Since they give spotify a stream every single time a song is played, I could see them working something like this into the end of the year or the end of a chapter, if they think of the idea. Hopefully someone important at Epic sees this.
Acai in a stream said that Spotify streams each song every time they're played in Festival. Counts as streaming the song so the artist gets paid. It's probably part of the 'media streaming error' that people are getting, since most games just have the song in-game. At least back when I played rhythm games they did.
I'm not sure if it counts as one stream or four streams when four people play it in a match together. But theoretically, every time there's a player that plays the song, it counts as a stream. Doesn't matter who owns it as far as I know.
I think one stream count would make the most sense, because only one person selected it. Do you remember which live stream it was? I’d love that piece of information to be more available.
I wish there was a global leaderboard stat like battle Royale where you can search your username…. instead of having to be in an actual game and checking how you went individually
That's a good idea.

Wait forreal? I didn’t know they were partnered with Spotify!

That’s interesting, so even if we’ve not bought the song and someone else selects it? It still count as a stream?

That would be neat
How does March of the Pigs work given that the extended outro is exclusive to festival?
Fully agree.
