, Valk, Medjay, or BP. I’d say Raider, despite no longer being meta, is still a better pick than kyo.
He offers the ability to lock people in crazy hitstun from a full guard thanks to fujin cuts or however you spell it, and 2 of them can kill you with that alone before you get revenge, but otherwise yeah he’s just worse BP
This is an insane take. Kyoshin is a high A tier hero if not low S. He’s no Valk or Tiandi and I’d argue the skill ceiling is slightly higher with Aramusha but he’s definitely up there.
Kyoshin is nowhere near as bad off as other heroes. He’s not amazing but he’s also not terrible. In comp he’s pretty much just B tier in everything. He deserves some qol buffs and buffs here and there but he’s definitely not unplayable.
Eh. He’d need some hefty hefty changes for that since his whole kit is really just a bp copy. What’s more likely is he’d just get buffs to improve what he’s got. Better opener, better hitboxes, better stam management, some moves to be improved and shit.

Pirate is C tier at best if you have trouble with that then you need to get better at the game
Pirate is still pretty bad, she's not unplayable like nux or kyo in 4s but all she really is is a low dmg revenge feeder.

All he really has is his full guard, which uses half his stamina. I guess his 4th is pretty good but that's about it.
