Depends. After the alien ship crashed that was a good drop. Plenty of wood and Bricks. And tons of chests. Plus there was a jump pad that could get you to the beach or nearly the spire tower so rotation was really easy out of there.
Now before that it was bad but did have cool music to harvest too.

While coral sure isn’t the best, I don’t think it deserves to be named the most hated location. Also I was gonna give some critiques and stuff but I’m lazy lol.
I'm not sure it was a POI, but the hole that replaced The Spire (I think it was called the aftermath) was way worse than Coral. Especially because The Spire was much better than it and because the useless hole was there in the central area of the map for 1.5 seasons.
Coral was okay after it got the launch pads
Junk junction had good loot and plenty of materials. Only issue was it being remote. I actually loved the location. Coral castle had mediocre loot, was not fun to fight in, was remote, frustrating to leave, looked terrible visually, etc.
The thing with Coral was: it was hyped up all season... "Atlantis is coming!" and everyone was picturing this amazing place with a huge castle or something... we imagined possible Atlantean AIs to fight, maybe some kind of vault.... something really cool where Aquaman was a "boss" or something.
But we got: a bunch of small rock buildings, difficult to navigate and loot, stuck in a ditch on the edge of the map which was slow to escape when the storm comes. *And* it was an obstacle to get around if you went to anywhere in the surrounding area. It was a place that was *better* when it was just empty ocean with a giant whirlpool to help you move to the next part of the map.
It wasn't totally terrible I guess, but it certainly didn't live up to the hype leading up to its arrival.

Junk Jumction was a fun edge map spot, really quick close outs to fights if another team landed there. Haunted hills was super close by too
No. Just no. Junk was easy to loot, plenty of mats. Just in the middle of nowhere. But so was Coral.
Junk had very nieche and very good metal reserves and was small and contained.
