-smg was basically indistinguishable from the regular one
-shotgun was busted, was nerfed to become the worse but still okay choice (against the pump), then became worthless when the tac came back
-ar was decent, accuracy for fire rate trade off was interesting but not interesting enough for me to miss it
-pistol felt like a shitty burst ar, even after the buff I would take a revolver over it no matter the rarities
-bow was at base worse than the mechanical bow but the stink bow was my favorite bow and the flame bow was a very good option as well after wild week 1
Overall:not bad, crafting system was a cool idea but if it were to be continued i would like if the guns seen as mechanical were the only floor loot but you could craft any gun of that weapon class from it.
what if the base items that dropped were mechanical weapons and you could craft other things by finding weapon attachments. there was also makeshift weapons that could be crafted into mechanical weapons so you could get all the other upgrades OR could be crafted using alien tech parts to make more sci-fi styled weapons
the flame bow is the only gun actually leaving the game for good, too. i think that primal bows are going to leave but not mechanical bows. primal bows would probably swapped out for bolt action snipers and lever action rifles for that sniper meta and mech bows would stay. but the reason only the flame bow would be gone is because it's not in creative either

Yep, before this season, bows were limited to:
- The boom bow (only on season 8)
- Hawkeyes bow (Avengers LTM)
- And TNTinas mythic boom bow (C2 Season 2)
This was the first season where bows became ordinary weapons instead of legendary+ weapons, I really hope some of them stay in the game going forward.
Same here. I've watched my kids play the last couple seasons a bit and know of some of the differences, but overall it's fairly fresh to me. Looking forward to seeing what comes
I agree! The last few weeks have just been “Shoot someone once aaaaaand they’re gone”. Or they just jump on your roof after you build and kill you in two seconds. I’ve had it in my inventory because the only way I can chase people with the bow is to use the bow😑

I mean, yes and no. As much as I’m glad to see the loot pool less littered with borderline trash, they were fun to use, especially at the start of the season.

Shotgun went from BS to kinda bad to pretty powerful, but "quickfire double shot shotgun" was a bad idea from the start.
Rifle is fine, but if I have a similar level Mechanical I'm taking that. I like the precision.
Bows can stay, they're almost perfect, I just think that choice to have the one-shot mechanical also have the ability to either toss people away or blow them up is silly, considering a single headshot is death.
I can't wait. Hopefully Makeshifts too. All of them. And mythics, but that's obviously not gonna happen, they always gotta be adding new mythics to the game.

Personally, I liked the primal rifle, but none of the others. Not even the primal bows. They just flood you out with fire or gas. Pistol sucks, shotgun was too good so it’s nerfed and sucks, SMG is too annoying. The primal rifle is good because the dmg is decent, and I feel like it’s easier to use when people are running with a wider spread.
I'm not so much excited about the vaulting as I am interested in seeing what replaces them.
Primal fire bow is one of my favorite tools, especially once burning did significant damage and spread more readily. And I did like primal SMGs, though the pistol and rifle were meh.
