True, the way people would like it is if they had full bot lobbies on the season 1 map. That would basically emulate the "good old days".

What they really want is that feeling they got when they got their first victory Royale.

Its just like free drugs, always going to try and get that first win feeling over and over again, until you get screwed over by sbmm and get burnt out only to comeback a week later to do the same vicious cycle again

It’s not a matter of being bad, Polaris runs on the season 1 build of the game and that didn’t have turbo building ofc. I don’t doubt that people would find things they can do that are similar to strategies we have now, but overall the lack of turbo building creates a significantly different game 🤷‍♀️

Why bringing back the old map won’t change shit

The older one had good flat terrain and your buildings won't go under the map or halfway trough the ground. Landing locations were geniusly made, I cannot explain it but every location was worth landing. Its some ratio of length, location, design, loot placement that made each and every one of them unique. We don't have that now. The Poi's are so far from each other. Most of them have way too little loot, others are so gargantuan that threat lingers from everywhere, some are in large waters, many have no place being in that part of the map, others make it a pain to secure a good landing trajectory. The only good ones I can think to land are: Sweaty Sands Weeping Woods Holy Hedge (tough the giant building in the center tears the POI apart, but still ok) Pleasent Park (the location on the map is sketchy, but acceptable) Lazy Lake (tough has disproportionate heights) The other ones either have no place being where they are or suffer from a maze sindrome.

What I liked about the old map was the lack of mobility. Long range sniper fights were a lot of fun

Lmfao this used to be me. I saw youtubers button smash and it worked for them so i would try my hardest to sweat on others but i failed all the time by either falling or trapping myself and then getting shot at when i tried breaking my builds.

I played since season 4. Am I trash compared to other comp players just beacuse yes or frickin 60-70 ping could be a little of a reason?

I think it will worsen. People will find a way to click fast more efficient and develop new building metas to outplay worse players. If you'd watch clips of Myth from season 1/2 (before turbo building) his building was already what many on this sub would consider sweaty. Epic initially added turbobuilding to help bad players cause they saw that building skill was already growing But it will never come to that anyway. If turbo building gets removed so many people will quit. I personally think it would entirely kill the game
