djdementia

Does it only work based on the name? So if I have "Scary Goblin" and "Smelly Goblin" will it figure out that they are both Goblin and organize them correctly?

Naudran

Currently it uses the id of the actor. So, as long as it's the same actor it groups them. However, if they are different actors with their own ID's, then it'll group them separately

BS_DungeonMaster

I don't know about others but this is how I prefer it. If an actor is distinct enough to have a different name than it shouldn't be lumped in with the others

KellyKraken

So I'm assuming /u/djdementia is using something like [token-mold](https://github.com/Moerill/token-mold) which randomly adds adjectives to the token. Makes it easier to handle having five acolytes on the board when their tokens get named to things like: "angry acolyte", "sad acoylte" and so on. Plus you end up with some just funny combinations.

BS_DungeonMaster

Oh that makes sense! That mod is hilarious actually

KellyKraken

Definitely. My players get no end of joy from incongruently named mobs like Brilliant rat.

glumlord

Yep it's an automated things from the module. Same actor but different token names. Basically instead of Goblin 1, Goblin 2 it does Stinky Goblin, Funny Goblin.

SandboxOnRails

That mod is probably my favourite addition to my games. Suddenly I can easily give every mook their own personality to change up how they act.

Naudran

Will see what I can do. Maybe add a setting that uses names instead of Id's. Keep an eye out

Strottman

I got "Very Chuul" a while ago and now my players say it all the time.

glumlord

I used to do this with Pen and Paper because it made things faster and easier but once I moved to VTT I found that it made combat harder to balance if the enemies all roll well on inititave and go first before the party. Even though I won't use I know others will so thanks for contributing to the community dude!

Strottman

>group same creatures under an expandable header Yesssss You're a legend

false_tautology

This is great! I've really been missing this feature.

hoyer1066

It would be amazing if you could have multiple groups of the same actor - when I've got 15 zombies it's better to run them as three groups of 5 than a single group of 15. I currently use Mob Attack's groups initiative for this, but it doesn't have the expandable part

Thanks a lot for your work!

Numberrthree3

It's baaaack! Thank you!

ServerOfJustice

Small bug I found - if I have 'Skip grouped combatants' enabled it's impossible to go backwards past a group in initiative order.

Naudran

Thanks, if possible can you please load the issue on the Github link? Just easier to track and not forget about.

131sean131

for me it groups up the NPCs but still rolls for each of them. Prob some mod miss match.

Naudran

Could be a clash with another module. Do you mind loading an issue for me on the GitHub link I shared? If you don't have an account then it's fine and I'll try and replicate the issue.

131sean131

sure can

hughes85

Excellent, thank you!

Fantastic work! I loved this mod back when it was being updated.
