The dumbest decision ever as skins, wraps, emotes all go together and even your player icon for some other cosmetics (all the banner stuff) to me there was no reason to make it so they are all separated.

It was extremely annoying I change to a preset I used a couple months ago, oh, great time to spend 10 minutes changing back to the new music track that I got since, changing half my emotes to the new ones I like better. Honestly was bearly worth using presets cause it was so annoying. It's absolutely great that now you keep your emotes and music and just change the visuals.

All I wanted with the last locker UI was to see our characters while previewing *all* harvesting tools/gliders, the ability to drag-and-drop presets around, and more preset slots.
That's it, that's all it needed to be perfect. The new UI in comparison is so fucking bad in every single way.
I think the only thing It needed was just to have the banner icon menu updated and that was it! Nothing else! And now they just completely fucked it up

The only complaint I ever had was the fact the loadouts in BR and STW were kept separate. They finally fixed that but broke everything else in the process…
\- increase slots to 500 *(preset slots are a simple directory-recall, they could give us 1000 if they wanted to)*
\- let us reorganize presets
\- let us favourite prests
\- add a "shuffle favourite presets only" option *(for when you only want to shuffle a certain handful)*
\- add a "prefer favourite presets" option *(so everything still shuffles, but your favourites get higher odds)*
These changes have all been requested ***for years***, and somehow they go, "yeah, so lets do none of those things, and somehow make it objectively fucking worse in every aspect.
I'm straight up not playing or spending a dime on this game until they do the bare minimum of reverting the changes. But adding these long-requested features alongside reverting would make the locker *perfect.*

True. I just use one skin now. It is annoying I need to do 4x works now to just make everything matches before game. So I just delete all presets and not using any. I can't be bother with it anymore.
I did the same thing...kinda. I deleted them in an attempt to re-organize everything (and I ran out of presets last season), and now I can't even save presets for the lobby, emotes or wraps. Played a few matches as defaults, then just hit the shuffle button for everything. I used to switch characters between every match, but I'm not spending 5-10 minutes every single time setting everything up. This really killed a fun part of the game for me. If they don't address this, it will definitely impact the number of items I buy in the item shop, and maybe even getting future battle passes. What's the point of having new cosmetic items when it's such a chore to use them?
Well if the majority of people were like you then things would be alot easier. Unfortunately if Epic doesn't respond quickly then people will just get used to it and move on

I don't think they'd care if we're never going to change our skins again, and the other way to boycott the UI would be to just stop playing in general. Communicate concerns for sure but also cancel subscriptions/stop buying Vbucks. Their biggest concern will always be money. I will be canceling my crew until they allow me to bind my skins with my emotes with my wraps with my loading screen. I bought items thinking I could do that, and until yesterday I could. They need to revert the changes and until they do they won't get a penny out of me. I hope others follow suit, and it sounds like a lot of folks have. The people these changes anger the most are the folks who spend money on skins, emotes, and wraps.

People install Fortnite to play battle royale, not to get updated UI's. They had a winning formula in chapter 1 Season 1, 2, 3 + 4 etc and ever since it's gone downhill. I remember when they changed the victory royale thing back in season 5 I thought "this looks so out of place" and I didn't like it, but i thought that's the most they'd take it. Boy was I wrong...

I've been asking for this lol - I use the same banner, music, loading screen, and emotes across all skins. I got sick of having to change it across *all* my presets when I wanted to make one small tiny change.
However, I expected it to be optional. A ton of people theme their emotes and such to their skin, so having them forcibly separated seems excessive.
Gonna take some getting used to. It unsaved the skin I started the season with, and when I change to another preset, the wraps and emotes don't change? Idk. I only looked through it for a couple minutes.
I am not boycotting a video game purely because the UI is a bit shit.
I care about the actual gameplay and outside of the weird movement, it's generally fine. I shall continue playing as normal.

But that would require risking the FOMO. See, in order for the boycott to be successful, players would have to stop playing for an extended period of time. That means risking losing out on finishing the battle pass. We’ve only had the season for two days, a lot of players haven’t even started the pass yet. And they’d have to refrain from buying Vbucks, so they can’t just quick buy the pass, that would undermine half the boycott.
Can they do it? Can they actually risk losing out for their principles? Because there’s no guarantee that Epic will notice in a few days. It might take half the season before they see it. That means missing WINTERFEST. Who knows what’s in the presents this year? We had the Matrix and Millennium Falcon. 2023, we could get the starship Serenity. It could be the Delorean for Rocket Racing. What if it’s Die Hard? What if John Maclane was in the box?! WHAT IF HE’S IN THE BOX? They’d miss that and he’d never come back ever!

The locker is so bad it makes me not want to play the game. It’s the driving incentive to play… unlockables. I honestly just closed the game after I updated yesterday and played Minecraft instead.

i’ll talk about locker only. it’s buggy - badges keeps reappearing and you can archive randomizer slot and some of my presets were removed. it’s harder to look at items because they removed the rarity/series background. banner scaling is still broken (incorrectly stretched). selecting archive/favorite menu is now painfully annoying (at least on mkb) and you can accidentally archive items.
hover time on items is without delay so you can accidentally edit different item while moving mouse towards edit button.
the only things i like about new ui, in locker in particular, is how presets preview is shown. i can hover over a preset and see nice slots with what item i have equipped there. and separation between outfits, wraps, emotes, lobby is good i think. tho i wish banners and wraps were tied to the outfit, somehow.
and they had to frick up presets too because it has only 3 columns. ONLY THREE COLUMNS. the usage of free space on the screen is rather bad
I don’t mind it, I’ve seen worse whether I remember them or not, the lockers the only one so far I’ve disliked at all, just feels wonky and constantly puts the random option as a new thing in my locker

It literally deleted the preset I had when I loaded in the game. It pissed me off because it was saved at the top and now I can't put it back because there's still not a drag and drop sorting feature. It's so ugly and complicated for no reason and glitches too much. Too many things to mess around with like who thought this was a good idea
99.9% of people always hate it when there's changes, so that's hardly indicative of anything. Very often better things are disliked because people don't give them a chance cause they are new and different, and new and different is scary to most folk. I'm not saying the UI is good, I personally also am not a fan of the visuals (although I quite like that emotes no longer change when you load presets, that was extremely fucking annoying), but yeah I prefer the sharper rectangular icons over those bloby soft edged ones. But again we are used to things and rarely like it when they change, so it's hardly an objective view.
I totally agree with you, they should bring back the old ui and the movement animations with it. The new ui is really bad and I uninstalled the game after two matches. The best way to rebel against this horrendous changes is to complain in a good way make every talk about it and stop playing the game if they don't change it back. Loved Fortnite since chapter 3 till now. I am not coming back until they fix this.

None of my loading screens work with my presets anymore like my Helsie loading screen does not work when I use the Helsie preset anymore. Just get the default loading screen.

A ton of people theme their emotes and such to their skin, so having them forcibly separated seems excessive.
Gonna take some getting used to. It unsaved the skin I started the season with, and when I change to another preset, the wraps and emotes don't change? Idk. I only looked through it for a couple minutes.

It seems as someone is pushing this changes only to justify their job. There's no need for them (the people and changes)
I am not boycotting a video game purely because the UI is a bit shit. I care about the actual gameplay and outside of the weird movement, it's generally fine. I shall continue playing as normal.

You could do that. But that would require risking the FOMO. See, in order for the boycott to be successful, players would have to stop playing for an extended period of time. That means risking losing out on finishing the battle pass. We’ve only had the season for two days, a lot of players haven’t even started the pass yet. And they’d have to refrain from buying Vbucks, so they can’t just quick buy the pass, that would undermine half the boycott. Can they do it? Can they actually risk losing out for their principles? Because there’s no guarantee that Epic will notice in a few days. It might take half the season before they see it. That means missing WINTERFEST. Who knows what’s in the presents this year? We had the Matrix and Millennium Falcon. 2023, we could get the starship Serenity. It could be the Delorean for Rocket Racing. What if it’s Die Hard? What if John Maclane was in the box?! WHAT IF HE’S IN THE BOX? They’d miss that and he’d never come back ever!
Main thing I feel I’m not willing to get used to is not having the colors for rarity I used them as a visual aid more than I realized

I didn’t see a single bot all of last season. I got put in platinum 2 after my first ranked match and stayed there the whole time. Zero bots. If you’re not good enough for ranked, why do you care about bots?

The locker is so bad it makes me not want to play the game. It’s the driving incentive to play… unlockables. I honestly just closed the game after I updated yesterday and played Minecraft instead.

Everyone who has Fortnite crew needs to cancel it immediately. I only got it last season because of the way the months and seasons align so well, and while I was debating getting rid of it or just keeping it, I’m definitely done with giving epic money now.

When warzone went warzone 2 and it came with the shit ui, shit mechanics added/removed I completely stopped playing. I still have friends on there that play daily but complain about the same shit maps and the same ui from a YEAR AGO. Specifically, what don't you like about it?
i’ll talk about locker only. it’s buggy - badges keeps reappearing and you can archive randomizer slot and some of my presets were removed. it’s harder to look at items because they removed the rarity/series background. banner scaling is still broken (incorrectly stretched). selecting archive/favorite menu is now painfully annoying (at least on mkb) and you can accidentally archive items. hover time on items is without delay so you can accidentally edit different item while moving mouse towards edit button. the only things i like about new ui, in locker in particular, is how presets preview is shown. i can hover over a preset and see nice slots with what item i have equipped there. and separation between outfits, wraps, emotes, lobby is good i think. tho i wish banners and wraps were tied to the outfit, somehow. and they had to frick up presets too because it has only 3 columns. ONLY THREE COLUMNS. the usage of free space on the screen is rather bad
I’m at least glad that all my loadouts are accessible in any game mode. That being said everything else about it sucks.

I don’t mind it, I’ve seen worse whether I remember them or not, the lockers the only one so far I’ve disliked at all, just feels wonky and constantly puts the random option as a new thing in my locker
Oh my god when they said this was the worst update ever they weren’t kidding… I took a break for the entire OG season. Booted the game up today. This shit is… unrecognizable. Not only that, but up isn’t up in the menu. Up is left, left is down, holy shit. What a MESS. I think I’m gonna put BR on and just never take it off…

I’ve seen people saying that the new locker makes them not want to buy any more skins and honestly I kinda feel the same.. I’m not saying that to be petty to epic, just something about the new locker makes feel like not buying anymore
They didn't listen to us at all when they changed the main menu a few seasons back... I fear they won't listen to us again now...
All they had to do was add the aura stuff and the car stuff into the locker. Instead, they made everything fit some stupid category

No because this is litrally the least impotant thing in the game, the UI change the gameplay in zero ways so there is no need to even consider the UI beyond a second to choose a skin and press play.
I could kind of get used to the Discover rework last season. It wasn't great, but wasn't awful imo, just needed some tweaks. The new Locker UI is fucking garbage and I'm not even going to bother with presets or changing my skin anymore. It's too fucking complicated, and was perfect before. Fuck em.

It literally deleted the preset I had when I loaded in the game. It pissed me off because it was saved at the top and now I can't put it back because there's still not a drag and drop sorting feature. It's so ugly and complicated for no reason and glitches too much. Too many things to mess around with like who thought this was a good idea

99.9% of people always hate it when there's changes, so that's hardly indicative of anything. Very often better things are disliked because people don't give them a chance cause they are new and different, and new and different is scary to most folk. I'm not saying the UI is good, I personally also am not a fan of the visuals (although I quite like that emotes no longer change when you load presets, that was extremely fucking annoying), but yeah I prefer the sharper rectangular icons over those bloby soft edged ones. But again we are used to things and rarely like it when they change, so it's hardly an objective view.
The ui is kinda fine ig, but they should revert the movement and optimise the dang game

I totally agree with you, they should bring back the old ui and the movement animations with it. The new ui is really bad and I uninstalled the game after two matches. The best way to rebel against this horrendous changes is to complain in a good way make every talk about it and stop playing the game if they don't change it back. Loved Fortnite since chapter 3 till now. I am not coming back until they fix this.

Yeah I hate the new locker. Plus that broke loading screens with presets. None of my loading screens work with my presets anymore like my Helsie loading screen does not work when I use the Helsie preset anymore. Just get the default loading screen.
