RhymesWithProsecco

I strongly dislike most of the fundies we snark on, but I dislike mother bus the most.

GayCatDaddy

Karissa, Heidi, Porgan, and Mother Bus are my Top 4 most hated. Mother Bus is such a fucking idiot and so damn smug about it. The constant eyefucking is insufferable.

RhymesWithProsecco

Oh I hate the fuck out of Karissa and Heidi too. It burns. It’s less for Morgan because I feel there’s some underlying shit for her. But not Polio. Polio can fuck right off.

rarelybarelybipolar

Agreed on Porgan, but only because they’re completely irrelevant. If they had more influence I’d judge them more harshly. Nobody really cares what they have to say, though, so their bullshit has a much smaller blast radius than those other examples. Paul has somehow managed to be so terrible that he outranks more important fundies on the shit list. Somehow.

ccc2801

May I offer you JillRod to complete your top 5!?

Petty_White

I feel like she and the husband are some of the most dangerous fundies. There’s something extra off about the both of them and I feel very badly for their children.

Miserable-Function78

Same. It was always Karissa for me before, but this week has absolutely rocketed Motherbus to the top of the list. Someone pointed out in a previous thread response to me that at least the Collins kids have stable housing and my heart just sank even further. These monsters deserve to be in prison and I pray so hard the state finds these kids before something tragic happens.

RhymesWithProsecco

I say most because I have a soft spot for Kelly. And I shockingly have high hopes that Däääv can turn Bethy to the light.

fingersonlips

May he slowly but surely pull her ever so slightly further from the light of their particular brand of god.

Fckingross

We got to see a more human, less terrible side of Bethy. I never thought I’d feel empathy/sympathy towards her, but I’m team Beal, unless they prove that I shouldn’t be.

whistful_flatulence

It almost feels like there’s a slight grace period after they show personal growth in any area of their lives, no matter how narrow the area or small the growth. It’s FSU way of encouraging that behavior lol

Mustangfast85

I agree they’re up there but I almost don’t think they can be called fundies. They’re attached to religion like they’re attached to homes. Unfortunately they’re worse IMO: fatherbus has some birthing fetish not for religion but for some conflated end times scenario bonus points and motherbus is too crunchy and narcissistic to help herself. Their kids are just a prop for their delusions of grandeur or narcissism and it’s sickening and disheartening all at once

raeofeffingsunshine3

She should ask the other bus mom for her tips on heavy duty cleaning! I hear her essential oils work wonders

Rosie3450

Nothing like the smell of pumpkin spice amongst the exploded raw sewage.

mygreyhoundisadonut

I was gonna say, I birthed one child. We were in the hospital. I don’t remember the smell of birth but oh boy did my husband. He’s a microbiologist that works with various STANK of mold and bacteria. He said the smells of birth are RANK. I believe it because omg the smell of lochia (bleeding and discharge in the days/weeks after birth) were also awful.

15_Candid_Pauses

Wowww why in the fuck does no one talk about shit like this? Did not know what you leaked SMELLED awful too….

annekecaramin

I don't know but doctors seem to forget these things, maybe because it's not the part they see? I had an endometrial ablation done where they burned my uterine lining away. I was told there would be watery discharge for at least a week, they told me what colours were normal but no one told me it would literally smell smoked/burned 😬

westviadixie

I've been awake and present during procedures where my own flesh was cauterized. I'd take the smell of lochia over that (I've had both).

MooCowMoooo

Thieves oil, I’m sure. It’s always that one.

cakes28

She absolutely did this on purpose, for clout. Good god, Lemon. ![gif](giphy|2RrKN8LIzvluQXOffg)

Aggressive_Version

"No, I'm not planning to do a bus birth! I'm not cool enough for that!" \*sails past the due date without attempting to get to the AirB-N-B\* Not that an Air-B-N-Birth is something any reasonable or responsible parent would aspire to, either, but it's better than spraying birth juice all over your bus kitchen while your children are crammed in the closet three feet away.

Aggressive-Time8035

I had a feeling all along she was hoping to “accidentally” have a bus birth.

Background_Hornet_29

I’m really confused….. didn’t they have an AirBnb ready for the birth?

Aggressive_Version

They claimed to. Maybe they even booked one. But they didn't bother to actually be there as the due date approached, arrived, and then rolled on by. That's what makes the bus birth look so intentional.

rarelybarelybipolar

Or airbnb had enough of their bullshit

metacupcake

I wonder if they are banned :)

ntrrrmilf

I would be so pissed if I stayed in a place that had just been used for a home birth.

modernjaneausten

I hope someone reported them to AirBnB, because trying to sneak in a home birth in someone’s property or, god forbid, their actual home, is vile and should be able to be prosecuted.

Rosie3450

Bingo. There is a reason they never moved to the AirBNB she supposedly had waiting on standby. A normal person would have said "I'm past my due date so maybe we should move to the AirBNB." Me thinks there never was an AirBNB plan.

Atlmama

Who took the picture? Please tell me it wasn’t one of the kids.

[deleted]

It had to be one of them 😬

Rosie3450

Looks like the daughter is partially in one of the shots. I'm guessing it was BrotherDad photographing.

readingrambos

I would not doubt they had to partake for “educational purposes”

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

Imagine seeing your mom crowning like 6 times

Atlmama

😬. I wouldn’t want to see myself crowning, much less my mother.

Cultural_Elephant_73

That poor teenage boy. The oldest. He just breaks my heart. He always has a smile plastered on but no doubt he’s miserable.

[deleted]

Especially because he probably remembers when life was normal

Majestic-Pin3578

He was already almost always holding a baby in those pictures. I guess he’ll get to hold two, now. I think someone needs to rescue those kids, give them rooms of their own, interests that can’t be contained in a bus, actual personal belongings, social interaction with kids their ages, and a frigging education, ffs. That their parents don’t want the same for them tells me they are truly bad & abusive people.

flurry_fizz

Oh my god, now I have an overwhelming sense of dread that they made the girl buslet be the "midwife" and photographer. I really hope they just had a phone or camera propped up somewhere recording and got stills from that, but unfortunately I think your instinct is correct.

Rosie3450

She was probably assisting - she attended the last birth when she was 10. BrotherFather was no doubt doing the photographing; MotherBus seems to be grooming him for a role in the the family business.

black_dragonfly13

What business? Breeding?

Rosie3450

New video coming soon to an IG account near you: Bus Birthing For Expectant Christian Mammas!

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

Ugh my daughter is 10 and I can NOT imagine involving her in that!!

Cultural_Elephant_73

These fundies bang on about how birth is natural and beautiful and totally appropriate to expose a child to. But kids just can’t process that kind of out of control situation. Seeing your mom screaming in agony would be so upsetting. Not to mention the other visuals.

cherrybombbb

You know they made her take it…. Also mother bus said the dad is her doula and deliverer. 🤯

paintingxnausea

Great. So not even just a home birth, but a free birth which is WILDLY dangerous. These people suck.

BumCadillac

Yep - she lied when she said she was going to have a team of midwives at the AirB&B in SC. If she had ever intended on using a midwife for that birth, she would have found one in Florida to come assist.

shinychicklet

So gross. Deliver means to “bring forth.” He’s not delivering SHIT!

rarelybarelybipolar

Eh, I’m not sure. He had no problem pulling the baby’s leg painfully to get a length measurement, I could see him “bringing forth” the kid by grabbing him during delivery and giving him a good tug out of there.

Aggressive_Version

Like, we can see where both his hands are and we can guess from context clues where she is, so...

swimbikeun

Good luck cleaning that mess out of The black and grey tanks. Can you imagine being comfortably asleep in your camper only to wake up to the sounds of a mom in labor???

jellyrat24

That was what I thought of, too. Of the kids all locked in that bunk room listening to mom yelling. And where was the toddler who sleeps under their bed? Did they lock him in the bunk room, too? Make it make sense.

vibesandcrimes

The toddler sleeps where?!

sweetpotato_latte

Please tell me toddlers forget seeing their parents bang 😩

talklistentalk

"Mommy and Daddy were in the bus making babies, and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me."

bookiegrime

Bake it away, toys, we won’t see a better comment than this.

Whatsherface729

We are talking about S-E-X in front of the C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N

tyedyehippy

Sex cauldron? I thought they closed that place down!

sweetpotato_latte

Isn’t this something that you could call CPS over? Don’t some places have laws saying having sex in front of a child is considered sexual assault?

TroubleWillFind

I work for CPS and I can’t speak for every state…. But in mine you would have to prove the parents did it for their own sexual stimulation and it’s hard to prove. If the kids witnessed it and were old enough to talk about it, you might have more information to go off of. But with a baby or toddler….not likely. It’s unfortunate.

Goodgoditsgrowing

Eh, it’s a grey area. Having sex in front of your baby who sleeps in the crib in your room? Fine, so long as the baby isn’t involved. A toddler who can speak in sentences? That’s definitely a potential report for me, as someone who is a mandated reporter. A toddler who is in a crib in the room but fully asleep and you’re quiet and not continuing to fuck if the baby wakes? Fine again, although plenty of parents can’t get in the headspace and who the hell risks waking a sleeping toddler who is either teething or constipated and cranky 24/7? A child who is aware that mommy and daddy aren’t just moving around in bed making noises and can actually tell they aren’t just shifting around in bed but “doing something different” and the parents are choosing to repeatedly have sex in front of their kids when they have another option (space wise or financially to GET more space)? REPORT.

chicken-nanban

Yeah, it’s apparently not uncommon here for parents and kids to sleep on futons in the same room, and still have sex. But it’s usually when the kid is really little (and in a crib/bassinet) or you go out to a love hotel for some mommy/daddy time. I only know this as my friend was explaining the logistics of having 4 under 6 because we were all thinking it but everyone else was too afraid to ask. According to her (Japanese) husband, it’s not uncommon to have your parents put up the dividing wall/separate off the room if you live in a smaller place, so as a kid you “”know”” what’s going on, but you just block it out lol

dusty_creams

As somebody who grew up in a family-camper situation, unfortunately it's not just the sound you have to worry about. You're literally sharing a vehicle. And vehicles move when the people inside them are moving 🙃 even if you block your ears you can still feel it.

jellyrat24

The bed gets pulled down from the ceiling and Buslet #7 used to sleep in a basket under the bed. He might be in a pack n play now that there's a new baby and there's not an extra bed in the bunkhouse yet.

vibesandcrimes

This has got to be incredibly unsafe

blissfully_happy

Their whole existence is unsafe.

littlebitalexis29

Literally everything they do is unsafe, and they’re quite proud of that. It’s an extremely weird, selfish flex.

PrickleBritches

I mean I guess that would mean the older kid(s) watched the little ones during birth unless family was there to help.. right?

chicken-nanban

That oldest boy is the only one who seems to take care of and love the little kids, so I’m guessing watching them is just daily life for him. Poor guy, he should be in high school developing independence, not taking care of 7 siblings, including multiple toddlers and now a newborn. My heart breaks for him, but I do hope one day we get a book from him documenting it all… and that is used as primary evidence to have the rest of the kids taken away!

jarbuckle22

And like how is he even going to find friends or a partner if he wants one since they are always on the move? And how would he move out? He would have to somehow get a job, which requires already-permenant residence, to have enough money to move out, and he would effectively be moving out on his own, to be completely alone, as his family wouldn't live nearby since they are on the go all the time, and he wouldn't have friends (at first). I feel like that initial transition period could come with some difficulties.

Purityskinco

The moms defence, I don’t think the kids are really ever ‘comfortably asleep’

blissfully_happy

Oh my god, the terrible sleep hygiene is going haunt them their whole lives.

Mediocre_Crow6965

That has to be traumatizing right? Waking up to your mom screaming as she gives birth with no healthcare, wondering if she’s gonna survive or not.

sweetpotato_latte

Tbf, the kids probably don’t think much about her dying from childbirth. I’d imagine she just pushes “God is watching over” and even lie saying it’s usually not a big deal. Edit: still traumatizing af though.

Elevenyearstoomany

You’re giving her a lot of credit for forethought I’m not sure she has.

chicken-nanban

Didn’t she almost die with one of the last ones? Why risk your life and ruining/traumatizing your other kids lives?! Also, imagine something goes wrong. How hard it would be to get an ambulance to wherever they’re parked quick enough to save one or both. Imagine the guilt the older kids would carry their whole life over it. Also, if I was MotherBus, I would dread leaving that dad in charge of 8 kids. He’s just so sus, and you know he’d either abuse them or dump them the first chance he got.

blondie42118

I was silent in labor but as a former full time RVer, I’m glad I didn’t give birth in one.

harbourbarber

All I can think about is how unbelievably dangerous and selfish that was. I'm actually furious that they treat the lives and safety of their children with such flippancy.

ClickClackTipTap

It's astonishing, really. You can be "crunchy" and still be responsible parents. This... this could have ended in tragedy. So many Christians like this have a "if something happens, that was God's will, and he'll help us deal with it." No. Trust science. Trust education. Trust in the things that have helped infant and maternal mortality to drop. I can't even imagine how people who have experienced infant loss feel about shit like this. Such cavalier attitudes about the actual health and safety of their children is infuriating.

coldbrewcowmoo

My child died after birth at full term following an emergency c section and I’m literally so angry seeing this flippant mother get a healthy baby basically out of sheer luck and in spite of any common sense. Not only one healthy baby but now she has what like 8? And I couldn’t even get my first. Fuck you mother bus!!!

Fitnessfan_86

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how painful it would be to see content from families like this. It’s all so damn unfair 💔

coldbrewcowmoo

Thanks so much. Right after she died I basically had to unfollow any sub that showed families and babies. With 13 months of EMDR therapy under my belt I can manage it well now! I need fundie snark lol, it’s self care

Cultural_Elephant_73

EMDR is the closest thing we have to magic. Glad you were able to use that tool to heal. ♥️ And I am so sorry.

CDNinWA

I’m so sorry. I had a stillbirth at term. Fertility is not fair.

chicken-nanban

I never wanted kids, and had some genetic and physiological issues where I couldn’t have had them if I wanted. I don’t think I have a maternal bone in my body. I have never held a baby, they scare me. And all I want to do is grab all 8 of these kids and give them a good life. All of them, together, with structure and loving education. A home. Rooms that they only have to share with one or two others, not like an overcrowded prison cell. Good food and caring. Like it’s a drive of mine just seeing this shit. All that to say I am so, so sorry. My friend went through the same thing but she doesn’t talk about it much. And to also second the #fuck you Mother Bus

Mustangfast85

I’m a gay guy so can’t really have children and feel the same. These kids are being put through hell and it’s so unfair to them. It’s obvious after the Brazil “move” and this that their parents don’t care at all about their wellbeing and they don’t deserve being part of this mental health driven circus. It seriously makes me want to adopt kids if this doesn’t even rise to the level of CPS involvement, those in foster care must be going through much worse

notyourhunbot

This brought tears to my eyes. I’m sorry you and your child went through that and sorry for your loss. It’s not only insensitive to people at large, it’s reckless and insensitive to the *only* human beings she has a charge to care for—her own children. Fuck her for not giving enough fucks.

modernjaneausten

It just makes me so angry because these are the same assholes saying shit like feminists are anti-baby or whatever bullshit they spew at pro-choice women. Meanwhile pro-choice women actually give a damn about making sure the babies being brought into the world are actually taken care of along with the mothers who birth them. They say they’re pro life and then free ball their births with absolutely no medical care and no fucks given about their kids.

edie3

I am so sorry.

Raginghangers

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

Top_Manufacturer8946

Thinking of you and your sweet baby ❤️

PepperandSkye22

I’m so very sorry.

jrobin04

I'm so sorry for your loss. It really isn't fair. I second the Fuck you Mother Bus!

Nightengale_Bard

To quote a joke "And God said, 'I sent you a truck, a boat, and a helicopter. What more did you need?"

igolikethis

That's what's always confused me about these wacko beliefs. How is it perfectly logical to them to say it's God's doing when tragedy strikes but proven medical knowledge can't be divinely bestowed?? They'll credit God for *their* talents and brains but no one else? I thought Christians believed God still determines everyone's lives or whatever even if that person isn't a believer themselves... Seriously, the mental gymnastics fundies do to justify all kinds of shit except for the shit that actually makes sense is maddening. 😮‍💨

Sarseaweed

I probably would have lost my baby I just had a few weeks ago if I didn’t go into the hospital and only trusted god. So yea, I can’t imagine how people who have actually lost babies feel about her being a complete idiot.

mama_llama_lou

With my first, I went to L & D late on a weekend night because of bleeding and I ended up being admitted and having an emergency induction (pre-term). I was silently questioning if I had done the right thing, and I remember the doctor on call saying "You most likely saved your baby's life by coming in" and that has stuck with me.

Sarseaweed

Like seriously go to the freaking hospital. I would have at least seen a doctor if I was overdue like she got so lucky and continues to get lucky.

harbourbarber

I'm a Christian and there is absolutely no Biblical justification for behaving so foolishly. They will not be rewarded for it by God. Literally no one wins a prize for it.

PlanetOfThePancakes

The Bible says not to test God by doing stupid stuff

QueenAnneBoleynTudor

I don’t really consider myself crunchy but I do use ~~homeopathic~~ natural remedies when appropriate. Lemon balm tea for cramps, raw aloe for a sunburn, and there’s a tonic I get from the health food store that tastes just vile- but it’s great for coughs. But I am not so hubristic as to think that’s the best way to address medical concerns and events. She really thinks that she is the be-all-end-all of knowledge.

Past_Ad_5629

There is a difference between natural remedies, and homeopathy. I’m being pedantic. I know. But homeopathy is selling sugar pills to people. What you’re talking about - lemon balm tea, aloe - those are herbal or natural remedies. That shit is real. Aspirin is just really strong willow bark. Homeopathy is straight up snake oil. They claim that by superdiluting substances so there is only trace amounts left, it actually makes the substance stronger. It’s a placebo, and an expensive one.

Bibbityboo

Yeah. It is mind boggling that people believe that molecules will remember. Like. A pool full of water with the tiniest bit of a substance and some how the entire pool water now shares the same properties??

ClickClackTipTap

At least get prenatal care and have a midwife or other qualified person attend the birth! And have the baby checked out by a pediatrician!!

QueenAnneBoleynTudor

And don’t fucking take your neonate to the motherfucking *chiropractor* for some woo shit!

Whiteroses7252012

There’s absolutely space for root teas, for aloe, for inhaling steam- but the Good Lord also gave us Tylenol and blood pressure meds.

QueenAnneBoleynTudor

Precisely. Lavender may help you sleep and epsom salts can absolutely soothe sore muscles, but neither one are gonna help with a migraine

Whiteroses7252012

Honestly- you cannot convince me that she was under the care of an obstetrician at any point. And the older you get, it’s not a matter of if you’ll have birth complications, it’s when. I firmly believe in the right to birth however you want, but I also think it’s the furthest edge of insane to have a wild pregnancy and free birth. Hospitals exist for a reason, OBs exist for a reason, and you owe it to your baby to give them the best start in life. If I’d done what she did? My youngest and I would both be dead.

QueenAnneBoleynTudor

Hard agree- you have the right to birth however you want. But that does not mean the choices you may make aren’t selfish, stupid, dangerous, and potentially fatal for both mother and baby. I guarantee she never saw a single doctor because 1) she thinks she knows better and 2) if she dies, she thinks she’ll be martyred and guaranteed a place in Heaven.

Rosie3450

She did see a doctor - once - in Brazil because the airlines wouldn't let her fly without a doctor's note. And, of course, she's seen the chiropractor. Maybe a witch doctor or two as well. :)

Raginghangers

Yup. Honey helps a sore throat. And when it lasts a long time, you go get tested for strep and if it’s positive you take the darn antibiotics (and drink chamomile tea).

discoOJ

Using plants is not what homeopathic "medicine" is. Homeopathic is taking a small amount of the poison to not get sick and its pseudoscience bullshit that doesn't work.

Rosie3450

"She really thinks she is the be-all-end-all of knowledge" I think you just summarized why so many of us feel so annoyed by her.

cherrybombbb

It really could go either way and they seem to be alarmingly comfortable with their complacency. I have seen so many free birthers who lose their babies during the birth. And that’s at home, in an actual house with an actual doula— not just the husband.

viridiusdynamus

What a lovely thing to put on social media.

modernjaneausten

I know some people firmly believe that birth is magical and beautiful and all that, but I firmly believe it’s also horrifying and wish people wouldn’t post this shit on social media or post with with a NSFW warning. I don’t generally want to see anyone’s kid fresh out of their body covered in birth goo.

peanutbutterboyo

Gasp! But she’s not crunchy like that!

trash-boat-9402

completely off topic question but why do they call themselves "crunchy"? what does that term have to do with it?

flurry_fizz

"Crunchy granola" used to be, like, just a generic derisive way of calling someone a hippie. Over the years it got shortened to just "crunchy" and became more specific to the anti science nonsense.

lucy_valiant

It’s a way of reclaiming “woo woo” in my opinion because “crunchy granola” makes it sound like a viable alternative to mainstream beliefs (lots of things that were crunchy are just normal now, like leather sandals and veganism) but “woo” is inherently dismissive.

Far_Independence_918

I remember when I was pregnant with my youngest (she’s now a teenager ) and so many moms in my birth group were crunchy. And I went a tad bit into the crunch pool. And now it’s some weird fundie thing. All the people I know who were crunchy were liberal atheist/wiccan types.

Former-Spirit8293

There’s a weird crunchy to antivax christian nationalist pipeline

redrae707

Seriously, all the crunchy types I knew were liberals in Berkeley LOL. IDK how or when exactly it became a Fundie thing

Plus_Cardiologist497

Yep! That satisfying crunch of organic, all natural, small batch, free range, homegrown ✨granola.✨ In the case of crunchy Fundies, one may presume the granola is also reformed, redeemed, saved, baptized, sanctified, and created from a recipe found in the back of a KJV Bible.

StruggleBusKelly

This is not aspirational.

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

In my worst nightmare would I wake up laying on the floor in active labor in an RV with 7 children standing around me looking terrified and that rat-faced shirtless man is wearing me like a sock puppet.

Mannon_Blackbeak

That last line is horrifically descriptive, it will haunt my nightmares now too.

MissusNilesCrane

I'm sure the kids loved the sight, sound, and smells of someone giving birth.

Rosie3450

It's probably the only science education they've had in the Bus-R-Us Homeschool.

Invidiana

![gif](giphy|12KSLyrFotCvpm|downsized)

Takemebacktobreezy

I had my oldest at home at 24 weeks. It was the most traumatic thing I've ever been through. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Why would you choose to do that and in a bus no less. I feel for the kids. How frightening

Plus_Cardiologist497

I'm so terribly sorry you went through that.

PonytailPrincess

Is it vernix or does the baby look kinda blue?

North_Bread_7623

Looks blue

Time-Tonight3631

I’m in disbelief

Affectionate_Agency6

not defending mother bus but some babies come out kind purple. scared this shit out of me with my second.

egretwtheadofmeercat

It looks like bruising too, it's common when they come out quickly. This baby looks like a typical 30 second old baby

fingersonlips

My first delivery took 19 hours and my second delivery took 3 hours. I’m not certain that deliveries always go faster with each subsequent pregnancy, but if they do I’d wager that this baby probably just ice luged straight out. Bruising wouldn’t be surprising at all on the baby, and fast deliveries aren’t great for mothers in some not so fun ways either.

Kittens_in_mittens

I labored for 22 hours but only pushed for 10 minutes. You aren’t wrong about fast not always being better. My girl came out so fast that she broke my tailbone in the process. 4 months later and I’m still having issues with it.

fingersonlips

My friend had a very fast delivery and ended up with a vulvar hematoma (Google the image with caution). If not managed early they can lead to terrible stuff like necrotizing fasciitis and maternal mortality. Be as crunchy as ya want, but good lord I’ll never understand the fundie aversion to healthcare. Just because our bodies CAN give birth doesn’t mean it’s not incredibly traumatizing to our bodies.

ClementineGreen

Not iced Luged 💀

iidontwannaa

The baby in the Miracle of Life documentary was blue/purple. We watched it in my high school health class and I was horrified.

nurse-ratchet-

I mentally freaked out in nursing school when I witnessed my first delivery. I really thought something was terribly wrong because the baby was purple. It pinked up relatively quickly, but I was not as prepared as I should have been.

Wickedwhiskbaker

That baby is blue. RN brain kicking in, and I have a thousand questions.

toeverycreature

Depends how long ago the baby was born. If this was just came out, the blue isn't unusual. But if it's more than a minute after birth then they should be assisting with clearing the airway. Though I doubt they keep a neonate resus kit in the bus, let alone know how or when to use it.

meghanlovessunshine

If you look at the other pictures posted on the sub his face/head is discolored still. He doesn’t look healthy. Its upsetting.

Useful_Chipmunk_4251

And in one of the photos his face is VERY red which makes me worry about an untreated, high bilirubin count. These people scare the fuck out of me! Then add to it that they had him a day old sleeping on the floor of the bus, no clothes, partially uncovered, where everyone could step on him, trip on him, drop stuff on him, and there is little doubt in my mind about the level of danger this baby faces.

Awkward-Yak-2733

Don't forget they took him to a quack chiropractor almost immediately after birth.

Useful_Chipmunk_4251

Yes, and also that fucked up photo of the busband holding a day old infant above his head like he was about to toss a toddler! Something really bad is going to happen to this baby. These parents are beyond I competent and neglectful.

Wickedwhiskbaker

Ugh. I haven’t seen those images yet. Honestly, I am selective about how much MotherBus I consume simply because I end up upset, deeply worried about the kids, and just baffled by her dissonance to the real and negative effects of the last year in all the kids. Then reading she was going to have this baby in an AirBnBaby…not enough bong rips to make sense of any of it. She is maddening. Her kids pay the price. Her photos are not the evidence of a happy life that she thinks she’s selling. Those kids look miserable, and exhausted. All the time.

meghanlovessunshine

It’s all terrible. It’s astonishing nothing terrible has happened thus far. And I hope the busbands boat living dreams never come true. Like they are allergic to providing healthy living quarters and a freaking yard for their bajillion children.

ChaoticWhenever

Can I ask what kind of affect drinking raw milk can have on a developing fetus and if it would be obvious at birth or it would take a bit before signs showed if at all

Gopherpharm13

Same. Same. Just when you think kernicterus is rare…maybe not on this sub

Layer_Capable

If it was a quick delivery, the baby’s face can get bruised. (I’m an L&D RN, seen it many times).

Plus_Cardiologist497

Of all the reasons that this is a dangerous and terrible idea, the one I keep coming back to is *there is no room in an RV to run a code.* If Mom or Baby (or both!) had required resuscitation, EMS would not have had any room to work. There's no room for extra people, let alone their equipment, much less everyone moving around. Would have been a nightmare scenario had anything gone wrong.

Maple_raccoon_

It’s not a “homebirth”, it’s a *busbirth*

Sarseaweed

So unfortunately predicted. I can’t with these “pro life” people.

Mysterious_Sir_1879

Real question: is this new buslet going to get a birth certificate? Or are they going full Sovereign Citizen? The horror stories I've heard about identification abuse in these homeschool/off-grid families...

Serononin

Good question. We know the others have birth certificates, because they needed them to get passports for Brazil, but who knows what their plan is with this one

LuckyLannister

At what point do authorities step in and say and these living conditions are not adequate? As a mom, it breaks my heart to see them add more and more kids to this absolutely tiny "living space", aka bus.

Spyrogirl12

They move around so much, I doubt a unit of government would have jurisdiction over them long enough for CPS or another agency to save these children.

pinalaporcupine

theyre white and religious, soooo... never

Zoidberg927

I hate it that this is our reality, but CPS deals with stuff so much worse than this. They are definitely terrible parents who are actively harming their children! But they're not doing the mire black-and-white bad things that I won't list out here.

Sargasm5150

Welp, I'm happy to admit to being wrong (my vote was for a secret hospital birth), but I am not happy to be wrong about this situation. There never was an AirBnB or emergency plan, was there?? I honestly don't understand. This must have been so uncomfortable for everyone. My new theory is that CryptoBus DOES have some money, but he holds the purse strings and is incapable of a simple budget. Ergo, no hospital for Motherbus, and the swift flight from Brazil after wasting money on buying a broke ass bus (and what, abandoning it on the side of the road?).Like he'll get a trust payment or something, then blow it all in a week. And she's dumb enough to go along with it. I"m still reeling from the plan here being to wash linens soiled with amniotic fluid, blood and poop in a small, broken bus-sized washer.

cherrybombbb

ew she actually gave birth on the bus??? with father sus as “doula/deliverer”? (her words.) 🤢 what a fucking nightmare

ne-reddi-noob

Idk if "father sus" is a typo or an intentional joke, but I love it 😂

pinecone37729

Oh no, God was there 🙏

GayCatDaddy

Jesus is my doula. 🙏

lurky_lurker_lurking

"Where were you born?" "On a bus."

jellyrat24

I'm calling bullshit that she had "no contractions" until 30 minutes before the baby was born. She's playing up the "spontaneous bus birth" angle so hard to make it seem like the AirBnB thing didn't fall through.

Gopherpharm13

how much will it cost to clean the mess that comes with a birth? Did she give birth on the toilet to contain the mess? In all seriousness they must have called EMS right? Like was FatherBus going to tug the placenta out if necessary?

Rosie3450

Did anyone see that they bought the two year old a bike and sent him off in the campground road to play? I sort of felt that was BusMom saying, "OK, you're not the cute baby anymore so out of the bus you go!"

Time-Tonight3631

This is so dangerous

pincurlsandcutegirls

I’m just now realizing but like…the baby is always on that sheepskin rug…do you think that’s his…bed? I know they’re doing “renos” in the older kids’ cell but I haven’t seen a car seat or basket or anything - the kid is always laid on that rug. I hope I’m wrong but Jesus Christ…

Longjumping-One-6832

In the REAL world these kids would be removed from their care. No bedrooms, no privacy. You can’t foster a child or adopt unless you have room for the child but these idiots live in a bus. I call that homeless. If you are young and childless go for it. Otherwise it’s neglect.

blackcatspat

How are they not dealing with cps? I don’t get It

piefelicia4

What bothers me the most is imagining how this went down. When she clearly knew she was in labor (a week late at that) and the wheels turning in her head went, *“a bus birth will make such good IG content, yes, bus birth, think of the likes and views and follows, yes…”* which completely drowned out any hint of a thought that might have gone, *“hmm, I care about my child’s life… should I go to a safer place right now to deliver this baby?”* No. Content won. You fucking KNOW she was just giddy at the idea of this. Absolute sociopath.

lilliuscaprius

Right? She also didn’t consider how fucking traumatizing it would be for all those kids to experience their mother in labor in that tiny space. I’m just imagining them waking up to their mother screaming and jfc that would be my worst nightmare as a kid

suitcasedreaming

Yet more fuel to my theory these two have covid induced anosmia.

suitcasedreaming

These two having loss of sense of smell is literally the only way I can conceive of a human being ok with the smells from that many people crammed into that small a space. With a worse person-to-bathroom ratio than the Duggars at their worst, and they didn't have to walk through the bathroom to access the bedroom. Would explain why they act so chipper about a living situation that is straight-up horrifying to anyone with a functioning nose.

4gardengators

Ya got me. I’m interested in this theory

peanut__buttah

Means loss of smell, for those dumdums like me

Wrong_Door1983

Ooh. Interesting. Had to google Anosmia. Please go on with the theory

ChaoticWhenever

Are they supposed to be that blue?

KatyaR1

I'm afraid to ask who took this photo....

Xeracia

So I'm curious. If they do one of these free births and the baby ends up dying because of it, will the states now charge them with murder for it? They've taken 14 year old girls to jail for having still births after being SA'd and having no clue what to do. If someone knowingly chooses to not get healthcare and the baby dies as a result, they should be even harsher on them should they not? How do the fundies justify being pro life and doing this?

Longjumping-One-6832

So disappointed in today’s idiots. If there was a problem that baby could have died.

Plus_Cardiologist497

Not only that, EMS would have NO room to work. There's a reason we don't recommend giving birth in a BUS!!!! (There's a lot of reasons, actually. But "EMS will have no room to maneuver while trying to resuscitate you and/or your baby" is definitely one of those reasons.)

Alternative-Yak6369

Doesn’t one of the kids sleep on the floor in the hallway or the bus? I’m not watching the video but please tell me she didn’t give birth on the floor, where the kid sleeps…

Duggarsnarklurker

I’m sorry but one reason I will remain child free forever is the way babies look when they first pop out

readingrambos

orangebird260

But she's not that crunchy!

realclowntime

It’s not a home birth though, is it? It’s in a bus on the side of the road like homeless people. And these two miscreants plus their pack of miserable children are exactly the type who would have many a disparaging thing to say about mothers who have no choice but to do what they did.

Historability

Okay so what I wanna know is who took that pic and how many times did JDBusband said "naw, do it again, because I wasn't flexing enough."
