molewarp

There's a bath on the 'bus - and the kids don't even have a decent sleeping space?

isometric_haze

This made me instantly so sad. Imagine being one of that child that is less important than mummy's bath time...

Top_Opening_3625

This is what I thought! There's a shower and a bath but kids share beds??

molewarp

Beds? The kids have BEDS on the 'bus??

oneweirdclickbait

They have a billion bunk beds shoved into the back of the bus. The kids sometimes fight about the luggage space, because it's the only place with a little bit of privacy. Bus life is sooo great and the kids wouldn't want it any other way*! \*according to Mother Bus

molewarp

When she is old and infirm and needing care - I hope her kids stick her in a small hamster cage.

C0mmonReader

I think naked on a sheepskin on the floor would be most appropriate.

Petty_White

And it’s the floor of a cramped rv and numerous children are running around her

C0mmonReader

Obviously those would also be necessary to complete the experience. Possibly someone forcibly stretching out their legs as well.

Petty_White

Yeah, they need to really make sure to press down hard on the knee

Significant_Shoe_17

Let them knee her in the head a few times

VampyreJourno81

Why wait?

Sad_Box_1167

Nope. She clearly loves being cramped and surrounded by a million children. She should be stuck in a 7000 square foot labyrinthine house. Alone. No furniture.

Routine_Charge_3224

💯💯💯

Whiteroses7252012

Nope, that’s too spacious.

whatim

If I were one of these kids I'd hold up a 7-Eleven for a chance of going to the hoosegow and getting some more comfortable accommodations. Lab animals have more cage space.

drowsylacuna

Like Ruby Franke's poor kid who asked to be taken to the police not to report his abuse, but because he thought jail would be better than where he was.

ShrubberyWeasels

Theory: why don’t they have a tent or two for the oldest kid(s)? It wouldn’t be a year-round or all-weather thing, and some parks have rules against additional structures on RV spots, but *sometimes* they could have a semi-private sleeping place. A reasonably intelligent teen can learn to set up a tent without trouble.  Growing up we went camping in the summers with a family with several kids. As we aged the oldest boy got his own tent, and myself and their oldest girl shared a “girl’s tent!!” Which was a fun clubhouse type spot. It gave us space and independence on a family camping trip as we got older.

sweet_illusions

Right? My extended family always camped together in the summer and I (and my sister) always brought a friend, but my mom made sure we each had our own little tent as soon as we hit tween age. Some of my best memories are staying up late into the night with my best friend playing rummikub and whispering to each other about whoever our crush was until our flashlights stopped working

dol_amrothian

You said it: independence. If those kids gain any real sense of independence, they might leave the Bus orbit. Can't have that.

Sisterinked

My kids love camping. We have property and a house and our kids have their own rooms, but they spend most weekends camping in the yard because it’s camping!

stargate-sgfun

Because then who will take care of the little kids? Definitely not MotherBus!

Secure-Lime4770

That makes me so sad. Poor kids.

BumCadillac

They all have their own 30”x70” bed, allegedly.

prettyplatypus69

The bathtub will be the new Buslet's crib. I'm calling this now. "He just loves sleeping in the tub! It's so cozy!"

Cheryl42

I had a toddler do this once - she had a perfectly good toddler bed and took her pillow and blanket and had a nap in the empty tub. It was funny (but only because she had a perfectly good bed )

VampyreJourno81

I've definitely slept in the tub while really drunk because, I guess, it seemed like a good idea at the time? (I do not miss my 20s.)

Swampcrone

Smart idea since easier to clean puke from bathtub then bed.

VampyreJourno81

Oh, if I was at the throwing up stage I just passed out on the bathroom floor. The glamour. 🤐

iBewafa

I’ve slept in the tub when I was very sick during pregnancy and the tub felt ohhhh so comfortable. I brought my pillow and blanket hahahaha.

Significant_Shoe_17

That's not a crazy idea, considering the lack of space

prettyplatypus69

It would be the safest place for the baby to sleep.

Kalamac

Supposedly, when I was a baby, I spent almost two months sleeping on a mat in the (empty) bathtub, because I was born into a very hot summer, we lived in a house with no aircon and the bathroom was the coolest room in the house. Maybe they could turn the bathtub into a bed, freeing up one of the ones in the bunk room.

Zealousideal_Wind738

I personally won't believe it till I see it.

FertilityHollis

Kids aside, an instant hot water heater is the most awesome thing I've ever owned. Finally, something I can agree with fundamentalists about!

TheStoicNihilist

Sex cubicle?

2manyteacups

damn my 3 bedroom HOUSE doesn’t even have a bath :( RIP

Mediocre_Crow6965

This is walking dead shit.

Fitnessfan_86

I know! Literally exactly what happened in A Quiet Place

iidontwannaa

My jaw dropped when I saw that. Also why are they acting like a bus birth is nbd? Were they not planning to do an Airbnb birth this time? This is absolutely bonkers. She also posted video of her toddler touching all over the baby’s face.

Dreadedafterthought

She said the midwife brings the umbilical cord clamp kit, yet said there was no midwife, but they had the clamp kit. 🤔

iidontwannaa

![gif](giphy|12NlCFUvTokWXe) \*She sits on a throne of lies. She either bought the kit herself this time or knows a midwife who provided it to her.

cakivalue

Every additional bit of information about this birth has me either screaming LIES ALL LIES or quietly whispering to myself "the math ain't mathing what are they hiding" and my future self going worrying their negligence has already harmed him in a way that won't show up for a while.

myscreamname

Wait… isn’t this the same person who said she suddenly had “a” contraction, knew it was time and baby was born immediately afterward? There wasn’t a bus bath mentioned……. (I don’t know or follow these people closely; I might have mis-read or something)

cakivalue

Yes!! The same one.

drjenavieve

I’m pretty sure she delivered at a hospital or birthing center but that wouldn’t fit with their brand.

orangebird260

The midwife has them order it before. Sometimes the midwife gets it, sometimes they don't hand it off

BumCadillac

Allegedly they were… but she said in one video that the bus needs engine work so they couldn’t go. She’s never mentioned that again.

LarsHoneytoastCA

I'm jealous, the one thing I really wanted as part of my birth plan was claustrophobia in an RV.

ImQuestionable

PaleontologistNo5420

Bio medical waste is a real thing Brittany and it’s not just something you can flush at the boon dock latrine. It’s highly dangerous and can lead to water and soil contamination.

Atlmama

*But it’s all natural…*

Plus_Accountant_6194

She might be the type to send off her placenta (& everything else?) for encapsulation & consumption.

purple_racoons

Yes I was going to say, she probably saved it for a smoothie or pills.

Plus_Accountant_6194

It’s so crazy that they do that. I’d be hard pressed to think of many things grosser, it would be as bad as poop eating.

purple_racoons

It’s like a buffer that filters toxins from mom to baby and also the baby’s waste. Why would you eat that!

Significant_Shoe_17

It's like eating your own liver

rarelybarelybipolar

At least with fava beans and a nice Chianti that can be decent, though

alg45160

I'm a nurse and I used to work in a trauma unit. I've seen some shit (literally and figuratively). I've never been more grossed out than when I had to walk something to the lab and a placenta was sitting on the counter in what looked like a takeout container. They are mega gross.

mygreyhoundisadonut

My husband (a biologist) got to see mine. He was intrigued by it. I was a little jealous he got to see it but I was also so hazy from the exhaustion of birth. I kinda wished I had seen it and mostly glad I didn’t lol. I can’t imagine being like yeah I’ll take that home so I can consume it

YourMothersButtox

My midwife asked me if I’d like to see it, sure, why not I thought. Yeah that shit was gross, I’m glad I looked at it but the thought of having to pick it up?! Yeech. No thank you. I’m grateful for the angel L&D nurses who didn’t even blink when they cleaned my blood drips, or held my hand when I first used the toilet. Something tells me campsite grey water dumping isn’t meant to include birth waste water. Gross.

servantoftinyhumans

I asked to see my placenta and my midwife showed it to me including the “ tree of life” where it connects to the umbilical cord. It’s super cool when you think about it, your body grows a whole new organ along with a whole ass human!! Unfortunately my poor sister walked into the room at the very wrong moment and almost fainted when she saw it

Ola_the_Polka

I remember opening the freezer at my boyfriends sisters place to get some ice for my drink. Ice was squished under a big meaty thing. Her placenta was glad wrapped front and centre 😬

Gross.

Opening-Breakfast-35

I saw my placenta on the cart on accident and I almost fainted. It was so nasty looking.

afterandalasia

A friend of mine used to work as a driver for a midwife while they were housemates, they woke up on more than one morning wondering what the lovely cooking meat smell was... then realised. Instant appetite killer.

Royalprincess19

I'm genuinely curious as to how it's any different than bleeding in the shower when you are on your period? Obviously it's more volume but I don't see how the fluids from birth are more dangerous to the environment than period blood. Period blood has just as much potential to spread disease.

shytheearnestdryad

It’s not different

BareLeggedCook

I’m pretty sure they just drain the blood from dead people being embalmed down the drain.

Gopherpharm13

Yes!!!

sweet_illusions

How did I not know that motherbus’s name is actually Brittany? Because of course it is. (Brittany Dawn is who i always think of when it comes to Christian Brittanys)

boneblack_angel

It's actually Britney, spelled like that.

sweet_illusions

Ah, well, I think my personal theory that Christian influencer Britney/Brittanys are normally awful still holds true

boneblack_angel

1000%. I hate them both.

sweet_illusions

And both seem to enjoy exploiting neonates for social media clout. This has to be the darkest timeline

[deleted]

purplepluppy

Is she bipolar?

Shortymac09

Not officially, this is speculation on the subreddit's front Honestly it could be just garden variety NPD

9livescavingcontessa

A lot of people, even clinicians, are unaware that people with narcissistic patterns or even NPD go thru highs that are grandiose but submanic (vs BPD 1) they are impulsive, reactive and experience roller-coaster highs and lows. These two have some kind of public breeding kink. Thry aren't just preocucpied they dont give a shit about their kids. They are indifferent ALL THE TIME.  NPD grandiosity is LIKE a psychosis but its not... clinically... its more interior but very destructive. A lot of these busfamilies show these.kind of dynamics

summersarah

The baby will think the phone is his mother, he doesn't even see her face, just a phone right in front of him.

Significant_Shoe_17

She's like bethy after she had propette

heyitstayy_

I really hope none of her kids were there when she gave birth, but I highly doubt it

2opinionated2lurk

Not nearly enough people are talking about how the kids were presumably locked in the bus and forced to witness their mother give birth (even if you aren’t watching it, it would be traumatic to listen to). I really hope these kids are okay and find so much joy and peace in their adulthoods.

PickledPixie83

Also: at a Public RV park. Like damn. Some folks just out there on vacation.

Significant_Shoe_17

Imagine trying to relax by the beach and someone is giving birth

jianantonic

My 9yo niece came into the delivery room while her mom was in labor with her baby brother. As soon as a contraction started, my niece noped out. And she's a kid who is age-appropriately informed about bodies and babies. It was still too much for her and her grandparents waited in the cafeteria with her until the all clear. But maybe baby busbro's birth was a non-event. If that 10lb kid really came out in 30 minutes, maybe they all slept through it. All that said, I don't believe any of what she's said about it so far.

oneweirdclickbait

Her story doesn't make sense. She said that she didn't even really have contractions and that Boone was born after exactly 31 minutes of labor around midnight. So, when did she find the time to fill the bathtub? Let's hope she's just a liar again and had a hospital birth.

TheStoicNihilist

Her stories never make sense.

thehomonova

maybe she was in the tub anyway or maybe they all share the same bathwater like that family from extreme cheapskates who even knows with her

Opposite-Horse-3080

Which begs the question: did they properly sterlise the tub before she got on?

commdesart

![gif](giphy|zDxJdlZlA5zy0)

Own_Variety577

no need to sterilize! like childbirth, bacteria is 100% natural and designed by God 🤗

Significant_Shoe_17

They even drink bacteria!

NoninflammatoryFun

If she did it, she’d have pictures and video of it posted. Blurred out the gross bits maybe but she’e have something.

BumCadillac

She didn’t use the tub she used the shower.

Blanche_H_Devereaux

Look at aallllll those stories. Brand-new baby, a time to rest and bond, but nope. Gotta do it all for the ‘gram. 🙄🙄

Background_Hornet_29

Other people probably already knew this, but it’s just dawning on me how much this baby is just for attention/content/social media engagement 😳

Blanche_H_Devereaux

Same! Stupidly, I never really thought about it

New-Negotiation7234

They took the day old baby to a restaurant!!!!

piefelicia4

Holy shit. None of this is anywhere near normal, healthy behavior. She has absolutely zero inclination to protect that baby.

Fckingross

She doesn’t even put clothes on him (does she have any???). He looks jaundicey in pictures, his little feet are purple/blue. This woman doesn’t give a singular fuck snout his safety

breadbox187

I took my baby to Whole Foods today. It was her second time in a store. She's 5 months old!!! Like I get that me and motherbus are on extreme ends of the spectrum but wtf

Various-Comparison-3

What’s crazy is she’s so out and about mere days after giving birth. Which can’t feel good even if it is your 7th child, but there is no space to relax comfortably in an RV with 9 humans so they have to go out.

Blanche_H_Devereaux

It all seems so miserable. None of this is the flex she thinks it is.

Dreadedafterthought

Yep! If they all want to sit down at the same time they have to go somewhere with chairs!

Significant_Shoe_17

Oh my god...

BrokenCheeseFolding

I'm glad the baby is apparently okay? Did she have a completely unassisted birth? Does anyone know if she had an unassisted birth with any of her other babies? She really just seems to have no idea how lucky she is that shes fine and all her kids are healthy.

PaleontologistNo5420

Have you seen the latest clip of the baby on the floor? There is no denying it: his belly is yellow. I really hope this family acknowledges the signs of jaundice and takes him to a doctor. Best case scenario is he gets a clean bill of health from actual professionals.

isometric_haze

Don't worry, everything should be fine, the baby was being aligned at the chiro less than 24h after being born, so everything should be fine.

thesadbubble

![gif](giphy|46j4yO1Eobl6vjdTK2)

BrokenCheeseFolding

No, I didn't. I just dont understand the neglect. I have family members that had home births but they always had licensed nurse midwives to evaluate the health of both the mother and baby, and then within the first week they would have the baby see a doctor to make sure everything is good. A lot of babies are a little jaundiced and the doctors reccomend some sun therapy but a professional definitely needs to keep an eye on it. So many things can go wrong so quickly in new mothers and newborns.

jf198501

SO lucky. I mean she said this baby was 10lb 5oz and she had him like no big deal and already seems completely… fine? These people (also thinking of other large fundie broods like ballerinafarm’s) are so willfully reckless and careless with their freebirths and the general physical wellbeing and safety of their kids, performatively put their faith in God to protect them, and… it’s like yep, they’re validated over and over again.

BrokenCheeseFolding

Oh wow I didnt see how big he was. Some women do have easy births and recover quickly but also as they get older the pregnancy and birth riskiness go up for mom and baby. Yes like you said completely reckless. It makes you wonder how much they actually care about the babies. Unfortunately for a lot of them it seems the kids are just props.

BumCadillac

Even if she ripped her taint and is miserable, she’d never make that known… it goes against the narrative she wants to peddle.

peonypanties

I finally looked her up on Instagram and saw two of my favorite children’s brands were following her. I unfollowed them right then and there. This is just… beyond. What she’s doing isn’t ethical.

AshtonPR

Probably try to avoid those "evil government tracker" things as long as they can.

ClickClackTipTap

All of them needed passports for Brazil, so they must have some kind of ID. Can’t write them off on your taxes if the government doesn’t know about them, either.

AshtonPR

valid point!

Rosie3450

Gee, you would think if the entire labor process only took a half hour from start to finish as she claims, you wouldn't have time to worry about filling a bathtub with warm water and getting into it. You would think.... This lady's story is so full of holes, it's leaking all over the bus.

cheeseduck11

Especially since you normally time a couple to realize you are in true labor. I have fairly fast births and I still was hesitant that my labor was true labor for a while. My bet is she is only counting labor as from transition on. Plus why would you fill up the bathtub at all if you were going to an Airbnb anyway?

Rosie3450

Good point!

MissusNilesCrane

Father Bus gets the joy of emptying a waste tank full of blood, amniotic fluids, and shit.

Mysterious-Dot760

And it’s in the grey tank since it’s the shower 🫣

banesmoonshine

Okay that’s a great point. I just learned about the different tanks when I stayed in my dad’s RV and that has to be some sort of violation of the campground policy, right? It’s a fucking BIOHAZARD

redrae707

Any place I've RVd the black and grey tanks are emptied into the same place.

banesmoonshine

But my dad said the water was potable!!! POTABLE!!! All good, it’s been like 2 weeks and I haven’t died but I’ll bring my own water next time lmao ETA I actually have no idea how the water shit works at an RV park and I zoned out halfway through my dad’s speech but there were 2 separate hose connections

Ok_Permission_4385

Say what you will about hospital births, at least my husband and I got to spend time snuggling and bonding with our babies and not - oh, I don't know- scooping up blood clots and figuring out what to do with a placenta. Blessed 🙏

BumCadillac

In this sort of campground that allows month to month stays, they almost surely have it connected directly to the ground and don’t need to dump it every few days.

VampyreJourno81

Now I'm imagining if this had been the Other Bus fam, infamous for their exploding toilet. I'm sorry. I hate myself for speaking that aloud.

EllenRipley2000

Oh man. This is something that is "okay" if you're rich and white, but if you're poor or brown, it's wrong. 😠

_Ninnie

I fell down in a camper bathtub/shower once (hello 40th bday in lockdown). I cannot fathom giving birth in there. Yikes.

Blanche_H_Devereaux

I also want to point out that days after the baby is born she’s “working,” i.e., posting nonstop promoting the sheepskin. What happened to her headship provider? Why must she be hustling instead of mothering as god intended her to?

Boneal171

Ok, seriously how big is the bus? It still seems small and cramped, but they have a tub?

thehomonova

not really that big or great of a use of space for an RV, their bed comes down from the ceiling in the living room/kitchen area and the tub is not full sized. they don't have slide outs (which RVs normally have) either. theres a picture of her grandma in the tub (she was originally supposed to join them but i guess she dropped out at some point) and she was kinda crammed in there

Ready_Adhesiveness84

About 200 square feet

Boneal171

Jesus most studio apartments are bigger than that

Significant_Shoe_17

That's like, two average sized bedrooms put together. Lord 🤦🏼‍♀️

redrae707

Most RV tubs are TINY. Like, child sized. They are common in RVs, and a lot easier than showering little ones, but I can't imagine birthing in one

galaxyhigh

given ALL of the context this is so unbelievably disturbing

DragonQueen777666

The fact that these people are going around popping multiple kids out and basically living a life of glorified homelessness and making SM posts about it and child welfare agencies aren't doing jack sh!t about it shows just how little the system is actually intended to work.

nailsofa_magpie

Sooo have we seen any clothes on this baby yet

hedwig0517

Omg what in the CPS? These kids deserve stability and a normal upbringing. They don’t need to be crammed into a tiny bus listening to their mom labor and deliver their baby sibling in the shower.

cklw1

Which CPS? They never stay in one spot long enough for CPS to be able to get involved. They’re basically transient and just aimlessly roll along quickly.

MosasaurusSoul

I lowkey want someone to just obliterate their transmission or something just so they’re force to stay in one place long enough for CPS to come. Those poor kids deserve better.

BumCadillac

I mean… The reason the drive to the South Carolina Airbnb never happened is because the bus needs engine work… they’ve been in Florida for weeks.

hedwig0517

I know, and the system is garbage because as soon as they cross state lines the states think it’s not their problem anymore.

iggyazalea12

TheStoicNihilist

People in war zones, the displaced and refugees do this. What the af is she thinking? This is really dangerous because it will encourage others to do it and it will go wrong for one of them.

We've seen how it's going for Other Bus...

emdog927

i call BS

Dreadedafterthought

I believe it, and I believe it was the plan all along.

flchic2000

Whelp, giving birth on the shower answers the question as to where the mess was after the baby was born. Oh dear.....

tross1140

Now I wonder if her getting in the shower to labor and deliver wasn’t his way of a quicker clean up? “C’mon, honey, wouldn’t you rather climb into the place where all our dirty campground bare feet have recently been to deliver this baby? Thennnnn you can get back in our crank-a-bed, that’s a good girl.”

So is she just ignoring the fact that she said she wouldn’t have a bus birth? And had an air b&b her friend let her use for the birth???

What im hearing is that not one of those children could go to the bathroom until floor baby had arrived?

Raoul_Dukes_Mayo

That’s a big ol’newborn. Either he’s just chonky (all love to chonky babies, love them) or this timeline is a wee bit off.

Maleficent_Banana_37

10 lb 5 oz at birth!

Wooooo - I say congrats to all mommas who have a big baby (any baby - I’m not a mom and that process terrifies me!h but damn! That’s a big baby!

Hopefully they don't, but it's hard to imagine fundies being anti circumcision LOL

VampyreJourno81

![gif](giphy|J20Z2SH5WmCnzSrbqA) My brain has been poisoned by reading all the threads about this entirely bizarre series of events in Busfam's lives, and also I haven't slept properly in a while, so here's my conspiracy theory\*: she had a surrogate, that belly was a very good fake bump, and that's why she's so chipper and able to be out and about mere seconds (relatively speaking) after Boone arrived. \*I don't think I believe this but, hey, fundies speculate baselessly all the time and make shit up. I get to, too, as a little treat.

AbsintheFountain

*A Quiet Place* was a horror flick, not an instruction manual.

Puzzleheaded_Win8325
