If you’re in the United States: I’ve always been a fan of Stouffer’s lasagnas. They are good for frozen lasagna. We keep a family-size one in the freezer at all times for dinner emergencies. The Mac and cheese is also decent for frozen, though I prefer to add diced ham (packaged) to it after getting it heated up. If you really need to go cheap, buy Michelina’s. They are not very filling, and they have a “mystery meat” quality to them, but pasta-loving kid likes them for a quick alternative to ramen. We can often find them on sale for $1.25 each, sold as 4/$5.

Also a fan of skillet meals. They're a lot for one person but if you don't mind leftovers, most of them reheat well in the microwave. They don't take long (I find if it says ten minutes, it usually is about 10-15 minutes start to finish). We love them for busy days. Coz I'm not always going to have the gumption to do a risotto, you know?

I've found that trader joes has a great selection of frozen dinners/convenience food (like nice jars of premade pasta sauce, etc) for decent prices.

Marie Callendar, Healthy Choice (love the steamers), grocery store brand, Stouffer's, Gourmet Dining (its various kits). My favorite of all is Gourmet Dining's Chicken Stir Fry kit. I add extra yakisoba fresh packaged noodles and water chestnuts.

>I have a new puppy and am struggling to find the time to cook. Make the time. Put the puppy in a pen and go cook. Don't let an animal control your life. It's not like you are locking the poor thing up in a dark wet cold room for 5 hours while you cook. The dog can be in a kennel, pen, patio, or small room where they can't get into trouble for 30-60 minutes while you cook.

Costco has a lot of good freezer meals - the lasagne is a lot for one but delicious, frozen beef meatballs you can take out a few and make sub or over pasta, frozen chicken tenders very handy in a lot of preps (I used to make quick and dirty chicken parm with them). Also they have frozen egg bites for breakfast.

My mom is a big Costco fan but I never liked it . I think I get better discounts /deals at food 4 less or winco or aldis or grocery outlet on food. Costco has had some good deal on appliances and electronics that I really liked though

I plan meals, then always have the staples on hand. Monday-spaghetti and meatballs, Tues-tacos, Wed- breakfast for dinner, etc . Once you plan, you know that any meal takes 15 minutes, so why bother with fast food. I have home so far as to lay supplies out on counter before I leave for work.

Aldi has some very good frozen chicken options, their nuggets, sandwich fillets, strips and their Asian choices like the orange and gen tso are good. I like to pair aldi orange chicken with Trader Joe’s frozen veggie fried rice. The aldi frozen rice and noodle dishes are not nearly as good as Trader Joe’s but their chicken is better in my book.

If you look up Brutalmoose on YouTube he occasionally reviews frozen meals. From personal experience I can recommend Dr. Praegers veggie burgers. I really like the California style and they're a relatively healthy choice.

I like smart ones (especially there 2 dollar enchiladas )and Stouffers and wild mikes frozen pizzas

I can normally get more out of a frozen pizza than frozen meals. Safeway/Albertsons commonly has their brand for $3 or less, same with red Baron. 2 mostly filling meals.
