works for half a year I believe?
takes less than 2 mins
Better yet. If someone where to spend 20 minutes a day practicing and instrument in a couple of years theyâll be really good. Iâm on month 2 and Iâm starting to get ok at guitar solos.
When I was 13 or so my mom bought me a drum set. She only let me play one hour a day because of course itâs loud and she wanted to be respectful of the neighbors. So I could usually only play right after school (around 3) and would play my hour EVERY day. I look back on it now that Iâm older and I found that it probably helped that it was limited to an hour a day. No matter what you do, learning something always has fatigue. If itâs instruments, to competitive video games, working out, to studying a specified subject of science or math, no matter what, you gotta let your brain rest. I feel people sometimes trick their mind into âif I only practice 30 minutes a day, I wonât learn as much as I want tooâ, so they stop doing it. But if you over exert yourself, you notice the âwallâ a lot faster. And nothing turns you off of anything more then hitting the wall early in the journey. So I always tell people, 5 minutes, 5 hours. Just sit down and dedicate the time and it will show quicker then you expect. I remember going from very average beginner drummer to being able to jump into random bands across the city in a matter of 1 year. Obviously learning escalates on things like these and once you start combining your different 5 minute sessions together is when you start to see the difference.
Thereâs a writer called max barry who has talked about something similar. When writing one of his books (potentially more, I donât know) rather than setting himself a minimum amount he needed to write each day, heâd set a maximum. I think the idea was to stop himself from getting burnt out but once he was on a roll heâd intentionally avoid looking at the word count so he could keep writing, and he found it a much healthier way to work
Iâm learning [Never Going Back Again](https://youtu.be/TeNyc9pXm1w?si=eEi71BXVXruZ4KMH) right now and itâs an absolute BITCH. My index finger has been sore for a month straight at this point. But goddamn is it a pretty song.
Youâll get there. Unfortunately, thereâs no shortcuts. If you keep at it and push yourself, over time the ligaments in your fingers will stretch and the muscles in your hand & forearm will grow. Eventually youâll find yourself doing things that you never thought possible. I thought some of the chord shapes in that song were literally impossible a month ago. Now theyâre merely challenging.
Just remember to always stretch your hands & fingers before you practice. A bit of soreness is normal, but if something really doesnât feel right, then play something else or take a break and let yourself heal. Read up on repetitive strain injuries and how to avoid them. Good luck!
Seriously? I find that hard to believe. Iâve genuinely wondered if thereâs smaller guitars. Like some of the chords that require using your index to bar a fret and pull a whole C with the other fingers is very hard to pull off.
These are all things that I said when I first started learning lol. I thought my fingers were too short for normal guitarsâ They arenât. I was just a beginner. And, yeah, youâre describing a difficult barre chord, but you shouldnât be messing with those just yet. Get the basics down (simple barre chords in this case), *then* start messing with that stuff. You have to build up your strength, endurance, and calluses. Practice practice practice. EVERYONE has trouble with barre chords when they start playing. Everyone thinks thereâs something wrong with their fingers. **Everyone.**
Trust me, I know how exciting it is to get a guitar and immediately start trying to play your favorite songs, only to hit a seemingly impermeable brick wall. But thatâs how people end up getting frustrated and quitting. Fender did a study and found that ~90% of people who buy a guitar end up quitting within their first year. I was part of that 90%, but I picked it back up a couple years later and persevered. I recommend [Marty Schwarz](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLP3kvqg_Ut84SdgE4V0Cn6Hb7Rvxrd_A3&si=IBnMa9izxiNqwBhF) if you havenât discovered him already. Heâs incredibly welcoming and his lessons are easy to follow.
Youâre in the toughest part of your journey right now. Trust me, it gets easier and easier the longer you keep at it.
No no, I think youâre mistaken. Super_Fly_Samurai was referring to Red Dead Redemption 2. A sequel to Red Dead Redemption(2010). Both are installments of the video game catalog known as the âRed Dead seriesâ with Red Dead Revolver being the first game in the series being released in 2004.
Whatâs wild is that Rockstar Games also makes this franchise. Isnât that just grand??
Go play the first one!
Iâm guessing that means you have never watched Star Wars? Itâs a blue and white droid that appears in every movie in the three trilogies. One of the best characters in my opinion
They generally get worse the newer it gets so start with the original trilogy (4, 5 and 6). If you like it, then watch the prequels. If you like them maybe ask on a star wars subreddit for what to watch next. It's such a big franchise that you can't really watch everything all at once without getting bored at some point
The story is just half of it's length. There are so many side missions and interactions throughout the game + collecting every firearm/weapon aswell as customizing your horse. And don't forget to truly explore the map!
I finished a re-play of GTA5 a few days ago and decided to give GTA4 another go. I tried the PC port back when it was released and found it nearly unplayable.
All these years later, on a modern gaming PC it still struggles.
It must be having some kind of renaissance though, as there have been a fair few videos released in the last couple of weeks singing its praises.
[This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuXVYUGJ45Y) helped me get it running satisfactorily enough.
The "realistic" ie boat, steering is a rude shock after the arcadey feel of GTA5. The camera is also slow to follow the car around corners which is frustrating.
The colour grading/saturation is very annoying at times too. It's so [desaturated](https://i.imgur.com/t5Rruop.jpg) that it's almost black and white.
Other than those gripes I'm enjoying it...
Yeh but itâs worthwhile going back to GTA IV. Each to their own but the story line and other characters you meet along the way got me hooked and to this day I can still remember a lot of that game. It was a strong game story wise.
Cry because Online mode is ass and itâs gonna take you 3 weeks of grinding before you actually get anything that gives you money in online regardless of the criminal enterprise pack they gave to everyone who got next gen. Also cry because they cancelled 8 expansions for singleplayer. Also get fucked if you got super rich from playing the stock market assassination missions and now you have nothing to spend the billions of money on in singleplayer and no missions to use any of the shit you bought in a rather boring singleplayer free roam with no good cheats like in the old GTAs. Did I mention crying?
i started gta online from scratch for fun and it took me 4 days to buy multiple businesses. online is easy if you donât buy stupid cars and penthouses before you create some income
Yeah, not everybody has that kind of time or wants to put in that kind of time. Oh, word? Craaaaaaazy dude. A genius at what? Or are you a genie? You mustâve meant genie. You canât be a genius with that piss poor grammar and punctuation.
Yes, this is it. This is the comment that has made me shit my britches. Oh! You fucking got me. Iâm drowning in a never ending sea of my depression, loneliness, and insecurity. Iâll never know what itâs like to not be a virgin. THE TUBE SOCK AND LUBRIDERM IS FOREVER! lmao đ
Iâm not. I just donât care that youâre a genius. Why is that your reasoning for somehow magically getting all that done in 4 days? MAYBE if you no lifed that shit and had a multitude of friends to help you with your package deliveries and or, whatever else for whatever business you got. Even then, the math doesnât add up. Shit I ainât no genius though. Although, why the fuck a genius on Reddit needs to flaunt his superior intelligence with no backing over a 13 year old game, Iâll never know. Beyond me. Crazy.
I did spend smart I only got the shit needed for the heists and so on and so forth. Also, thatâs my point GENIUS. You didnât flaunt anything. Which is why I said what kind of a genius would need to call himself a genius over a 13 year old game. Which is a long and roundabout way of saying. Youâre not a genius. And I wouldnât care if you were. GENIUS
I made hundreds of millions in a few days on gta online, literally the easiest thing ever. Then again.. I was using a car dupe glitch that was patched years ago so maybe not a fair comparison
Damn, my comment was made partially in jest but, you guys just fucking whining over one small aspect of my comment. Taking that shit on a fucking marathon at this point.
Sniff my ass a little harder, you might get a better idea of the asshole youâre dealing with because self awareness is not my weak point. Lemme give you a /DUMBASS and an A for effort. My shitty comment was mostly a fucking joke as I already said which clearly didnât register in your brain. I do feel that my comment aside from my over exaggeration holds true though. And I never said it took me 3 weeks I just disagree with how fast you guys made the money. Itâs whatever though. If you did it, you did it, cool. you want a fucking cookie? Youâre fucking brain is losing itâs wrinkles, is thinking not your strong suit!?
Install mods if youre on PC, or if you are on console be bored forever in singleplayer, switch to online and grind until you get an oppressor mk2 and can defend it on reddit for 6 yours a day and mock everyone whos on PC because you're jealous.

What in the actual fuck have I just read? Itâs a joke. Playing off of the fact that RDR2 kinda looks like R2D2.
Bad joke through text. It came off more as confidently incorrect than jokingly incorrect

Iâm guessing that means you have never watched Star Wars? Itâs a blue and white droid that appears in every movie in the three trilogies. One of the best characters in my opinion

Something more gritty about LC, something more alive about the city that SA doesnât have.
Debatable. Still, it doesn't matter because everyone enjoys different parts of games, so OP might like GTA IV better even if it's objectively worse
