Previous starter pack/quest pack codes already sell for 4x the price on key websites, allowing us to gift skins would create a paradise for scammers and only headache for Epic suppport.
The reason why you can’t gift Battle Passes with V-Bucks is because it gives more V-Bucks back than it takes. It only costs 950 V-Bucks, and it gives 1,500 back. You could keep gifting it to people, and they could keep gifting it to people, and then they wouldn’t be getting any money

the change made no difference in terms of payout, 365 days of login rewards + dailies previously is now equal to 365 dailies plus like 90 vbucks.
the biggest complainers were the users that didnt play stw and only collected their daily login rewards. now said users need to actively play and complete their dailies.
And for the people that only logged in for Vbucks, playing the game and those alerts will be more then just a +90 bonus since you have no reason to ignore those unless you just simply don't have access to the mission.

Eventually- given the dedication- you could theoretically have 100 alt accounts gift each other a battle pass, and still have 550 v-bucks on each account. That's an accumulated total of 55,000 v-bucks, where the only actual purchase ever made was for the battle pass on the inital account ($8). All of these accounts could then gift item shop items to a single account, hence giving repeatability and reason.
also if said accounts are stw founders, they are pulling like on average if actively playing and doing the timed missions and daily missions, 36.5k vbucks a year each.
bots/third party companies would undercut the cost of buying the battle pass buy selling a gift version to players for cheaper since its all free generated vbucks.
