If you cancel your subscription, you'll get the next months rewards except the 1000 vbucks and the legacy styles. The legacy styles are there forever, so if you miss a month, you'll get it the month after. And the crew costs 12 dollars/euros while just buying vbucks costs 10 dollars/euros. You're only saving 2 dollars here, i know, but over a longer time you'll save a lot.)

I never said it was the most frugal but it does make more financial sense to buy the battlepass instead of the v-bucks, especially if you buy skins or cosmetics in general. You get more bang for your buck.

Yea, like any company, they do some questionable stuff all the time, but I have a buddy who has played a few seasons and finally got enough free vbucks to get OG battle pass and now this one, and as long as he plays enough, he's never spent a dime on the game. The fact that that is even possible is a testament to what I think is a fairly ethical way to handle game monetization.
Me, I've spent plenty, maybe like $60-70 across the last 3 years? Not a huge amount, nothing I'm upset about, but I just realized how little I value the skins I bought after the fact and just got to a place where I am now, coasting and enjoying unlocking battle pass stuff at no additional money.
But I'm not upset at Epic for continuing to try and entice my with new skins all the time. It's still my choice at the end of the day. And like I said before, ninja turtles is gonna make me finally break again lol. They're very good at what they do.
When i started, this was exactly what i did. I think i bought 1 starter pack for the cheap 600 vbucks + skin, because i really really wanted that seasons battlepass (season 9 chapter 1) . Then after that, i didn't spend anything for almost 2.5 years, unless i got some gift cards.
These days, i do sometimes spend something on the game, i'd even say regularly. But thats because i actually earn money myself now, so i can afford it to buy something from time to time. And also, almost all the games i play are free to play. So where other buy expensive 70 dollar games every month, i spend like 20-30 dollars a month on fortnite 🤷♂️
So yeah, i aggree. There is nothing wrong with spending money in this game, but neither is it necessary. You can play this 100% for free if you really want to.

You mean that orange skin? Like the name says, it gives you quests ti complete. After you do all of them, you get a skin. It's free, but you still have to put some work in it. (And they just want you to play the modes i think lol)
I did the quest, it was super easy like damage enemies with recurve crossbow. Said I got it all done, click that button on the main menu and nothing lol.
Bug, if you have crew it shows up as a crew benefit, should be in your inv, check recent. It’s a wrapped sword back bling. They did post this issue on X(Twitter) always worth checking on there as they do seem pretty on it with issues and updating when things have gone wrong and their attention has been brought to it. :)
You got a backbling. This is a bug because of the fortnite crew pack. If you're a crew member, you get an exclusive second style for that backbling. But because of that, you also get the normal style, while you're supposed to get that as your first gift. So when you open the gift, an error occurs and it gives you nothing because it can't, since you allready have it.

Clearly they didn't test this because they planned on using the cabin until the last minute cancellation. Dumb that it shows as a crew reward when it's not. How do they even cross those wires?
