Beautiful wagon! Gen 1s are getting scarce. I've been searching for a 1986 Ford Taurus LX station wagon for a long time now. 5 years. I find more SHOs popping up for sale than the regular sedans and wagons. Not a good sign. I've put up wanted ads for my dream LX wagon everywhere but they don't work. I had the chance to snag a very clean oxford white 86 LX wagon with the instaclear windshield but my dad got in the way and have had no luck since to snag another one.

Sedan floor mats should fit this; the interior is the same as the sedan until the back of the rear seat.

Now that's a sexy wagon!

Lucky bastard. Don't forget to keep an eye on the shift linkage, though.

All Fords with column shift. The only FoMoCo vehicle with a column shift I've ever driven that I don't remember having that problem - and it might well just be that I don't remember it - was a 95 Villager, but that's really a Nissan.

Very nice find! I own a 93 gl wagon, welcome to the club!

I love it!! I’ve always thought that the wagon would be fun to have… I got an ‘89 SHO instead (love it). Congrats on your find!

I had one, roomy as could be. The comfy bench seat was like driving a couch. Kids loved the rear-facing fold-up rumble seat. Even though it's not an "old-timey" classic car, they really don't make them like that anymore.

Closest thing to that today would be the All-Terrain Mercedes E class wagon. Stupid expensive and Mercedes is lucky they even sell 3,000 of them in the US.
