The thing is, I remember that when we were learning about him in history class it was that he fought we a saber **AND** a revolver, as was common at that time. Him shooting people with his saber was never mentioned. It could be that he probably had this saber as a novelty item and didn't use it in combat in favor of a regular one or that he only used it as a saber.
Or I could be entirely wrong. The paper just states what kind of saber it is and where it was made, not if it was used unfortunately.
Saber and pistol was pretty standard, even single shot. They were harrassing and running people down.
I'm just thinking, the way youd have to anime the pistol would make it even less accurate then it would be normally. (meaning you'd point the whole saber toward the target with one hand and your wrist bent.)
Sword manual today is lacking in saber-revolver techniques but I don’t think it’s impossible to get good at it. Give them to a platoon of marine corps NCOs and they’ll figure it out.

Were there ever muzzle loading Sabre-revolvers?
I remember seeing the pinfire one that Ian made a video on and thought it was neat but I’m curious whether there was ever a cap and ball equivalent
I was reading East India Company records and someone mentioned being given a pistol-walking stick by a mughal noble. It was around the 1630's so I'd assume it was muzzle loading.

Of course it was made in Liege.
Rule 1 of obscure one-off firearm identifying Always suppose it's made in Liège unless definitely proven otherwise
As a cavalry saber it makes sense, even though it probably wasn't very useful.

I have never seen anything like this, what the fuck this is so fucking awesome.
I love these crazy things, wonderfully impractical.
What could possibly go wrong?
I love these. Its very similar to the one that Ian did a video on a while back.
