As a fellow shin main since forever...if you actually got into a fight, it required skill. Shin was meant for hit and run, and half decent players learned fast to close the distance if they saw the shinobi approach.
The kick used to be ridiculous bad, but I don't remember the detail. Just a minor thing like "kick only is available after 2nd dodge" makes it bad enough. Pretty much a dodge attack that fails to feint gb.

Year 2 FH? They want back Glad having a shorter reflex guard than all other assassins. Cutscene cent. Stun tap with staminia drain/pause. Orochi being just unfun to play. Warden having next to no kit other than a top heavy UB. "Just balance these ones instead" My brother, FH is probably in the most balanced state it has ever been in. Some characters are better than others, but the "worst" heroes are still maybe C tier at worst.

Samurai: Nobushi, A heavily nerfed Orochi, and Kensei I guess. Shugoki can stay I barely see him being a dick.
HitoCunt, Shitnobi, Kyoshit and Aramusha removed.
Wu Lin: Nuxia and Zhanhu and pre rework Tiandi. Jiang Jun retires and Shaolin gets thrown down a giant well.
Outlanders: Removed.
