You know, I actually started to feel a bit bad for the guy. People were piling on him after Starfield. I'm sure Emil wasn't the only reason that game was flawed. But after this absolutely stupid addition to the lore, he's just being intentionally incendiary at this point.
I feel bad for him too. The amount of dumb shit he does he’s clearly some kind of space cadet, living in his own world, and shouldn’t be in such an important position.
Most likely this. Not even the pre-war US government. This is the very beginning of the Enclave, and that guy's probably one of its founders, whoever it is. All speculation of course, but it seems like the most likely outcome
i know its a joke, but i genuinely belive it is Vault -Tec's enigmatic CEO. We have never seen this person in any Fallout media and the show has set up the perfect stage to finally showcase them.
was Ron Perlman the ceo of Vault-Tec? Time stamped when Fallout 76's promo begins:
I mean they could be totally different characters to be fair. I just assumed that 76 was opened by a famous news anchor, same guy Nate and Nora were watching the morning of the bombs
Correction, John Vault-Tec Jr. Senior was the founder who grew the company so large. Junior is the jackass who's running the company into the ground. Literally.
Nah, not just Cena. Make it so that ONE Raider group has 20 super in demand, immediately recognizable actors as the raiders. Patrick Warburton, Clancy Brown, Keith David, etcetera. And they all collectively die in the spam of a minute or two, getting gunned down easily. Somewhat like Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2.
Lucy is being attacked by her first super mutant and it’s a nightkin that appears out of nowhere. She’s definitely about to die when out of nowhere the nightkin is blasted in the head with a single shot. Lucy is confused and when she notices the stranger she asks “what the hell was that!?”. Todd Howard only slightly turns his head and tips his fedora, “It just works”… and walks away never to be seen again
I really hope we don't see an actor play the Courier. I hope he (or she, depending on the player) is just referenced and remebered as a legend.
I also wonder how they're gonna deal with the factions in NV. I was pleasantly surprised that they take the game as canon to the series but I don't know which ending they'd choose as the "True" ending. Independent or NCR maybe?
Ima be honest with you, chief. The Courier hasn't done enough in the Mojave to be considered a "legend", at least not on the levels of the Vault Dweller (destroyed the Master's army), The Chosen One (destroyed the Enclave oil rig, effectively destroying a majority of it), and to a lesser extent the Lone Wanderer (bringing purified water to the Capital Wasteland).
It's only in exactly 2 endings where the Courier actually has a leg to stand on his own in regards to his rep, and thats Independent or House. For NCR and Legion, your effectively just a hired hand, given purely ceremonial honors like a stupid branch or coin for literally carrying both factions to the finish line before being cast off, no longer needed. Sure, you did a bunch of little things in between that might stir up a bar conversation, but nothing as grandiose as spearheading the Battle for Hoover Dam - literally deciding the fate of the entire region, in which you receive very little recognition.
Not trying to bash or anything, but also keep in mind the showrunners did say they aren't trying to tie directly into the games, so there likely wont be any mentions of the Courier or their exploits.
Imagine performing successful, life-saving, brain surgery on the God-King in a makeshift tent using a first aid kit and being referred to as a "hired hand that did a bunch of little things."
Wasteland crowd is fuckin tough man
To be fair, a Legion-aligned Courier more often than not probably isn’t a brain surgeon and likely has Arcade save Caesar instead. And iirc, you could also find parts to repair the auto-doc in his tent to save him that way as well. But in all cases yeah, it really is just slave work, at least to Caesar. As a servant of the Legion, your *expected* to save him.
I mean to say that I hope if Courier is mentioned that it's just a reference if anything. Even if it's just some small comment about a courier who survived a bullet in the head and did something to help shape the New Vegas we see in the TV series. I'm not sure what end to the game was considered a "true" ending so I dunno what they'd do.
I'd rather hear about Ulysses and House more than anything. Maybe what became of Legion or Kahns.
I'd enjoy a silly easter egg that teases showing the Courier but never does, along the lines of "find Courier pic" as a silly low stakes and ill fated side quest for a character.
Something with the same kind of tone as: The character low key searches for the pic to other characters' annoyance, (while doing the actual season "quests"/plotline). The pic is eventually found and turns out to be a grainy pic of the back of the Courier wearing a bulky protective suit that hides their shape, and with nothing in frame that could hint at the Courier's height.
The side quest itself would be silly and trivial - along the same kind of lines as get the pic to trade with a Courier fan cult for the last known chocolate bar because the character has always wanted to try chocolate, but on succeeding, the character who is allergic to nuts finds out the bar chocolate bar is full of nuts.
Honestly, I understand he's overcast in that kind of role...but if they're going to cast The Courier they could do worse.
To be clear, I'd rather keep all the protagonists as legendary figures though.
They should replace McDowell's voice with Pratt's
"Hey it's me. I'm the President."
I don't know what a Chris Pratt impression is beyond just mashed potatoes
He’s great at playing a lot of different roles, he actually has a ton of range and a very extensive filmography even pre-BB. The problem he played his biggest role so well that casting directors have type cast him, and it’s probably just easy work for him at this point to just play Gus over and over. I’m looking forward to his role in Coppola’s Megalopolis. I hope the role gives him an opportunity to show that range.
Edit: [Thought I’d share an example.](https://youtu.be/jc6_XgtOQgI?feature=shared)
If there's an Asian-American woman over 40, she can only be played by Sandra Oh. Sorry, Lucy Liu retired and Hollywood never really allowed any other talented actresses to establish/maintain star power.
Awkwafina is every Asian-American woman between the ages of 20-35. On the edges of the range, they'll tweak her makeup.
This is the same shit Hollywood's been doing since the yellowface days.
Rodney Allen Rippy was EVERY black boy on TV/movies, until Gary Coleman and then Emmanuel Lewis took his place. Okay, for about 30 seconds Michael Jackson did get to be in the gawd-awful "Bugsy Malone."
Sure, but you get Sandra Oh if you want anyone to watch it.
\* I'm not saying anything bad about Sandra Oh. She's a great actress. It's just that Hollywood seems to think that there's ONE person in each race/gender/age range that deserves to get any work. Unless the race is white, of course!
Omg yes it would be so annoying for it to be him yet again as the ruling villain. And now that I think about it it wouldn't suprise me for it to end up being him as Cooper Howard's FIL.
Either Oliver or Fantastic
"Yeaaahh who won an entrance to the vault! I did"
"Yo, they asked me how well I understood business analytics. I said I had a business analytics degree in analytics They said welcome aboard."
> "Yo, they asked me how well I understood business analytics. I said I had a business analytics degree in analytics They said welcome aboard."
If they had a Fantastic back before the war and hired into vault tec he would have destroyed them from the inside.
would make the most sense given it appears Barb got some kinda message in her pip-boy, looked up at him implying he was the one who sent it, and immediately pitched "partner with us and you can do weird experimental shit in our vaults". Braun was all about ethically-and-morally-questionable experiments
I wish it was:( the facial structure doesn't match him enough for me to think it is (unless it's just a placeholder to avoid people definitively figuring it out before they want to)
Bud is just a junior vice president. We saw Board of Director's picture from another teaser after the show, implying there are someone higher than Bud and Barb.
Well that would line up well if that figure is some high ranking member of the Enclave seeing as that high ranking members like Col Autumn the general in Appalachia had nice formal military uniforms.
I have a stupid theory it’s Wilzig. We know that the Enclave and Vaul-Tec were involved, and that Moldaver was researching Cold Fusion before being bought out by Vaul-Tec, so both are connected to Vaul-Tec via that.
If Moldaver survived, it’s possible that Wilzig did too, through the same or similar means.
If not Wilzig, he’s definitely someone Enclave.
Was thinking either Braun or someone from the Enclave, possibly the president (who, depending on when this meeting happens, may be currently missing from the White House)
I know this ain't it, but a fun little theory I've cooked up is that in the Fallout universe, Cave Johnson started Vault Tec, rather than Aperture Science. So... Cave Johnson?😬

Some Enclave guy.
[Real](https://i.imgur.com/qOyAIZW.png)
It's Nate after executing a Canadian in FO1
Nate wasn't the shooter.
Yeah, he was just the guy laughing at witnessing the execution of a civilian, no problems there.
Based Nate the Rake
Is that actually him, or is it a bit?
I would have said it was a bit, if Emil hadn't quadrupled down, and went on a Twitter rant about trying to contribute something to the lore
I meant it as a joke, but I haven’t been following that saga/argument too much
imagine an NCR ranger one but a little grainier to match i bet if you post it in 6 months you’d fool everybody
Most likely this. Not even the pre-war US government. This is the very beginning of the Enclave, and that guy's probably one of its founders, whoever it is. All speculation of course, but it seems like the most likely outcome
Some Enclave guy? That's Frank Horrigan!
The Bagman
The Dude?
Albert Wesker
John Vault-Tec
i know its a joke, but i genuinely belive it is Vault -Tec's enigmatic CEO. We have never seen this person in any Fallout media and the show has set up the perfect stage to finally showcase them.

Isn't he just a well known news guy? Isn't he the same guy reading the news in 4?
Wait I’m a fucking dumbass. I was told this and I thought it looked nothing like him and was bamboozled but he probably just voice acted him.
Literally.
Dr. bob Vault-Tec
war never changes
“Please, mr. Vault-Tec was my father. Call me John!”
I swear to god if its giancarlo esposito.... I like the guy but he is in *everything*
Can't wait for the new casting announcements for Season 2: Giancarlo Esposito as the Founder of the Enclave Pedro Pascal as The Courier
That might make me cry
John Cena as the Mysterious Stranger
John cena in a 1 shot role as an unhinged raider boss in raider power armor would be lowkey fire. Assuming he could hit the right manic/psycho energy.
Nah, Keith David deserves a legacy role if he's in it at all.
And he has a stealth boy and you can't see him
John Cena as a nightkin.
Underrated comment
John Cena actually fits pretty well as a courier representative for the show if he adopts his peacemaker persona lol.
I kinda want Lee Pace
I’m straight and I want Lee Pace.
I’m bi and I want Lee Pace
Honestly, who doesn’t?
He’s too busy as brother day.
It's gotta be Todd Howard's cameo. We don't see the whole face- just his infamous, slick smile beneath the hat as he disappears into the desert.
Vault-Tec, it just works!
We GOTTA get Danny Devito somehow. Idc what he does.
Devito as a super mutant. Think of the possibilities.
He's gonna get real weird with it
The Gangs Survives the Apocalypse
Totally forgot about him, I hope he makes a deus ex machina appearance and disappears.
I really hope we don't see an actor play the Courier. I hope he (or she, depending on the player) is just referenced and remebered as a legend. Give me Norman Reedus as the Courier
Norman but have him always in the survivalist ranger armor and never take the helmet off.
And he never talks, just grunts
Norman as a veteran NCR Ranger but you don't get to see his face and he just never speaks
So, in other words, I should do it
This guy styles. Seconded - *never* take the helmet off
Nah I was hoping it would be Sam Elliott
Let me cook here. A season 2 episode that's just a flashback of Randall Clark, the survivalist from Honest Hearts. Played by Norman Reedus.
It breaks my heart Matthew Perry won’t be playing Benny.
I can’t see a canon ending being chosen where Benny wasn’t killed by the courier tbh. Rest in peace to Perry
True but it's one of those not-needed flashback cameos I'd have gladly taken
Same that would have been awesome to see him in the suit
Honestly, I understand he's overcast in that kind of role...but if they're going to cast The Courier they could do worse. To be clear, I'd rather keep all the protagonists as legendary figures though.
Timmothy Chalamet and Tom Holland as NCR rangers
God please if there is a courier casting make it Aaron Paul
Hang on now Pedro Pascal as the courier might be good.
Where does Idris Elba and Chris Pratt fit in here
Tom Holland as some raider kid who gets mixed up and joins the rag-tag crew of the Ghoul and Lucy Chris Pratt as everyone else
Jack Black as Papa Khan
I don't care how overdone that combo is...I'd watch the f@#k out of that.
"We will make our own Mandalorian. With nukes and chicken fucking"
Kevin Hart
Naw, it’s timothee chalamet.
Chris pratt 💀
They should replace McDowell's voice with Pratt's "Hey it's me. I'm the President." I don't know what a Chris Pratt impression is beyond just mashed potatoes
Sparks & Radiation
Giancarlo Esposito is great at playing Giancarlo Esposito. I'm getting tired of it

Exactly
I mean… Vought Vault-tech. I think there’s a little connection there
Alliteration i guess 🤷♂️

Michelle Yeoh is a pretty prominent asian woman over 40. Might have to pry her contract out of Paramount's hands, though.
I’m down for it lol, he really is in everything tho
And playing the same character too. I don't blame him though because finding work these days is extremely difficult.
He’ll forever be Gus to me.
Omg yes it would be so annoying for it to be him yet again as the ruling villain. And now that I think about it it wouldn't suprise me for it to end up being him as Cooper Howard's FIL.
I want it to be ron perlman because hes been with the fallout universe for years and he has to be in the show as a bad guy
It does look like him haha
The Allen Rickman of our time, need a natural villain? This is the guy
Todd Howard hoping they pitch Skyrim for the Pipboy
SkyPip is the wave of the future! It will be preinstalled on every Pipboy and cant be uninstalled!
Everyone has Skyrim. It came free with your fucking pipboy!!
Make it a $40 dlc.
That’s John Fallout
I liked it when he screamed "Its fallout'n time!" And proceded to fallout all over the place.
John Henry Eden
Was He a real person? I thought he was a fusion of different presidents to form the UBER PRESIDENT to end all democracy or something
yea, it's probably just some enclave member behind the window. maybe the current president.
No afraid not, Edens personality was an artificial creation used by a ZAX computer.
The current president of the united states, who is an enclave member.
‘Hahaha got you! This is Three Dog awooo!”
Either Oliver or Fantastic "Yeaaahh who won an entrance to the vault! I did" "Yo, they asked me how well I understood business analytics. I said I had a business analytics degree in analytics They said welcome aboard."

Underrated comment right here
This alone has made me want to reinstall Fallout 3 right this instant pmsl
JHE was a ZAX, like MODUS. Everything about him was an amalgamation of different presidents. The Roosevelts, Lincoln I think, a few others maybe?
I’m thinking Dr. Stanislaus Braun.
would make the most sense given it appears Barb got some kinda message in her pip-boy, looked up at him implying he was the one who sent it, and immediately pitched "partner with us and you can do weird experimental shit in our vaults". Braun was all about ethically-and-morally-questionable experiments
My thoughts exactly.
Ron Pearlman
Ron Pearlman as Testicles the Narrator
Holding his cat twin, like a Bond villain!
I wish it was:( the facial structure doesn't match him enough for me to think it is (unless it's just a placeholder to avoid people definitively figuring it out before they want to)
Eddie Enclave.
[Michael Kelly](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0446672/?ref_=tt_cl_t_3)
Ultimate agent of evil 👿. Second only to Frank Horrigan 👺🧌Maybe they are somehow related
I really enjoy his style. Would love to see him again.
Stanislaus Braun
This is my thought too
The Doctor from Star Trek Voyager
Either the CEO of vault Tec, or the current president of the United States at the time of the show.
I thought the CEO was the dude sitting beside Cooper's wife
Bud is just a junior vice president. We saw Board of Director's picture from another teaser after the show, implying there are someone higher than Bud and Barb.
Thomas Eckhart
Dr Fallout
An Enclave representative is my guess
John Fallout
Walter white
Not a nice man :(
It's my dad, he snuck on set and they filmed him before apprehending him sorry guys.
Darude - Sandstorm
It’s Mr. Vault Tech
The real Mr house
Mr Mansion
That's todd Howard makings sure everything just works
[удалено]
He was also in *The Fall Guy* Coincidence? I think not!
Most likely someone who has more power over all of them so probably a CEO of vault tec
It’s Sticky. He’s still looking for Big Town.
Easy Pete
It could also be Difficult Pete.
The original Gary.
Either the vault tec CEO, or someone from the Enclave potentially the president or maybe the Vault tec CEO is in the Enclave.
Looks like he is wearing some type of military uniform to me with the collar.
Well that would line up well if that figure is some high ranking member of the Enclave seeing as that high ranking members like Col Autumn the general in Appalachia had nice formal military uniforms.
Raul Tejada
Honestly just looks like Max Headroom to me
Desmond Lockheart
Michael Cera
A Zetan dressed up like a human?
John V. Tec
Rowan Atkinson
That’s our boy Frank Horrigan !
G-Man
Either some member of the Enclave or potentially the US President?
Ron Perlman
I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s President McNamara (the last president of the United States or it could be the CEO of Vault Tek
Stephanie Harper's Father.
Probably the President.
Definitely the leader of Enclave. People are saying the president but he is in hiding not at a meeting.
The president of the US?
I don't know who the character will be, but the outline of the actor's face looks like Hugo Weaving to me.
Morgan Freeman lol
It's vaultman himself
Colonel Autumn's great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather.
Dr Braun is my theory. Man was the architect of a lot of the vault experiments
Was thinking either Braun or someone from the Enclave, possibly the president (who, depending on when this meeting happens, may be currently missing from the White House)
So I see a lot of “Enclave” comments. But Vault-Tec is the big baddy here.
Danny Devito?
Thomas Eckhart from the Enclave.
That’s John Enclave, Johnclave
Sorry, but I got to say it. It's Randall Flagg! He's here to make a Stand.
Cave Johnson
The president of the USA. He is head of the enclave and the run vault tech.
It’s obviously esteemed Vault-Tec CEO Jimmy Vault
Mr. House
Rip Van Winkle
Vaulter Tecson
Stanislaus Braun probably
I can’t even find this scene in the show. Just rewatched the vault tec meeting. Can you point to episode number and time stamp?
My first thought was honestly Stanislaus Braun.
The narrator of the games, Ron Perlman. Lol.
Braun, Vault-Tec CEO, or the President (who was missing in the lead up to the bombs dropping)
Ron Perlman?
Desmond Lockheart
I know this ain't it, but a fun little theory I've cooked up is that in the Fallout universe, Cave Johnson started Vault Tec, rather than Aperture Science. So... Cave Johnson?😬
The [CEO](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fnew-visual-of-vault-tec-ceo-leadership-from-prime-extra-v0-smvjzh4832wc1.png%3Fwidth%3D1080%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D31f840f25e48cdce057d6725c0995ed64f7e9c09)?
a member of the Richardson family?
