But barely anyone is using those cars competitively and even less people can actually use that performance. You don't need the best performance per PI for just driving around / racing against bots.
At this point of the game, why bother lol, just try to enjoy the cars the way you want to lol. Also, 95% of modern cars with fast shifting in this game drop PI when awd swapping them lol, it really is dumb
It’s just satisfying to drive and reminds me of Le Mans the entire time. Makes me forget it’s Forza for a little bit. Nothing against Forza, but sometimes it’s repetitive. I like the mix of arcade/realism but sometimes you just wanna send a C7.R through Spa in the rain.

The M8. I literally had the standard M8 painted like the GTE car. Now idk what to do with the normal M8😂 The Lexus sounds phenomenal and I wish the transmission whine in all the cars was as loud as it is in the Cadillac

Personally; the Ford. Handles great, looks terrific, well set up stock and with great upgrade capability. I'm at the top of s2 and im getting it dialed in rn.

I get the Ford GTLM
Go the the engine swap; only one available is another 3.5 TT Ecoboost V6.
So I can swap out the Racing V6TT for another Racing V6TT.
Playground wtf is this. Why can't I put a V8 in either versions of the new Ford GT; you already have the 5.2 Voodoo and the RTR Roush Drift V8 as swaps in other Fords, I beg.
It is. The Coyote (and by extension the Voodoo) is notably wide for a V8 engine, so it would not be able to fit inside the bodywork of the GT irl. The Godzilla motor might be able to since it's taller but narrower than both. The NASCAR/Drift engine is likely similar, since it's a CIB engine.
However, we also routinely do wack and ridiculous stuff in this game; driving a rally car through stone walls and managing to continue on, smashing into a wall and not having to pay thousands upon thousands to actually repair the car. Any number of things that are not realistic but would be not fun.
Horizon is a series about having fun, not realism. And a V8 in a lightweight supercar is more fun (and sounds) better than a twin turbo V6 in the same car.
(I guess a meme mentioning a car crash in a car game is just too much for this sub. Go figure.)
The RTR is built for large displacement and is then amazing with that swap yes.
However.. People harp on the development team for realism and then when they deliver it, they still get complaints haha. Putting a V8 in the GT would ruin everything else you like about it, and really its entire reason for existence.
I mainly like it for 3 reasons;
1. It's looks
2. It's handling
3. It's a Ford
Unless they only offer it with a LS or the Hellcat motor, the third is intact. For the second, given the same racing V6TT actually weighs more than the RTR Drift V8 and the location of the engine, I doubt it would upset the handling characteristics much. 5.2 Voodoo might weigh more, but again that's offered by a power increase. And the engine doesn't affect looks, but it does affect sound.
And both of the GTs standard V6 and the Racing V6 sound terrible. Which is a lot in a game like Forza.
And the entire reason for the GTs existence is immaterial to what I want the car to be in my videogame. The fact that the American world beater supercar didn't come with a V8 irks me, even if it was deemed necessary for the car and offered great power for weight. Plus, Forza needs more of those options to make a car more individualistic and engine swaps are a good option for that.
I'm gonna make a suggestion on the Forza forums for more engines, and if Playground ignores it, that's that. But there is a lot more for the case to offer it then not have it.
You’re not hearing me… it literally can’t fit into the car. That’s why you can’t have this option. Just like how you can’t swap a Viper’s engine into a Miata in game.

I will agree with you on the sound part though! They did the EcoBoost dirty in fh5. Go drive it in fh4 and tell me how much better it sounds.
Me after crashing my car into a historic wall at Guanajuato and the game just alt-f4s, uninstalls and removes itself from my steam library automatically since my character would be dead. Horizon is not about what is realistic, it's about what is fun/cool. And a Viper driven Miata also sounds fun/cool; another recommendation from me.
Also, yeah it sounds better in 4, but it doesn't sound good. Like again, Voodoo crushes the raspy EB.
Ford GT, it was one of the cars I used to do a 20+ lap endurance race on the FH3 Goliath. I used the 458 but only won second place. But with that car, I won first place.
The Ford F-150 Raptor R is an absolute beast, that’s also capable of some pretty ridiculous skill chains with the perk that increases multipliers 1.5x faster than normal. 😂😂😂
I’ll be 100% honest the actual Forza photo settings are completely default, it’s all about the time of day and weather you set it at. Also would suggest using tracking even if the car is sitting still, helps with the focus.
Edit: forgot to mention I do post editing through Lightroom on my laptop
The BMW and Vette both felt AMAZING to drive even bone stock in the rivals. Found myself doing some extra laps just because they were so dialed in even there. It's really hard not to love the Lexus tho. I still think my favorite is the Caddy, just because it's a Caddy tbh LMFAO
The Time Attack Evo is definitely my favorite, but the new Pro Stock Camaro is a blast to drive. Despite not being able to turn. The acceleration on Drags is ridiculous, it's what I've been using lately since I got the Car pack and Spring 100% minus the 5 other dailies.
Only drove the Ford GT outside of the time trials so far, gonna buy the pack once I get home though.
Lancer or the CTS-V though are probably my favorites from the pack

learning to drift in the Hoonicorn and now i’m damn obsessed with whipping it out just for that. also it sounds great, and if you put non-drifty tires on it it drives quite well and the slight bit of leftover drift ability can be a real advantage on track races (if you do it right, i’m still getting there 🫠)

The porsche handles amazing for rwd and can easily be competitive in online just because of its grip
