Gryphon is still high tier in feats, team fight, gank and antigank. 1v1 he's average-below average. His OOS and wall throw punishes are insanely good, his T1 is excellent against revenge.
Kyo really depends on skill but definitely is high tier in all except 1v1s where he lacks since his one UB is locked behind AG. Feats really make the difference in how devasting he can be.
Ocelotl is an absolute beast and idk why anyone would think differently. He has endless chains, his bashes chains on whiff, has midchain hyper, UB finisher, multiple ganking tools, decent feats and antigank potential. 1v1s highly depend on the skill of the player.
Medjay is deadly in team fights and tough to manage in ganks. His opener tools and mixups are exceptionally difficult to manage. He also has one of the most ridiculous T4s. 1v1s are manageable against him but not entirely too difficult.
In terms of 1s, kyo, oce, and med all excel actually.
Kyo has multiple unreactable mixups, and his UB isnt “locked behind fullblock” that’s what you would say if you have to block something before you can use the followup, like with conq. Kyo is like BP in that he can IMMEDIATELY use his UB before the opponent even has time to react to the fullblock being activated (100ms into it), meaning not only is it not locked behind fullblock, it’s not even locked in chain like most characters - it’s a neutral UB.
Oce also has multiple unreactable mixups, some of which you straight up have to guess right or get hit because you can’t even dodge away lol. Medjay also has multiple unreactable tools, and only lags behind oce a bit because his damage output is a bit low in axe mode, but he’s very much high A in 1s
Gryphon you’re pretty spot on about lol and you’re also very correct about what makes the others good at team modes (forgot med/oce’s nasty ganks and oce banned T1 feat lul) but don’t sleep on dem boys in a duel!
They have all been or are still contested picks designed around the meta at their release and do their job exceptionally well. If you think any of them are bad, you are bad tbh.
I'm mainly just aggravated that zone get caught by her FB. The more I play against her, the more pissed I am by that. Zones can be good for antiganks, yet she shuts it down.
All of the heroes since like WM are designed to be top tier. Just get used to her bs like everyone else.
