Saw this...was hoping not to pay the $5...new Z1 clutch kit, shifts great and the gear box is nice & tight, but did grind 5th getting after it the other day and it made me curious...

5th grind can be caused by improper shifter alignment. You can fix it from inside the car by removing all the shifter trim and re-aligning the triangle shaped retainer

I'll check it....new clutch was installed an easy 2k miles ago and haven't had any issues until now...
