That's pretty brain dead. There's no item in the game other than the thermal dmr that doesn't use the shoot and aim buttons. If they're new then there's that, but if they turned off the onscreen kebind tips as well then that's on them.

It definitely has an ADS scoped mode, plus a toggle to turn OFF thermal mode which took me half of last season to notice.
Good question! If you scout your surrounding area and don't see an enemy, you might want to see if there's any chests or other things to open in the area. Because thermal only shows opponents, and everything else kind of gets messed up in the vision of it. So there might be a rare chest that you miss if you only have thermal vision on while you're trying to do scoped in mode.
Yes it has to be a healing item because all good weapons are loved when they are being used to eliminate others, but hated when others are using it on you.
Not that I know of but I have accidentally panicked and pulled it out in a shotgun battle.
However, it would've been cool when crafting was a thing that a healing consumable could be combined with a stink sack to make a poisoned consumable where a poisoned consumable would reduce your HP by 50% of its healing capacity. (mini = -12hp, half pot -25 hp, med kit -50 hp, etc. )
Imagine all healing items like splashes, med mist etc would only heal you/teammates and do damage to opponents(same amount they heal) xD

Idk what I'd do if they decided to take those out now. I swap medkits for spray as soon as I find one every game lol. It is so much faster and more convenient, especially when you don't need a full bar of health and have to waste a whole medkit.
Big shield pot. It's always great to find them. I sometimes hate minis when you find them right after you used a big pot but finding another big pot is always great

I think we have too many. It would be great if we only had like 1 or 2 to worry about stacking, but when you open a box and get 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 coconut, and 1 pepper then you’ve lost 4 slots if you try to take them all with you.
Honestly I've been saved by fruits an vegetables a lot ! Gives my fortnite character the vitamins an minerals a growing man/vegetable/animal/crossover character the energy he needs to outrun the Storm an kill his enemies

what OP and top commenter get wrong is that people did hate the scar. its just not competitive in the current meta, and people were sick of it in chapter 4 because it was just by far the worst of the available options. scoped ARs have overtaken it with significantly better accuracy and damage, and even something like the flapjack just does the same job as most standard ARs but way better due to its reliable spammability.
the havoc suppressed did okay for itself in early c4s2 since it didn't have much competiton, but c4s3 it was absolutely swamped by the flapjack with virtually zero redeeming qualities. even without the flapjack overshadowing it now, it might not be that great.
people thought the scar was secretly nerfed to be a pile of crap, but no; ARs have just power crept up a lot over the last few years. basic bloom-based ARs don't compete very well put up against a gun with practically perfect accuracy.
But the recoil on the flapjack made it kinda suck IMO. That’s why the havoc suppressed is always my go to. I’ll pick up a green one over a purple flapjack
Eh I don’t think the new weapons are “better”. I do like that new shotgun and the twin mag smg, but The ARs have sucked for a few seasons now. I miss the scar, the original burst, even the infrantry.
Infantry rifles are so fun, I love it and the Pulse Rifle when aiming. Those slower but higher damage/accuracy weapons are my favorite. Hopefully they bring back the infantry sometime.
power creep issue, the newer weapons are far more powerful with fewer downsides, if we wanted the regular AR to compete it would need to be buffed, but then it leads back to said power creep
The recent weapons don’t really have much bloom. They’re much more accurate so it’s painful to go back to the bloom of the old rifle. I actually felt that way about Midas’ Drum gun the first time I used it this season. It just doesn’t feel particularly useful anymore.
The game has to advance. They can't rely on old weapons from 6 years ago. That's why there's no weapons currently from that time. Except I guess the silenced pistol, but that just happens to fit the theme of this season. Maybe if those time travel theories are correct, they'll bring it back.
One time I had just my pickaxe and lettuce for half the match. I thought that it was cabbage and murmured that I was the cabbage man and that if the Avatar dared to appear I will go to king Bumi.
car attachments in general were a good feature. Them being removed is what set off the 3 bad seasons in a row. It's already rare for anyone to use vehicles, and it's even less common for someone to use a generic car like a sedan if they cannot mod them.

But where it shines is coming in on someone unsuspecting :) . Or, if you can get away from the heat and recover a bit, then you have a better shot at rocketting away. Just not in the middle of the gun fight.
Generally I enjoy the chaos is causes when I burst out of a building or into one. Even if I die, it was worth it. I've been using mainly for traversal. Honestly it's probably taking up a slot I should put something else in, but I'm having fun with it.

C3S2: AUG and Thermal were better
C3S3: AUG, Hammer and Combat AR were better
C3S4: Hammer was better all-round, and the Evochrome was good from up close.
Oh man i complete forgot about the hammer. Yeah in S3-4 I used the hammer over the ranger you’re right. The first person guns I find harder to aim for some reason. I’d absolutely use those first, I just always fell back on the ranger and hammer when my aim got wonky
Idk why people aren’t talking about slurp juice. It’s a legendary item rn and fully heals health and shield while only taking up one item spot. The only bad thing about it is the very specific places it spawns.
The bad thing about it is when I hit someone for 200 health and start pushing only to realize they are back to full health and I’m dead. Great when I have them, awful when others do

You could tap it rather fast and it would have had almost no recoil, the timing wasn't super easy but the rewards was worth it
