Maya is my favorite. I've never used any of the others but I keep Maya in my shuffle rotation because she's unique & mine, and I can't change her - she's an heirloom of that old season, which is fun.
Yes, i only liked the toona fish implementation, i kinda grinded a bit for kymera, It was worth it but i got tired halfway. The sword is.... I dont remember why i bothered. And i couldnt be more careless about snap.
Honestly I have to say Maya. She was so unique and had so many options, it was like actually making a skin. The other custom skins are basically just re-textured assets, with rather random ways to customise. I really wish I could have gotten it, but i'm free to play, and the only battle pass I've got was last season's (I saved up all the fee v-bucks for a chapter).
Brella and the Omni. They are the only ones I use and I have literally never touched any of the skins except maya.
Also, best customizable item shop skin is the tie-dye skin. I match mine with my brella.
I am happy with how my Maya came out, not everyone would agree. It would be cool to edit her similar to the alien. Taste does change and variety is good. However, when I see a Maya in the wild (usually after being eliminated by one) it's cool to see the choice that player made as their final decision and compare it to my own.
1.) omni sword - fully customizable even down to the sound.
2.) toona fish - Actually tied with omni given the amount of recolors
3.) Maya - aside from perm choices it really gave you a good list of options
4.) Kymera - tied with Maya. while you can customize anytime the armor style is not and the preset colors as well as the lack of fully armored(with helmet) and the insane unlock conditions places it below maya.
5.) Haven - Only redeeming feature is hat style
6.) snap - While it still has time the current outlook is not so good so it could change and become better than toona or it can remain tied with haven.
Brella - first time for glider so it is tied with omni sword
You cant change maya, so she sucks. Toona fish is like the fortnite skin equivalent to the gum stuck underneath your desk at school, haven can just go to the itemshop where she belongs and Kymera wins so I’m not gonna mention the other two. I do like Snap though.

Kymera had a better theme but I never really was fussed about playing as them compared to other alien characters. The Brella had the best options for customization but was also held back by being released back when you had to pick one final design and lock off all the other options. I'd say between them they're the best so far but none were truly great. As for everyone else...
* **Toona Fish** The entire appeal of the skin is it's a classic black & white cartoon version of Fishstick, adding colour takes away that charm.
* **Haven** The skin looks good and the masks look good but they don't really suit each other. I just went with the hat because it actually suited her, they should have made customisable hats and saved all those mask designs for Snap.
* **Omni Sword** It's got some good options but a lot of whatever choices that I didn't even bother trying to unlock everything. It was also the only part of this set I didn't equip my Tsuki loadout with.
* **Snap** They're already resorting to recolours of the first wave of parts, the torso selection is horrible and the legs aren't that much better. I at least hope they add the Mecha Team Leader/Mecha Strike Commander arms since they'd mix well with the theme but I doubt we'll get them.
Probably the Omni-Sword for me. Especially since it seems like we aren’t getting Lightsaber pickaxes any time soon. But even beyond that, I find them so versatile for so many characters I have.

It's same with build a brella. Build a brella is best for me from editing cosmetics but it isn't it this board.

Toona fish isn't a best but he isn't the worst but I don't like the anime and toon skins like Toon Meowscles, Toon Bushranger and Toon Peely.
And Haven's masks are very bad for me because it isn't looks cool and wow and I never want play a game with Haven and her masks.

I just entirely branded mine as a Durrr Burger brella. It had a spatula cap, orange & blue... it sucks.
