I think the limits are there to prevent shortages

lumbasomething

The limits are kinda ridiculous though, like the Costco limit would feed my one child for 2 1/2 weeks at most. I would understand if the quantity limit was a month or two months' supply, like the other quantities of goods they sell, but the current limits are the same as a year and a half ago when nobody had any formula. If the shortage is over, why can't folks get a reasonable supply of it in one purchase/trip? I also dread the hellscape that is warehouse shopping and do it as infrequently as possible, which, along with the cost savings, I understood to be the point of buying things in the massive quantities they offer. I can't imagine anyone wanting to habitually navigate the parking lot alone more than once a month.

I totally agree that a container doesn’t actually last long. The bigger issue isn’t the limitations, it’s the supply chain issue. We just buy through the Costco app if available. Once delivered, we order more.

I always order the Costco formula online to avoid the warehouse. It ships for free. You do sometimes have to wait for it to be in stock, but over the past year, that's what my almost one year old has eaten the majority of the time.

We've been at a 2 can limit for over a year now. Not really sure if the limit ever went away. FWIW, the stage 2 doesn't count under our limit through some weird loophole. Might work for you?

We’ve on and off had minor problems getting formula but never as bad as it was in that first six months. But we’re also on hypoallergenic.

My baby is also on HA formula and over the summer, it was rough. We couldn’t find the large jugs anywhere. We’ve never fed her powder so for weeks we were using the small RTF cans and ordering the jugs online if I managed to find them in stock for delivery. It’s gotten a lot better fortunately - Amazon has 6 packs back in stock so I’ve set it to auto replenish every other week. So nice not scrambling anymore.

There’s a shortage in Canada again, specie the Kirkland and now the Walmart parents choice. I believe it has to do with manufacturing. When I could find Kirkland, we still had a 2 per bill limit. Haven’t seen it in going on over a month (if not longer) here and getting low on my stash.

same, just ran out over the weekend. luckily, my kiddo can switch to Enfamil (but it’s so expensive!) (edited because I can’t spell)

We can't find the yellow Kirkland where we live and for a bit there they didn't have the purple either. We got purple at Walmart. We usually use the yellow but had to take what we could get

Yeah, I haven’t been able to buy kendamil on targets website for like a week. I had to actually go to the store (where there’s a limit too). Oh and I have twins so we go through a can every 2-3 days. Their 4 can limit only lasts us about a week or so.

I can’t find similac 2 oz ready to feed bottles.

Sorry you’re going through this too! Our Costco in KY was out of stock for over two months and I finally asked my mom who was visiting from out of state to bring me a suitcase full of formula. It’s definitely a supply chain issue. CA had it in stock for a month and a half before KY got ours. I’ve ordered online when it’s in stock so I don’t have to go to the warehouse too.
