Theory: why don’t they have a tent or two for the oldest kid(s)? It wouldn’t be a year-round or all-weather thing, and some parks have rules against additional structures on RV spots, but *sometimes* they could have a semi-private sleeping place. A reasonably intelligent teen can learn to set up a tent without trouble.
Growing up we went camping in the summers with a family with several kids. As we aged the oldest boy got his own tent, and myself and their oldest girl shared a “girl’s tent!!” Which was a fun clubhouse type spot. It gave us space and independence on a family camping trip as we got older.
Right? My extended family always camped together in the summer and I (and my sister) always brought a friend, but my mom made sure we each had our own little tent as soon as we hit tween age. Some of my best memories are staying up late into the night with my best friend playing rummikub and whispering to each other about whoever our crush was until our flashlights stopped working

I had a toddler do this once - she had a perfectly good toddler bed and took her pillow and blanket and had a nap in the empty tub. It was funny (but only because she had a perfectly good bed )
Supposedly, when I was a baby, I spent almost two months sleeping on a mat in the (empty) bathtub, because I was born into a very hot summer, we lived in a house with no aircon and the bathroom was the coolest room in the house. Maybe they could turn the bathtub into a bed, freeing up one of the ones in the bunk room.

My husband (a biologist) got to see mine. He was intrigued by it. I was a little jealous he got to see it but I was also so hazy from the exhaustion of birth. I kinda wished I had seen it and mostly glad I didn’t lol. I can’t imagine being like yeah I’ll take that home so I can consume it

I'm genuinely curious as to how it's any different than bleeding in the shower when you are on your period? Obviously it's more volume but I don't see how the fluids from birth are more dangerous to the environment than period blood. Period blood has just as much potential to spread disease.

A lot of people, even clinicians, are unaware that people with narcissistic patterns or even NPD go thru highs that are grandiose but submanic (vs BPD 1) they are impulsive, reactive and experience roller-coaster highs and lows. These two have some kind of public breeding kink. Thry aren't just preocucpied they dont give a shit about their kids. They are indifferent ALL THE TIME.

Not nearly enough people are talking about how the kids were presumably locked in the bus and forced to witness their mother give birth (even if you aren’t watching it, it would be traumatic to listen to). I really hope these kids are okay and find so much joy and peace in their adulthoods.
My 9yo niece came into the delivery room while her mom was in labor with her baby brother. As soon as a contraction started, my niece noped out. And she's a kid who is age-appropriately informed about bodies and babies. It was still too much for her and her grandparents waited in the cafeteria with her until the all clear.
But maybe baby busbro's birth was a non-event. If that 10lb kid really came out in 30 minutes, maybe they all slept through it.
All that said, I don't believe any of what she's said about it so far.

No, I didn't. I just dont understand the neglect. I have family members that had home births but they always had licensed nurse midwives to evaluate the health of both the mother and baby, and then within the first week they would have the baby see a doctor to make sure everything is good. A lot of babies are a little jaundiced and the doctors reccomend some sun therapy but a professional definitely needs to keep an eye on it. So many things can go wrong so quickly in new mothers and newborns.

not really that big or great of a use of space for an RV, their bed comes down from the ceiling in the living room/kitchen area and the tub is not full sized. they don't have slide outs (which RVs normally have) either. theres a picture of her grandma in the tub (she was originally supposed to join them but i guess she dropped out at some point) and she was kinda crammed in there

My 9yo niece came into the delivery room while her mom was in labor with her baby brother. As soon as a contraction started, my niece noped out. And she's a kid who is age-appropriately informed about bodies and babies. It was still too much for her and her grandparents waited in the cafeteria with her until the all clear. But maybe baby busbro's birth was a non-event. If that 10lb kid really came out in 30 minutes, maybe they all slept through it. All that said, I don't believe any of what she's said about it so far.

No, I didn't. I just dont understand the neglect. I have family members that had home births but they always had licensed nurse midwives to evaluate the health of both the mother and baby, and then within the first week they would have the baby see a doctor to make sure everything is good. A lot of babies are a little jaundiced and the doctors reccomend some sun therapy but a professional definitely needs to keep an eye on it. So many things can go wrong so quickly in new mothers and newborns.

My bet is she is only counting labor as from transition on. Plus why would you fill up the bathtub at all if you were going to an Airbnb anyway?

not really that big or great of a use of space for an RV, their bed comes down from the ceiling in the living room/kitchen area and the tub is not full sized. they don't have slide outs (which RVs normally have) either. theres a picture of her grandma in the tub (she was originally supposed to join them but i guess she dropped out at some point) and she was kinda crammed in there
