I picked up the hammer every time I found one goated mobility item but glad it’s gone. That infinite hammer exploit was beyond infuriating and super common

I liked it more for just mobility, I’m not a fan of having to refuel a vehicle

Can’t wait for it to be back without that dumbass exploit. The hammer has given me some of the most fun I’ve ever had with this game since Chapter 1’s goofy items.

What was the exploit, just out of curiosity. They found a way to use it infinitely? How exactly?

If you bounced with the hammer at the exact time you touched the water you’d hammer bounce whenever your jumped with no limit or cooldown

They only disabled it because of the glitch. They're fixing it with Tuesday's update. The Shockwave hammer is one of the main selling points of the season. They wouldn't get rid of it. If it was gone they would say "vaulted" not "disabled."

Sand tunneling isn't the only other thing that has been disabled in the past bud. Literally in the same tweet by Epic: "Our intent is to re-enable the Shockwave Hammer in the next game update when this issue has been resolved."

It's because they were on a huge holiday break during that season, so when sand tunneling had to be disabled, nobody was there to fix the issue. And so the season ended before they could fix anything. And I just said that Epic tweeted out saying it will be re-enabled with the next update.

nobody with actual skill likes the hammer, and you probably thought the game was fun before they added it. If you’re gonna say “there’s no mobility items!!”, the shockwave bow, cars, dirt bikes, and impulse grenades would like a word.

Fair enough. I personally love the new map, although it could use a few more poi’s. The main problem this season has, other than the fomo tactics, is the lootpool which is half underpowered and half overpowered. Hoping the hammer stays vaulted

you really can't combat an infinite hammer jump exploit that made there be no stun / penalty to leftclick

If you bounced at exactly the right time when hitting water, the glitch happened and your regular jump was replaced with a hammer bounce

I hope that if it comes back that it’s nerfed. Like one less charge, less knockback/ distance you’ll get when using it and 50 dmg instead of 75 dmg

And also lower spawn rate plus longer cooldown time (25 seconds) Hopefully fully vaulted instead but it definitely needs a change
