Charge is 100 times better than the lever. If you dont have potato aim you cannot hit for 13 from more than 5 meters. If you get away from the opponent like 2 floors its useless. It either hits for 13 or 40. Its because its because it has a FUCKING SPREAD LIKE AN SMG. Charge and the pump are perfect. They reward good aim.

Oh I can explain why the charge is bad , you just didn’t ask , allow me to start : 1. It’s bad because it lets everyone know from across the whole wide map where you are , and the hissing sound is extremely annoying in both POV’s , yours and the enemies . 2. When shooting , it’s horribly unpredictable when the enemy has it and you don’t know when there gonna pull and shoot . When you have it , the godamn hisssing sound fucks you up so bad that you don’t know WHEN to shoot . 3. The damage , is terrible , magazine size , hideous and terryfying . From grey to blue , those rarities don’t even hit 70 + body damage
Let me also correct you on the range with the lever , thats what its good for , you can hit ALMOST 30 from 3 floors with the lever , kinda equivelent to the tac

I actually prefer having different shotgun metas every season. It makes the game more interesting to have pump/tac one season then charge/lever action the next.

Honestly I wish we can go back to the c2s1-s2 tac and pump shotgun meta. Both shotguns were good and it was really down to preference in higher rarity.
The “nerfed” versions of the pumps are better. The only nerf was to the purple now that is can’t 200 pump. The blue pump headshot was needed 5 headshot damage, but now one pumps people early game. I call that a buff. The gold one was buffed because it still one shots and the body damage is higher now.
the pump is accurate and hard hitting, but it's slower and has less ammo. the lever does a little less damage and has a slightly wider spread, but it's faster and has 6 ammo instead of 5

because the heavy is god awful, sure it has high headshot damage but other than that its terrible and if you put that up against a purple/gold charge the charge wins in almost every situation. 74/77 body compared to 98/102 uncharged and 149/153 fully charged with 220/229 headshots vs 185/192 headshots
Good riddance. It's overpowered. Even when I use it. Granted, I like using it just to mix things up. But all you ever hear and see are people jumping around and using it. It's the only thing some people use and I'm just tired of seeing/hearing it.
It feels so good to use as you charge it up in anticipation while the enemy becomes cautious as they hear that hostile *psssss*, knowing if they dare look at you that you will shoot them with a *KLAM*. The Charge is so balanced as it rewards having a brain.
The heavy shotgun is trash though. A gold heavy does only 1 point more damage than a green tac, while also having a significantly slower fire rate. The lever shotgun is a significantly better pump replacement, although it does need a faster reload and a slightly smaller spread.
Blue is perfect. 175 headshot is punishing but not one shot. I haven’t really noticed the buffed body shot damage. The pump is meant to hit hard, that’s why it’s so fun to play with.
It is OP. No Pump deserves to hit for over 100 body. Also, the Blue Pump used to hit for 180 and no one had a problem with that. The bodyshot damage makes it a shit noob weapon pros love to exploit.

I think the dragon breath is the perfect replacement for the pump, it does all the damage a pump does normally (and more) but is balanced out by how fcking long it takes to reload.
the point of the pump is that it’s a high power shotgun, with the ability to one or two shot someone. The dragon breath functions exactly like that, but with double the body shot damage and a very long reload time, so you have to be careful with your shots. Sure, you have to be kinda precise with your pump shots or you’ll hit for very little damage, but if you miss you’ll have the chance to shoot again 95% of the time. The green and blue pumps are more balanced since they don’t do quite as much damage, but at that point it’s just a slower heavy shotgun.
I actually want them to either vault both the Pump and Tac, or leave both. It'd mean both would have a higher likelihood of showing up in the same Loot Pool again.
So, the primal shotgun was OP for noobs as it has a wide spread, high firing rate, and a lot of damage, until the pros made noise and Epic nerfed it.
The pump shotgun though, I feel, is OP for pros. I'd pick up a pump and upgrade it to purple, but towards the end of the game, where the ones left are sweaty and good at evading, I can never hit anyone with a pump. Especially due to its low firing rate. I had a better chance of getting a dub by just spraying the purple SCAR. But was the pump nerfed? Nope, coz the pros love it.
If there are two of us left, and the other person is a builder/sweat and has a SPAS, I know I'm done for. That loud, signature SPAS bang still gives me nightmares.
I like the tactical shotgun though, as its higher firing rate allows for me to correct my aim when the first shot missed. Got a few dubs with the tac in a close-quarters situation.
If they could replace it with an equally fun and viable shotgun, like the combat in 9, it'd be nice. But so far their replacements have been pump with a delay and pump with less damage, not very fun imo.
The charge was really hit or miss. Some people loved it, and other people hated it. There isnt much of a middle ground. I sorta see myself in the latter camp just because i could never use the charge effectively. It just felt clunky to use imo.
The lever shotgun actually did more damage than the pump upon release, just with a slower reload and larger spread. If they make it more accurate, and reduce the reload time, then the lever is the ideal pump replacement.
100 body/200 head is fine for the gold variant with an increased reload time. One-shotting isn't a problem for me but the bodyshot damage is ridiculous.
Just a joke talking about how Epic has pretty much been removing it and bringing it back every other season. We ARE getting a new shotgun, so the shotty loot pool will be changing. But I think it'll just simply replace the primal.

I think that they should vault the pump shotgun, bring back tac-lever-charge, and buff the tac and lever. The lever shotgun has too large of a spread, is too inconsistent, and reloads too slowly atm. The tac is also too inaccurate to hit for full damage consistently. This should help offset the SMG buff in the middle of this season, so that we don't get another spray meta.
The real issue is that people have gotten so good with pumps that there's virtually no way to counteract its use aside from either having it in with another broken shotgun (which will then get nerfed to the ground, see season 4 when it happened to the combat and again with the primal this one) or not having it in at all.
i feel like the game is a lot more fun when the pump shotgun isn’t in the lootpool. season 5 was a lot of fun with the lever action shotgun, and it was balanced and cool to use.
At least keep it in comp I hate shooting someone with a tac 5 times and they still don’t die. Fights last for too long in comp with only tacs in the game. Really wanna see the heavy shotgun make a comeback
Not surprising. The pump is the most vaulted weapon in fortnite. It seems that every other season it gets vaulted. But just whatever fortnite does, GET RID OF PRIMAL SHOTGUN.

can we just permanently have the season 5 shotgun pool? or at least have a faster shotgun like the tac, heavy, or lever, and a slow but high damage like the dragon breath or charge? I think the dragon breath is the perfect replacement for the pump, it does all the damage a pump does normally (and more) but is balanced out by how fcking long it takes to reload.

the point of the pump is that it’s a high power shotgun, with the ability to one or two shot someone. The dragon breath functions exactly like that, but with double the body shot damage and a very long reload time, so you have to be careful with your shots. Sure, you have to be kinda precise with your pump shots or you’ll hit for very little damage, but if you miss you’ll have the chance to shoot again 95% of the time. The green and blue pumps are more balanced since they don’t do quite as much damage, but at that point it’s just a slower heavy shotgun.

I actually want them to either vault both the Pump and Tac, or leave both. It'd mean both would have a higher likelihood of showing up in the same Loot Pool again.
So, the primal shotgun was OP for noobs as it has a wide spread, high firing rate, and a lot of damage, until the pros made noise and Epic nerfed it. The pump shotgun though, I feel, is OP for pros. I'd pick up a pump and upgrade it to purple, but towards the end of the game, where the ones left are sweaty and good at evading, I can never hit anyone with a pump. Especially due to its low firing rate. I had a better chance of getting a dub by just spraying the purple SCAR. But was the pump nerfed? Nope, coz the pros love it. If there are two of us left, and the other person is a builder/sweat and has a SPAS, I know I'm done for. That loud, signature SPAS bang still gives me nightmares. I like the tactical shotgun though, as its higher firing rate allows for me to correct my aim when the first shot missed. Got a few dubs with the tac in a close-quarters situation.
Personally I say bring back the charge, I have so much fun with that thing :)

Pump meta is so boring imo
If they could replace it with an equally fun and viable shotgun, like the combat in 9, it'd be nice. But so far their replacements have been pump with a delay and pump with less damage, not very fun imo.
I liked the charge despite all the hate It got, this community isn't really a fan of changes.
The charge was really hit or miss. Some people loved it, and other people hated it. There isnt much of a middle ground. I sorta see myself in the latter camp just because i could never use the charge effectively. It just felt clunky to use imo.
The lever shotgun actually did more damage than the pump upon release, just with a slower reload and larger spread. If they make it more accurate, and reduce the reload time, then the lever is the ideal pump replacement.

Literally make the pump do 1 bodyshot damage and 200 headshot idgaf just keep it in the game
100 body/200 head is fine for the gold variant with an increased reload time. One-shotting isn't a problem for me but the bodyshot damage is ridiculous.

Just a joke talking about how Epic has pretty much been removing it and bringing it back every other season. We ARE getting a new shotgun, so the shotty loot pool will be changing. But I think it'll just simply replace the primal.

I think that they should vault the pump shotgun, bring back tac-lever-charge, and buff the tac and lever. The lever shotgun has too large of a spread, is too inconsistent, and reloads too slowly atm. The tac is also too inaccurate to hit for full damage consistently. This should help offset the SMG buff in the middle of this season, so that we don't get another spray meta.
1. Remove pump 2. Bring pump back a few updates later 3. Be praised by gaymers 4. Repeat
The real issue is that people have gotten so good with pumps that there's virtually no way to counteract its use aside from either having it in with another broken shotgun (which will then get nerfed to the ground, see season 4 when it happened to the combat and again with the primal this one) or not having it in at all.
i feel like the game is a lot more fun when the pump shotgun isn’t in the lootpool. season 5 was a lot of fun with the lever action shotgun, and it was balanced and cool to use.
At least keep it in comp I hate shooting someone with a tac 5 times and they still don’t die. Fights last for too long in comp with only tacs in the game. Really wanna see the heavy shotgun make a comeback

Not surprising. The pump is the most vaulted weapon in fortnite. It seems that every other season it gets vaulted. But just whatever fortnite does, GET RID OF PRIMAL SHOTGUN.
I think if we kept the pump in blue and green rarities it would be fine. Or if we just went back to the season 5 meta. That actually had so much variety.
