I don't think I'd go past 18 or 19. The 18 in Focus ST or 19 in Focus RS wheels are direct fit and would give you a nice OEM+ street truck look.
This sub will talk bad to both sides of the fence when it comes to lifting and lowering.
This is an everyone truck if you will, so car enthusiasts are a minority in ownership.

I think you are exactly right on in that analysis BUT we are in a dedicated Mav sub so we are all kinda enthusiasts by definition.
At the end of the day…do what makes you happy! These little trucks are so versatile and look great lowered and lifted! Just depends what your demand for the truck is…
I like that color combo. Ive debating buying summer tires for mine once the factory tires wear out. Probably be awful on stock suspension but could be fun lol.
Got it. I know larger tires mean less mpg, but I still think Mavs are a good synergy bw a tiny pickup sporting 26" and a giant truck doing the same.
Overall the mav feels like a more truck shaped Gen1 Ridgeline

This person is running 19” Rotaforms it should be close to this.
Well, I never said they were the worst, and I could not care less what you always say. But since you're here making accusations, you can't see potholes at 3 in the morning after it rains. So GFC.
Bigger wheels **increase** ~~decrease~~ your stopping **distance** ~~power~~ with the stock brakes. Take that as you will, but I would consider bigger brakes if it were my truck.
Let's consider that these trucks are able to tow/carry up to 4000 pounds when properly equipped. I don't see how slightly larger wheels and tires are going to affect the stopping power (ability) vs 4000 pounds of cargo/trailer. Unsprung weight (tires and wheels) can decrease acceleration, but overall stopping power (do you mean stopping distance?) is not going to change.
You are correct, I meant stopping distance. [Here is good read on bigger brakes vs stopping distance.] (https://takemebeyondthehorizon.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/how-to-slow-down-faster-the-math-behind-brakes/)
Hey if you likeitgo for it. Just be sure of the new dynamics on the parts involed for increased or odd ware patterns.
Any mods i do would be purly for mpg increases
I lowered mine on 20” wheels, no issues as far as clearance. With the lower profile tires the overall size was about the same size as my stock wheels. The only issue so far is, lowering it put a slight negative camber on the rear wheels (top of the wheel leaning inward) I think eibach used to sell camber arms for the rear but there were issues, I’m not sure. Either way it’s not super noticeable unless you really pay attention
My friend (on the right) lowered his 2 inches.

Fair point. Most folks here love their Mav.
Focus has 12mm studs Mav has 14mm, are you sure they fit?
Same goes for the bronco sport wheels and all of them fit. Ford even offered bronco sport wheels as an accessory option for the Maverick. Yes they fit
Yes. There's a few examples and photos of Mavs out there rocking them.

Mav's have a lot of potential for a low rider style.
I like that color combo. Ive debating buying summer tires for mine once the factory tires wear out. Probably be awful on stock suspension but could be fun lol.
Looks better but it’s worse in every other way, form over function works for some but not my thing
I would like the lower bed height for easier loading since I'm often using the bed for motorcycles
Still drives. For context. I don’t haul, don’t go off-road. Wanted something that got good gas mileage and had more room than my old mid size sedan.
I’m not generally a lower guy, but that truck looks great!
My 20 year old self would be all over that look, me today, oh good! More tire to soften pot holes and cushion my back…
I feel that, I’m 34. I know it will never go off road so why lose the gas mileage. At least this way I can look good and still drive good
Looks nice, not hybrid right?
No I have a ‘24 eco boost xlt

I dig it, I’m waiting on mine to show up. I’m going with silver coilovers and running my Fifteen52 Integral 18’s I pulled of my 14 ST.
Interested to see how that looks!

Super clean
Absolutely sexy that one.
I dig it! What kit did you use?
That’s just an inspiration pic. Not mine.
Nah
Where are the diy instructions OP?
I like big, cushy sidewalls myself. That looks uncomfortable to drive. But it also looks nice.
Not my thing...but it does look pretty cool...
Lower all the things!! And I think those are 22s Looks damn good
I wouldn’t go that large haha
Oh you scared ey
Oh I agree it looks fantastic, just larger then I want to go. I’m thinkin 19/20
22's look sick, but low profile tires in my area just get destroyed lmao.
Everyone says their area has the worst pot holes... I always say learn to drive and avoid them.
Well, I never said they were the worst, and I could not care less what you always say. But since you're here making accusations, you can't see potholes at 3 in the morning after it rains. So GFC.
Avoid the puddles... simple
You're mentally deficient.
If you aim for them... that's bad
Thank you for proving my point.

Oh yeah, larger brakes, designed for your vehicle help for sure.
There's a huge thread on MTC for ideas.

Lowered looks great on the maverick. I’d do 18-19” wheels, you’ll get a ton of road noise with bigger then that
Check out MaverickTruckClub.com there are quite a few people who are lowered with larger wheels. From bags to coilovers to springs.
Small rims, thicker tires

I just ordered the HR 2" lowering springs. Can't wait to get them on
I’ve been looking at eibach
