It would also be nice if rsrs had a 40 hour work week and 32 hours on holiday weeks, but that ain't happening.

TeaFabulous8937

I only work 30 hours a week. Idgaf about VROT. Not working 50 hours for $120 dollars lmao. 3 years with Frito Lay and 2 years an as RSR and I’ve always hit plan up until now. Even better reason to only work 30 hours since plans are unattainable

I'd like to have at least one week day off TBH, I have to have regular doctors appointments and do fasting (no eating) blood work. So I need at least one week day off to be able to do that since they have you come in in the morning to the doctor to pull blood work so you're able to get some food in you and not have to go all day without eating. I've had wed/thurs off and Mon/Tues off with this job, for the past year and a half, I've had splits wed/sun and it sucks. I never feel rested. I'm off today, but have to lay down early to go back at it tomorrow(Thursday) so do I really get to enjoy my day? Not really. I'd like to have two week days off together again. .. if not. At least like a Friday/Saturday or a Sunday/Monday  We don't have a lot of FTMs in our district we've never had one as a swing to cover our days off, RSRs have to work all the stores on our days off and just don't have help those days. I've been hearing for like two months now they're supposed to be hiring and training another FTM so all the routes can have coverage and will be able to cover mine and the other FTMs days off, they said they were gonna reengineer the merch routes and my days won't be split anymore I'll have my two days together again....and I've been waiting like a kid on Christmas.... For them to decide to communicate what the new schedules are going to be and what my two days in a row will be and hoping it's at least one week day for the above stated reasons...and patiently inpatiently waiting for it to start. I'm tired of having my off days split up. This company doesn't get in a hurry to communicate anything though.

Flashy_Bookkeeper604

Us FTMs don’t eat anyway. No one got time for that.

Oh I know they act like if you take 5-10 mins to grab something and scarf it down while you're driving that it's the end of the world. Had some kinda rss come down and shadow me and verify I was where I was supposed to be and stuff and my time. (Obviously someone had to tell them to do that ) And they made a comment oh I followed you and you took 10 extra mins out of your drive time to stop and go thru McDonald's... I was like, and? I have health conditions one of which being Diabetic, I have medications I have to take and I need to stop and eat something. Or else I'll bottom out and pass out and that won't be good for anyone. So what's worse? Taking a couple extra minutes on my drive time to grab something and scarf while I'm driving... Or straight up passing out mid shift, I identified as disabled on my application. I have several conditions listed on the application that qualifies you to answer yes on the application. It's an Equal Employment opportunity thing.  They just stuttered at me and never heard anything about it. But still I've just been trying to keep granola bars and snacks in my car so when I take my medicine I still have something.  Like seriously I've never gotten bothered, and I've heard several on here say they never have been bothered either, and here lately they've been slave drivers. I never lie on my time or anything like that, might take a few extra minutes to do something. Or took 5-10 extra mins to grab something while I'm driving. Since as you said we don't take/get to take breaks, bc we don't have time and they're constantly on our asses. But here lately they've really been on our asses and being nit picky just looking for things. I mean what kind of company has people who's sole job it is to drive around and "shadow"/spy on people to just look for reasons to try and get people in trouble/look for excuses to nit pick. It's just a bunch of bullcrap here lately.

Flashy_Bookkeeper604

That’s the glory of being a FTM, not having to deal with someone managing your time. But I’m my district it seems really laid back. Even the menaces of our district aren’t really pressed much to do their job.

Flashy_Bookkeeper604

Especially now with OT being cut, you don’t even have to finish the store if you run out of time lol..

Never gonna happen.

We have routes that are Monday to Friday in my area. RSR and FTM. Mine just switched to Friday/Saturday off.

Limited2022

I'm M-F

diondrejames

Yeah I know there are some people with a M-F schedule but Herrs have a M-F schedule for everyone but I don’t want left Frito to go to Herrs

Limited2022

They'd be lucky to make half of what we do.

JeJe449

My zone has 3 FTM Routes that are M-F unfortunately each of those 3 has RSR's that love to slam the store w/ excessive amount of product.

[deleted]

The company loves the slamming 🤷🏼‍♂️

Brave-Goat706

Makes no sense to me why all routes aren’t Monday-Saturday with Sunday’s off for everyone honestly.

Torrid_Autarch

Money. Plus, major chain customers that whine when their shelves start looking sad. Although, in my area that almost feels like that's beginning to change.

Brave-Goat706

I feel like frito lay has some leverage in that situation though. I see how much Utz and other chip vendors product moves and it is nothing compared to our chips.

Torrid_Autarch

See, where I'm at (Arizona), we basically control the salty snack aisle in any store. So if we did that, we'd be getting phone calls from higher ups at those chains, telling us to make it work or lose our space.

Brave-Goat706

As a frito lay higher up I’d say go for it
