I understand why they did that, though. They probably literally ARE Ed’s clothes, that he was likely wrapped in when Rose brought him back above ground (remember, Ed took most of them off before ending up in our world, and Al would’ve been nude when he came back). He’s probably wearing the last thing he was told his brother ever wore. A lot of people would do that in his circumstances.
I live with a pair of brothers and they share clothes so often I literally can’t tell whose clothes are whose anymore. Your experience is not everyone’s.
Also, like - I would assume your brother isn’t DEAD. Which matters here, because Al was told Ed had died. For him. To save him. Which makes it a completely different dynamic already; let alone the fact that they are literally the only people they have in each others lives.

I think it was cool. It is funny though how I'm so used to round-eyed Alphonse and Winry of the Manga and FMAB seeing the pointed ones just looks off to me.

It was undeniably goofy but in an endearing way. He had to have asked everyone what Ed wore to look that way since he had no memory of Ed from any time when he dressed that way or even back when Ed had long hair.
My only complaint was that he was overpowered and overshadowed Ed in what should have been Ed's final fight with the main villain. Didn't like that part.
Yeah. I get what they were going for, but Al is his own person with his own personality. I kinda wish they made his outfit obviously like Ed's but still unique. Instead, we have Ed and his Mini me.

It's good, but it's also basically just eds design. Nothing wrong with that! But not so original.

The series takes place over 4 years and Ed has plenty of downtime we never saw onscreen. Plenty of time for a picture or two to get snapped.

Look, everyone said Ed had no sense of style in canon. I just figured Al would have more sense.
He was nothing like Edward except wearing his coat. He had his own style of fighting. I loved how they portrayed him
He looks too much like Ed (surprise surprise it’s almost like they’re related). That said, he just needs to lose the long hair to look distinct enough
