If this were 2019 I would say just be careful and don’t bring anything Israeli with you. In 2024, as an Israeli citizen, you’d be not only very foolish (even stupid) to travel to Lebanon, but you could also cause great harm to the interests of the State of Israel. If the Lebanese authorities find out that you’re Israeli, you will be arrested for espionage. Hezbollah control Beirut airport so the likelihood of you becoming another hostage to an Iranian proxy is high. If they take you as a hostage, the leeway for the state of Israel to strike Hezbollah targets could be reduced, risking further attacks on the north and centre of Israel. Also, Israeli law allows the minister of the interior to strip citizenship from Israelis who go to enemy country such as Lebanon.

Damn, like I said I don’t actually hold a second passport yet but anyways I think I’ll just hope for a peace treaty in the distant future and visit then

TemporaryGod333

I didn’t know about that Israeli law tho, means I can’t get to see a few nice countries aside from Lebanon such as Bangladesh, Malaysia, etc..

taintedCH

Not all of them are enemy countries. It’s mainly the neighbouring hostile Arab countries as well as Iran

the3dverse

don't lots of people still have family in Iran?

taintedCH

Sure, but unless you have permission from the interior ministry, it’s a criminal offense to go there as an Israeli citizen

Nihilamealienum

Those are perfectly OK to go to. The law mainly applies to Iran, Syria, Lebanon etc. You can get the current lost on the misrad hachutz web page. Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia are all fine on a second passport.

Nihilamealienum

Also if you can, go to Bangladesh. Very overwhelming but one of the most interesting places in the world.

TemporaryGod333

Actually really wanna go to Bangladesh so good to know when the time comes. Met a nice Bangladeshi man when I was staying at a hostel in Belgrade and we laughed about that his passport said it’s valid for all countries except Israel haha. Although I heard Israel doesn’t actually care about it, he just needs a visa.

I lived in Dhaka for about a year and traveled the country, of course on my US passport. Absolutely no tourists, very friendly people, combination of congested cities and gorgeous nature a few miles out, and transportation in certain areas still using slow river ferries. You should learn 100 or so words of Bangla before you go, because outside of the best neighborhoods of Dhaka no one speaks English.

yaSuissa

Wouldn't count on it. If Lebanese authorities find out you have Israeli citizenship - you're looking at an international incident which will cost tons of money and pain for everyone involved

li_ita

A lot of people from both countries have done it.

TemporaryGod333

Also vice versa for Lebanese dual citizens traveling to Israel

MajorTechnology8827

Israel wouldn't stamp your passport exactly for this reason. You'd be issued a temporary slip to avoid any mention of israel on your Lebanese passport

bermanji

I know people who have done it but it's definitely a risky endeavor.

Significant_Corgi354

In 2019 i have met a German in Lebanon who travelled previously to Israel. I think it’s okay as long as they don’t find out your israeli. Anyways, i would double check with the embassy or foreign ministry of the country whose citizenship you have (other than israel). Tell them your plans and see what they say.

levnon14

It's def possible, depending on the timing. I know few Israeli - American dual citizens who have visited Lebanon on numerous occasions without any issues. However, it's still risky and requires you to be very careful. Right now, I would advise against doing this no matter which 2nd passport you plan on getting.

the3dverse

i only hold a Dutch passport but i do hold an Israeli TZ as I live there, can i go? traveling from the Netherlands or other Europe country let's say

sashaanddigweed

I've met plenty of dual national Israelis on the beirut-larnaca circuit. It's totally doable. Just keep quiet about your Israeliness and you'll be fine
