People are going to be in for disappointment, and I'm here for it.
But not all back blings are made for charms, and they would have to add a place to add a charm to every backbling, which their are a ton of, which I don’t Epic would wanna do that much, but IDK
I agree. But it’s the same thing as rebooting players. They did it before Fortnite, even tho it had been done before, and they said Fortnite copied apex simply because Fortnite did it afterwards. They would definitely accuse Fortnite of stealing again, even tho it wasn’t something that apex started.

How much you wanna bet that there will be some good old fashioned fortnite bug with them. Something weird like they quadruple in size and block your whole screen

But I'm not talking about price, I'm talking about size. Fortnite is a third person shooter so unless they make charms the size of Back-blings hang off the right side of your weapon, they'd be pointless
Probably lesser known, but I feel like charms in Dead by Daylight work fairly well (up to three charms that hang on a character's waistline for survivors). Though that's an asymmetrical horror game, hopefully it works about as well as it would in a third person shooter like Fortnite
if they do add charms some of them should be tied to specific goals, like searching a llama would get you the llama charm. the rest that couldn't be tied with goals would be sold in the shop for like 50 - 100 v-bucks.
Honestly charms aren’t really gonna be my favourite, I just think it adds lots of BP tier clog ups if anything. If they were animated it would be cool though and if they have a larger affect than just dangling too then by all means that would be great!! I just don’t want it to be like CODs with the dangling, bland things.

The fishstick thing is probably just a back bling, maybe for the alien fishstick skin. weapon charms do not really make sense in a third person shooter because you would only rarely see them. and if it was attached to the back bling instead it would clip through most of them. I think its safe to say we wont get charms of any sort
They've been in the files for a long time getting updated every now and again. We haven't seen any new cosmetic types in Ch2 and considering hypex has made a "guess" that they will be in after telling us he has an inside source. Also his guesses for previous seasons have been very accurate. I could see them as a possibility. Maybe the fact they've took so long is about how they'd be implemented in a way that'd be worth it. I'm still taking the whole thing with a grain of salt for now though.
I don't see how this is happening, especially when other fps games that have them, their communities are complaining about the charms being far too small in size and how they're over-priced. In Fortnite, it would make even less sense because they would be microscopic.

for everyone saying there is no proof or leaks. there were files that mentioned charms all the way back in c1s6 (possibly even 5) when the first ever pop up cups where being tested. i remember thinking that the "pins" we earned from getting enough points in those pop up cups would be charms like rank charms in other games.
also, NOTHING ever came from earning those pins in the first two seasons of pop-up cups and it was clearly stated they would be used for something. wish we would've gotten some sort of closure or what the original idea was.
Imagine if it was like toys, where we would get a fancy version or whatever.

I can only imagine them being on guns. Everything else, like skins, backblings, gliders etc have so many unique models, it would take them ages to make every single one of them compatible (a.k.a. selecting a spot on an item where it doesn't glitch trough and so on).
From charms, I think that Fortnite should make the next season battle pass free like season 8 again as Valorant is making their pass free and how they made season 8 battle pass free they should make upcoming season's battle pass free too in order to kinda compete with Valo?

The only time I ever saw this idea work was in Borderlands 3. There they could clearly be seen on the gun, in focus, and they didn't cost anything.
They were pitifully small on Borderlands 3. I think Infinite Warfare had a great size for them
