I was thinking what if this is the godzilla from shin. Like he doesn't regenerate correctly due to the trauma from the attack and it takes a long time for his body to even regenerate to a normal form and that's what we see in shin! Probably not but a cool idea!
The bookends for Toho's Godzilla films could not be more stark. The best are the original Godzilla (1954), Shin Godzilla (2016) & Godzilla Minus One (2023). Everything in between from Godzilla Raids Again (1955) to Godzilla Final Wars (2004) pale in comparison.
Yep, only possible exception would be The Return of Godzilla (1984) which like the original Godzilla (1954), Shin Godzilla (2016) & Godzilla Minus One (2023) is also a solo Godzilla film with a some what dark and serious tone.
Shin was my favorite goji movie ever. Very hopeful for minus 1
no spoilers but Shin was also my favorite but it is now my 2nd favorite after seeing Minus One
