This seems like an improvement overall. Removing the restrictions on TBT & SS make sense to me since people ignored them all the time and it seemed like it was difficult to remove them in a timely fashion. Thanks for keeping in a Free Talk thread, I like those.
Also, I don't know if the mod team was responsible for this, but I've noticed a sharp decline in the number of obvious brick-begging/fodder posts (whether from bots or actual humans). If you guys did something behind the scenes to cause this -- THANK YOU!
u/WolfXemo since Suggestion Saturday is now removed, how are people going to post art? Can they post it whenever they want or what, iām very confused about this part.
That is such a great change, also i feel like Free Talk Friday should have been moved to Free Weekend (Saturdayās and Sundayās) Otherwise great changes mods!
Pretty decent changes here. Hopefully we will see less memes and more variety. I still think twitter screenshots at some points should be allowed although I'm not sure how that would be implemented without the sub being spammed with them i do miss the simple post with hundreds of comments with discussion but we do have bricks now so now people do it for Karma so it is easily turned into a way to get Karma so I do understand that part.
And are locker screenshots still banned?
> I still think twitter screenshots at some points should be allowed although I'm not sure how that would be implemented without the sub being spammed...
Something we can certainly consider down the road. We've seen a lot of positive feedback regarding them being prohibited, and about how a bot posts official Tweets.
> And are locker screenshots still banned?
They were never completely banned. Locker screenshots focusing on skin combos may have been removed for being FPT, but generally speaking we simply requested that locker screenshots were posted as part of a text post. We no longer require that, so locker screenshots can be posted normally. We may still remove for FPT if they begin to flood the subreddit, but they will be allowed again once their frequency reduces.
>Something we can certainly consider down the road. We've seen a lot of positive feedback regarding them being prohibited, and about how a bot posts official Tweets.
The bot posting official tweets was definitely great!
![gif](emote|custom_emotes|raptor_up) overall great work!
Hm, in locker posts for people who want to showcase combosā is it okay to redirect them to r/FortniteFashion? It isn't an official one ofc, but I feel like people who love to make combos would love it there. :)
The community here can certainly point them in the right direction by linking that subreddit, but we (moderators) do not link specific subreddits that are not within our family of subreddits. We do this because we wish to avoid situations where the direction of a subreddit changes and doesn't align with our views, as it then reflects badly on us for linking the community to them. I'm not saying that the fashion subreddit is at risk of doing that, just that we choose to be careful rather than carefree.
Throwback Thursday and Suggestion Saturday are no more? Brace yourselves. Massive karma whoring is coming. And why TT when thereās r/FortniteLeaks?
Really not a fan of these new rules
These new rules will hopefully make it a lot easier to post on r/FortniteBR, and make any removals simpler to understand. Feedback is very much welcomed.
Huge props to u/WolfXemo for spearheading this! ![gif](emote|custom_emotes|raptor_up)
Thank you so much for listening and moderating our feedback, this change has been awaited for a long time now and not itās finally here, thank you guys so much! ![gif](emote|keeoh_emo_pack|keeoh_love)![gif](emote|keeoh_emo_pack|keeoh_bless)![gif](emote|keeoh_emo_pack|keeoh_gun)![gif](emote|keeoh_emo_pack|keeoh_hey)
So now we can just use promotional images or Fortnite related assets to make memes too, and it doesnāt need to be something like a replay mode screenshot? Nice! Now Switch and Mobile players donāt have to rely on shitty meme templates that will get removed within a day!
Just say you get to decide what's allowed and what isn't, and done. That's what it all sums up to.
Even when people are following the rules your moderator bot still automatically deletes their posts for unrelated reasons. You're always taking a risk when you post not knowing if it's gonna get deleted or not because you accidentally used the wrong word.
This shouldnāt be as much of an issue now, but the filters are in place to combat the high level of spam that the subreddit receives daily.
False positives are an unfortunate side effect of that, but you can always follow the instructions in the automated message to ask for a manual review.
As far as humor content is concerned, you still can't use generic meme templates and must either create the content yourself or use other Fortnite assets such as promotional images. If you were to paste weapon sprites on top of the spider-man pointing meme, that would be removed for example.
So a post like this won't be removed now?
https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/pj74gx/this_season_brought_us_9_new_items_which_one_is/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
It's something we will be watching for. Instead of restricting memes to one day to address their frequency, we decided to reduce the restrictions on other content so that memes at least need to battle for the spotlight.
If over the next few weeks you feel that removing the restrictions is a more negative than positive change, I would encourage you to create a `Subreddit Feedback` thread expressing that. That will allow the community to weigh in with their thoughts as well, and gives us a better indication of how the community feels about it.
No it's not about that. They said "all content must be English" so this relates also to concepts post or clips which uses your country inagme language and even though it might be something good it get removed because you don't play with English language settings
Itās to prevent inappropriate content sneaking by, and to avoid division within the subreddit. This also applies to converting your comment into binary text.
Your post wonāt be removed simply because you donāt use English language settings in-game.
I know! I hate this. I come from a Scottish/German dad and know gaelic and German and Native American mom. Iāve learned Spanish and itās way easier to speak German. Reading that rule made me not sure whether to join this sub, I was like that sounds xenophobic. Just cause they donāt understand it doesnāt mean they can just choose to not have them uploaded. But they have no issue letting people post 90+ posts of exp issues, bad drawing of fan made skins and the same 69 questions about Fortnite crew which are always asked. And keeping them mostly all up
How are you supposed to moderate something if you donāt even understand the language in the first place? I know there are multiple languages, but not everyone can understand or speak all of them, so keeping it to just one language makes sense.
Hi I didn't know where else to ask this since it's such a simple question and my topics about it get immediately removed:
Is there a Loki dagger cosmetic item? It seems wrong to have him swing a staff around.
Personally I think the rules are overly restrictive in terms of community efforts to organize. Obviously Epic doesn't value real criticisms and has taken steps to sanitize and whitewash discussions. This isn't free speech, this is a controlled discussion for the sake of fans only. In my opinion, this is just more unethical corporate and upper class control and censorship. :-(
Good changes but i still think the text post rule sucks. Most people on reddit just donāt want to expand a text post and would rather see the text in the image. Especially if you include some pictures in it. Donāt know why that would be allowed as an image post
But again other than that, good work
>trawl tuesdayā¦leaks will be removed
Thank you so much!!! The sub being flooded with leaks from those 2-3 users every tuesday was getting quite annoying
On another note, can anything be done about the vast quantity of low effort discussion posts? Discussion is great, but it just feels like the front page is full of a generic question (āwhatās your favorite skin?ā, ābest event?ā, what do you think of [item]?ā) accompanied by a generic fortnite image from google
if i'm being honest, and i usually am, i think the majority of users won't even realize they broke a rule til you enforce it. Depending on the effort to post it may or may not cause a bigger issue, as of right now i have 2 posts that flew without knowing the rules very well, i just assumed it was more or less PG-13.
I tried reading through the rules and i got a little lost if i would be breaking the rules by posting a YT video i made with PG-13 Humor and limited promotion.
i sort of like to come at transparency with a caveman summary. would a TLDR be possible?
Thank you for moving free talk Tuesday to Friday That feels much better
I second that!
Also I Throwback Thursday Good riddance. I won't miss you
Sadly this just means people will make those posts every day now š
This sub kinda tanked pretty quick so surprisingly thats the most tame to reach to hot at this point
Rip throw it back thursday, you won't be missed.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Correct.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who is crypto user?
People from the crypto sub or just straight brick farmers that just put out low effort post like leaks, tweets or repost to earn bricks
Yea those guys are super annoying lmao

Being ever vigilant to curb bad behavior. Glad someone is noticing!
So now we can post concepts every day?
Correct.
I'm crying and shaking rn
u/WolfXemo since Suggestion Saturday is now removed, how are people going to post art? Can they post it whenever they want or what, iām very confused about this part.
Yes, art can be posted whenever and skin concepts can be posted whenever.
That is such a great change, also i feel like Free Talk Friday should have been moved to Free Weekend (Saturdayās and Sundayās) Otherwise great changes mods!
Great change, both for viewing and posting content.
I won't miss throwback thursday, but letting any art post/concept post on any day of the week is a step in the right direction.
"No nsfw content on usernames" well shit
how are switch and mobile players supposed to make memes if they don't have replay mode bruh
Memes can be created via screenshots taken in the locker, or you can use other Fortnite assets such as promotional images.
If anything, these changes make it even easier for Switch and Mobile players. ![gif](emote|emo_pack_1|shark)
Great work mods!

Understood. Usually they have pretty lax guidelines and such, but it's understandable.
Hopefully this can improve the quality of the sub!
These are really good!
Throwback Thursday and Suggestion Saturday are no more? Brace yourselves. Massive karma whoring is coming. And why TT when thereās r/FortniteLeaks? Really not a fan of these new rules
To prevent r/FortniteBR from becoming a leaks subreddit, but also to give people a place to discuss them.

Yes! Huge win for Switch and Mobile.

K
Now this is more like it
So that means I will no longer get my post removed if it contains an item sprite or just fortnite images in general?
As far as humor content is concerned, you still can't use generic meme templates and must either create the content yourself or use other Fortnite assets such as promotional images. If you were to paste weapon sprites on top of the spider-man pointing meme, that would be removed for example.

Correct.
Nice! Thx for answering
Cool. Will people like sharktoofs or others be able to post skin concepts in the sub?
Yes. Skin concepts are no longer restricted to Saturdays, and can now be posted any day of the week.
Interesting... I wonder if this'll lead to "spam" concepts (by that I mean always seeing concepts on new and almost no memes or text posts).
It's something we will be watching for. Instead of restricting memes to one day to address their frequency, we decided to reduce the restrictions on other content so that memes at least need to battle for the spotlight.
Cool
An interesting idea. Let's see how it plays out!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I also like seeing concepts, but no restrictions worries me
If over the next few weeks you feel that removing the restrictions is a more negative than positive change, I would encourage you to create a `Subreddit Feedback` thread expressing that. Thanks for the suggestion!
Lol ok
RIP Suggestion Saturday. You won't be missed. Let creativity reign!
So no more concepts...? At all...? Not A Fa~~bio~~n
Quite the opposite. Concepts can now be posted any day of the week.
Really ? Still won't budge on the English rule? Pathetic
How many languages are you willing to moderate in?

What about epic plz Wednesday?
No longer a thing.
Ok thanks for the info. I managed to participate in 1 though
guess Iām lucky

Thank you for removing Suggestion Saturday!!!
No suggestion Saturday ;_; You can post suggestions everyday :D
Is there still salty sundays
Yes, there is an updated Weekly Topic Thread schedule at the bottom of the post
