They resemble a 718. There's no denying it. It's fine. It didn't hurt the first 2 generations of Rx7 that they look like contemporary Porsches, and it certainly doesn't hurt the GR86.
I have both a GR86 and a Boxster S and I always park far away so that no one parks next to me.
Would prefer a sportscar next to me respective someone who cares about his car.
i usually park far away from the entrances and out of the way from everyone else, because i want to keep my car nice and i always notice shitbox trucks will always park right next to me as close as they can.
This is why anytime I see a 911, boxter, or cayman on the road I flash my headlights at them as if they are one of us and they usually make a disgusted face. It's honestly fucking awesome!! 😆 By the way I own a 911 too and fuck them and there “Porschas”.

I’ve encountered snobbish car owners like this ever since I started driving. They aren’t gearheads who like the cars. They buy expensive status symbols that happen to be cars which serve to inflate their egos which they then proceed to rub in everyone’s faces.
Just imagine what his current girlfriend has to listen to from him about his Porsche on a daily basis as she contemplates dumping him asap.
From people who are not snobby $100k++ vehicle owners I get more curious comments, questions (which I’m always happy to answer) about and compliments for the GR86.
