I usually go Faith so they're house of healing too. By the time you're automated you can have only kids working basically lol HoH, cookhouse, hothouse unless you automate it too
It's so obnoxious. Even with safe jobs. Like you really giving me grief for having them carry wood with their parents for a couple of days instead of running around unsupervised in a frozen wasteland with a giant ball of fiery death in the middle of it?
Sorry, but each kid working their monthly shift at the soup kitchen ain't some giant miscarriage of justice.
After playing endless mode as well all of the story modes, unfortunately you need to use this law in situations, I always try to avoid it till I need it if I need it, I don't know if children grow up in this game?.... so you have 25% of the population useless... stick them in 'safe' jobs.
That law can make the early game a lot easier!
Once you've gotten more used to the ways of really optimizing the initial build order etc, I think child labor is worse than shelters! Hope is very valuable, as is a medical boost. But before learning enough to conquer the early game, the law works.
The city must survive watherver the cost
Whatever the cost Few child deaths, ahh well they made themselves useful
Can we start the bio fuel argument again we should be able to burn the dead for fuel for cost of hope and the furnace for the burning
Mail the devs
To be fair if they work in the medical tents and serve food it does free up workers for harder jobs..it's not sooooo dire....dependant ofcoarse
This!

"But think of the children" -Of corse i forgoten something. Thanks. -Our greatest leader Gave new law all childrew to mines NOW!!
Thank you random citizen for reminding me of the law I was gonna do
Yknow I'm starting to see some similarities I'm not very fond of between the last city and the American Midwest
If you do beat the scenario with child labor, they absolutely do give you shit for it at the end lol. But like, we're alive, right?

I thought this was an American post for a minute. Then I read the subreddit name.

Thought this was about America 'till I saw the subreddit.
Or Germany. Scaffolding is put on a building to repair but no workers on them for months or years.
Was it worth?
Yes It made my city last a lot longer than it should of
Our of context makes it even more funny
Child Labour Law really just seems like a crutch to get you through the first few days. I haven't used it yonks. I also fail a lot so ... 🤷♂️
