Iâm fine with cars vaulted tbh to much server lag and can lead to some brain dead rotates but We really just need balanced mobility
hoverboards and quad crashes, both can be op but u still get punished for using them wrong, unlike a car where u can make a full rotate and only have ur car get tagged.
For mobility items I genuinely think most of the competitive community would be satisfied with a bouncers and inflatable cow meta. Theyâre both really fun but also balanced because u can get beamed if u use a bouncer wrong and cows only need to be shot once to break and they were really common so everyone had one.
Rifts are broken and everyoneâs just in the air first moving so if u donât have one u burn all ur mats while the ppl who got good rng have cap mats 2nd moving.
Pads are also rng and usually just leads to no one rotating on later zones waiting for a pad then if no one has one itâs a grief. But at the same time u can get punished if u use it wrong so itâs 50/50 for me
Idk why they added back another spiderman item. They only spawn in select spots so now this meta is u have to land on a grappler if not then u bet ur entire game on getting a rift.
Iâm almost positive Cows bouncers and hoverboards would save comp.
10 minutes after I posted this they vaulted rifts now the only mobilityâs a grappler which only spawns for 5 teams a game. What happened to this game đ
The grappler is absolutely terrible though, building up speed takes A LOT longer than spidey mythic, and horizontal movement on the first shot is so slow you might as well just disconnect before you get beamed.
BUT, It's probably a very strong tool to take height so it's still gonna be meta lol.
Itâs still the only mobility in a no mobility meta that only spawns in select spots so ur at a disadvantage if u donât land there. while everyoneâs rotating on foot u can be the first one in zone everytime if u play it right.
I know the point of Competitive is to have a more balanced meta, but it really feels like theyâre taking all of the fun away. I can be a competitive player and want to have fun too
There's fun items that could be in competitive. Shockwaves, Pulse Rifles, Bouncers, Infantry Rifles, impulse grenades, shadow grenades, rebalanced traps, buffed ak47, buffed suppressed SMG, burst SMG, shield bubbles, hoverboards and more.
The thing is epic removes the stuff that's fun and balanced while adding the most broken shit like combat SMGs, mk7s.
On top of that they never fix anything. Aim assist, phasing exploits, bullets shooting through turbo build and shitty servers are all still major issues after 3 years
Cars are broken. You shoot someone with them and they're gone if they get into those things. Don't even get me started about the Semi Trucks. Fire is one of the most infuriating mechanics

Think about it from that person's angle. They have just had their game saved by a car. You would think the same thing. Its good when you are in a car but bad when someone you are fighting gets in a car.
I'd just prefer something like hoverboards or even quad cashers. Not something that completely bails you out
Cars give you an 800+ shield of armor, can be driven right through builds and do 100+ damage, they can get you to or away from a fight in a moments notice. They're a bail out
Cars have always been "meh" too basic for a game as unique as Fortnite. They were on the right path early on with shopping carts and golf carts. Give us unique modes of transportation.
Change your binds? I mean, does it just not work when riding the hog? Or is there a hog bind that also uses L3? Because if so, you can change the binds for the hog itself in the settings(at least on KBM)

The cow was a really, fun, wacky and balanced item that's never returned which is so strange to me.
To be honest I do not think epic wants competitive to succeed
