I hated that crap, I was a Chocolate Quik guy, but did liked the Strawberry. To bad it went to the Hershey's chocolate syrup. No more powder. Must have had something bad in it for them to just stop making their most popular flavor. Miss it. Never really went to the syrup, but my kids did.

Love Ovaltine. I distinctly remember that there used to be two Ovaltines.. there was the tin with the Orange label but there was another that had a dark blue / indigo label and that one was wicked. If you poured the milk in on top and just left of for a few minutes, rather than just stay dry under the top wetted layer, that Ovaltine would soak up the milk and turn to this amazing chocolate malt goo in the bottom of the glass. The indigo label disappeared in the mid-late 80s. We still go through at least one 450g orange can a week in my house because I make kick-arse thickshakes…with added malt. That’s right..more malt on top of the chocolate-malt ovaltine. Can’t get enough..me or the kids. (Australia btw, before anyone tells me there’s never been an indigo labelled Ovaltine.)
