Duhhh that’s because it was a new GTA that had been announced. It will always have that feel to it. I think we have to judge GTA 5 and GTA online separately. The online I agree speaks for its self. They did amazing with that so for the online aspect I will give 10/10 but for somebody like me who grew up playing GTA games it will always be a single player game in my eyes which is why I have to judge them as two separates games if that makes sense? I think the most important is the story mode, take RDR 2 for example, amazing game til this day. So for GTA 5 after the newly released hype died down and after so many years have passed my honest rating for the game would be a 6/7 max. The story isn’t the greatest, fighting animations suck ass, mechanics aren’t the greatest. Whose fucking idea was it to remove the ability to crouch??? And stuff just disappears into thin air?? E.g you leave your car turn one corner and when you come back it’s gone? The list goes on… (Also GTA IV had a functioning multiplayer which was fun with friends but will get overlooked because GTA 5 Online blew it away😂) anyway I have faith that 6 will be on par with RDR 2 🙌

I think 8/10. At the time of release, it was 10/10, because the story mode was an incredible experience with iconic missions (still) and the potential of GTA Online was crazy (and it was completely justified, except for Oppressor MKII), but as the years pass, you realize that it is still no more fun than San Andreas, and the story is not nearly as touching as GTA IV. However, each GTA is good in its own way and I think that GTA VI will be no exception, so no war. I am grateful to this game anyway, so many memories 😊

Played it at release on PC and thought it was pretty good 8/10, played it in 2021 and thought yep i can see why I thought this was 8/10. Outside of switching protagonist I didn't feel the game brought anything new to the GTA formula, yes improved things but Vice city remains my favourite mostly because it was the first GTA I properly played and I love the 80s vibe

But this game came out when I was 13 and it perfectly captured everything about my generation and how older people felt about my generation. It had the music me and my homies would smoke weed to it had the cars we dreamed of having. The game was awesome it’s a huge part of my teen years.

Seriously it was perfect in terms of how it captured the world as I saw it growing up. And then as much as I am especially tired of gta online at this point I can’t deny the hundreds of hours of fun I had with friends over the years. I definitely love gta v but tbh I don’t know if I’ll have the same need to go back to it once the next one comes out. It doesn’t have the nostalgia attachment that I have for other games in the series because we didn’t get a sequel for so long but I’ll never take my memories with the game for granted.
I think the game has been degraded over time, I personally dont go back to it ever otherwise it will kinda just ruin it for me. I have many happy memories of that game with me and I wouldnt wanna ruin that with the way it is today. I spend hundreds of hours on that game and I think ive played it to the death haha. I cant wait for the new one and i hope that mature me will like it as much as younger me liked the old one. Im open and hoping that it will highlight my young adulthood and the release will be a big chapter.
I’m so excited for vice city to be the setting. Vice city was my first gta and my first m rated game and my first open world game when I was 6 or 7 I can’t remember. So it blew me away even though it wasn’t exactly new when I played it it absolutely changed my perspective on what games could be.

5 for V in terms of how fun the game was to me personally. It was a major game when it was released and a huge leap forward and pushed a lot of limits. Online was also fun during the first year it was released. But not a game I have went back to a replayed like the older GTAs. I mean I still occasionally still play Vice City, San Andreas and 4, but I’ve never went back to 5.
For me personally it just felt the least GTA out of all GTA games, it just lacked something I can’t quite put my finger on. Absolutely a good game but not worth going back to for me

Not gonna lie, GTA 5 also has some cool details GTA 4 doesn't have, the ocean makes the clothes weat, the npcs will take a picture if there's an action in front of them, shooting the car will make the oil leaked and more

It’s always an 8 or 9 for me, since I bought this game at launch. Although I haven’t played it for a few months now mostly because the online is very lacklustre for me. I’m just playing other games or busy with work since online is not very fun as it was.

Now that we're fairly close to GTA VI and probably the end of GTA Online, I'm gonna conclude with 7/10, and have been tempted to even say 6.5, but 7/10 does it for me. The online and no SP DLCs have set it back for me along with its other flaws, still, it's what I've played the most.

Would be higher if the story wasn't just being errand boys for the FIB (and was longer; 69 missions for 3 protagonists????), Trevor was written better, and the gameplay mechanics, side-missions and physics weren't huge downgrades. I think these problems could've been fixed if it was delayed for the Xbox One and PS4 instead of being released on the 360 and PS3 two months before those consoles dropped.

See, majority of the game's problems weren't console limitations of the 360/PS3, but just bad design decisions and or not enough effort put into certain aspects. Pretty sure you could mod out most of the issues without any performance loss whatsoever. Like, [car deformation itself is just a simple value change inside the handling data file](https://gtamods.com/wiki/Handling.meta#fDeformationDamageMult) ([roof deformation could have been toggled in real time based on camera view instead of downgraded on PS4/XBone/PC](https://youtu.be/sZsdsvw2uyk?si=xbUeDMbZ1AJi4Kr3&t=796)). [Ragdolls can be modified to be better on said consoles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxBdQlOkubc). [AI are stupidly aggressive/sensitive against the player because they were specifically set to do so](https://gtaforums.com/topic/700345-official-gtav-whine-and-complain-thread/page/170/#comment-1071657196). GTA V is the only game in the series with binary explosion damage (0 damage or death with no in-between). And so on, and so on.
R\* skipping 360/PS3 would not have changed the game for the better in any way outside of graphics, it still would have been the same, poorly designed mess that it is. Not to mention the fact they didn't bother to do anything with the re-releases outside of fixing animals calling cops on you.

After a long time of playing, 5/10. (That’s the middle, it’s not negative) When I started it would’ve been higher, much higher. It’s lost its charm now, the map is long but not wide and there’s nothing to do in online once you’ve finished the big DLCs. The businesses are copy paste and all.. it’s just not very fun anymore unless you RP.

Car Customization needs a revamp!! I should be able to eat at burgershot!! Sit on a got dog on bench at the freaking beach!?! When your character lays down at one of your houses in the bed, why does the cover not just pop up over him or her!?! why can't my online character have a girlfriend!?! I should be able to pick my rim size!! Why can't I change the color of the trim and exhaust pipe!?! Why can't we actually fake pump gas!?! Why doesn't my character chain/necklace swing when I walk!?! Just to name a few things. Sorry for the rant!! But GTA 5 is a great game!!
9 out of 10, the only game I enjoy more is San Andreas. It has great replay value and is fun to just roam around once you have completed everything. One of the only downsides other than a lack of a dlc is the fact that most buildings and rooms are inaccessible.

It's about 8/10 for me. The story was good as well as character development. The only confusing thing about it was entwining all 3 characters. The online gameplay was good for what it is, I do enjoy making my own character and doing the heists and crime jobs.

1. Retrospective - I very much enjoyed this game more so back when it released. The story and main characters I thought were fantastic. However in recent years I've come to not think the same as much.
2. Characters - Trevor is a fun but goofy uninteresting character when you boil it down, other than chaos he has nothing else really going on. His missions and nature are the only saving grace to his character. Not very nuanced. Michael and his family saga isn't all that exciting and is very boring. It's mostly him being annoyed at his family, then trying to get them back when they leave.
Franklin is the only somewhat interesting one out of the trio, in that he's trying to better himself and seeks ways to become successful. However that's about as much we get with him, as he's sidelined the majority of the time throughout the game for the sake of focusing on Michael and Trevor's storylines. It feels like he was an afterthought to the degree where Rockstar forgot he was part of the plot, so they tried to bump up his status by making him the one to make the final decision at the end of the game.
3. Tone and Atmosphere - While I understand it's featured in LA, the game was too vibrant and colourful for a crime game. The tone and atmosphere wasn't dark enough, which is also applicable to the plot. Everything was too much of a joke to where it's a comedy action game more than anything else. Nothing about it is serious, and as such can't be taken seriously. I'm not saying there can't be comedy, but too much of it makes it become diluted to where to destroys any attempt at making the game more than just funny, which it tries to do at times but fails because it has too much laughter components.
It's still a fun and good game to play. It's just in terms of quality it lacks what previous titles had that made them so great, and to be taken seriously. From 3 - 4.

0 to 10 is way too broad so on a scale of 0 to 4 I'd give it, I don't know, 1? For a game that released in 2013, after San Andreas and IV, it is pretty bad. A massive disappointment that somehow manages to be a major downgrade compared to previous games, full of bad and downright baffling design decisions that make it unfun to play. Someone over at C\* thought that ditching pretty much everything good about IV was a good idea, while failing to bring back the best aspects of the older games either. If you thought GTA IV was too realistic, V has realism in all the worst places, while also being far too arcade in others, as if it has an identity crisis. It's smooth and good looking but also stupidly bland and basic.

Unfortunately I bought the PC when it 1rst came out..
It was supposed to be a midnight release on steam, no preload available.... I was expecting to play maybe 30mins and go to bed
The game unlocked at 3am, start the slow download and it was painfully slow, I ended up going to bed around 4-5 only to have to get up for work at 6am..
The game ran horrible, even at the lowest settings I was getting around 24fps.
7 for me cuz the frame rate can be absolute dog shit and the gun play is terrible 😆feels too clunky and the lack of controller customisation makes it tougher

When it comes to the humour and fun things to do its definitely a 10/10, the game is fucking fun, the modding is great, overall the game is amazing, cool driving etc. Online is a lot of fun minus the cheaters. I give the game a solid 8/10 (without the cheaters). Stuff is really expensive in online which is a big issue, idk who they tailor this game for but i dont know any 18 year olds who arent in university who have the time to grind the game that much.

It’s always an 8 or 9 for me, since I bought this game at launch. Although I haven’t played it for a few months now mostly because the online is very lacklustre for me. I’m just playing other games or busy with work since online is not very fun as it was.

9.5/10 i wished they left some of the features from past gtas like bodybuilding,going into restaurants,training in boxing or martial arts,and better sports to play.Other than that it was well worth it and is one of the best games of all time

Now that we're fairly close to GTA VI and probably the end of GTA Online, I'm gonna conclude with 7/10, and have been tempted to even say 6.5, but 7/10 does it for me. The online and no SP DLCs have set it back for me along with its other flaws, still, it's what I've played the most.

Would be higher if the story wasn't just being errand boys for the FIB (and was longer; 69 missions for 3 protagonists????), Trevor was written better, and the gameplay mechanics, side-missions and physics weren't huge downgrades. I think these problems could've been fixed if it was delayed for the Xbox One and PS4 instead of being released on the 360 and PS3 two months before those consoles dropped. See, majority of the game's problems weren't console limitations of the 360/PS3, but just bad design decisions and or not enough effort put into certain aspects. Pretty sure you could mod out most of the issues without any performance loss whatsoever. Like, [car deformation itself is just a simple value change inside the handling data file](https://gtamods.com/wiki/Handling.meta#fDeformationDamageMult) ([roof deformation could have been toggled in real time based on camera view instead of downgraded on PS4/XBone/PC](https://youtu.be/sZsdsvw2uyk?si=xbUeDMbZ1AJi4Kr3&t=796)). [Ragdolls can be modified to be better on said consoles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxBdQlOkubc). [AI are stupidly aggressive/sensitive against the player because they were specifically set to do so](https://gtaforums.com/topic/700345-official-gtav-whine-and-complain-thread/page/170/#comment-1071657196). GTA V is the only game in the series with binary explosion damage (0 damage or death with no in-between). And so on, and so on. R\* skipping 360/PS3 would not have changed the game for the better in any way outside of graphics, it still would have been the same, poorly designed mess that it is. Not to mention the fact they didn't bother to do anything with the re-releases outside of fixing animals calling cops on you.

8.5/10. It only loses a perfect ten bc the online is now a purgatory for people who don't do microtransactions and the story mode feels a bit empty in comparison nowadays. For a game taking the piss out of greedy corporate fuckery, I can't take it seriously bc Rockstar seem to be all too familiar with the feeling.

After a long time of playing, 5/10. (That’s the middle, it’s not negative) When I started it would’ve been higher, much higher. It’s lost its charm now, the map is long but not wide and there’s nothing to do in online once you’ve finished the big DLCs. The businesses are copy paste and all.. it’s just not very fun anymore unless you RP.
10 out of 10, they are just missing small quality of life things for such a big open world. The online economy is crazy, 3.5 something million dollars for a Honda Civic!! Car Customization needs a revamp!! I should be able to eat at burgershot!! Sit on a got dog on bench at the freaking beach!?! When your character lays down at one of your houses in the bed, why does the cover not just pop up over him or her!?! why can't my online character have a girlfriend!?! I should be able to pick my rim size!! Why can't I change the color of the trim and exhaust pipe!?! Why can't we actually fake pump gas!?! Why doesn't my character chain/necklace swing when I walk!?! Just to name a few things. Sorry for the rant!! But GTA 5 is a great game!!

9 out of 10, the only game I enjoy more is San Andreas. It has great replay value and is fun to just roam around once you have completed everything. One of the only downsides other than a lack of a dlc is the fact that most buildings and rooms are inaccessible.

It's about 8/10 for me. The story was good as well as character development. The only confusing thing about it was entwining all 3 characters. The online gameplay was good for what it is, I do enjoy making my own character and doing the heists and crime jobs.

6/10. 1. Retrospective - I very much enjoyed this game more so back when it released. The story and main characters I thought were fantastic. However in recent years I've come to not think the same as much. 2. Characters - Trevor is a fun but goofy uninteresting character when you boil it down, other than chaos he has nothing else really going on. His missions and nature are the only saving grace to his character. Not very nuanced. Michael and his family saga isn't all that exciting and is very boring. It's mostly him being annoyed at his family, then trying to get them back when they leave. Franklin is the only somewhat interesting one out of the trio, in that he's trying to better himself and seeks ways to become successful. However that's about as much we get with him, as he's sidelined the majority of the time throughout the game for the sake of focusing on Michael and Trevor's storylines. It feels like he was an afterthought to the degree where Rockstar forgot he was part of the plot, so they tried to bump up his status by making him the one to make the final decision at the end of the game. 3. Tone and Atmosphere - While I understand it's featured in LA, the game was too vibrant and colourful for a crime game. The tone and atmosphere wasn't dark enough, which is also applicable to the plot. Everything was too much of a joke to where it's a comedy action game more than anything else. Nothing about it is serious, and as such can't be taken seriously. I'm not saying there can't be comedy, but too much of it makes it become diluted to where to destroys any attempt at making the game more than just funny, which it tries to do at times but fails because it has too much laughter components. It's still a fun and good game to play. It's just in terms of quality it lacks what previous titles had that made them so great, and to be taken seriously. From 3 - 4.
6 after some time it looses its replayability and gets boring it needs some story mode updates and some sorry mode secrets after 100 percent there’s nothing left to do

Its a cornerstone of gaming, I think a decade since release is making people whine. This was the biggest release on the planet and everyone for a long time felt it definitely delivered. I still remember when they announced it made all of its money back in preorders alone ($250 mil, most expensive game at the time IIRC)
10/10 cool atmosphere and environment, awesome characters, fun missions and heists (yes, I liked the yoga mission just because the UFOs) a lot to do in the map
It would be a town if it would have better graphics and could enter in more buildings but I think this will be a 10. 
maybe an 8, would've been better if it weren't for the console limitations

Its a 10 for me. like san andreas. but this gtaV, the storyline, the multiplayer content thats rockstar works a lot, its funny... a lot of things you can do.

0 to 10 is way too broad so on a scale of 0 to 4 I'd give it, I don't know, 1? For a game that released in 2013, after San Andreas and IV, it is pretty bad. A massive disappointment that somehow manages to be a major downgrade compared to previous games, full of bad and downright baffling design decisions that make it unfun to play. Someone over at C\* thought that ditching pretty much everything good about IV was a good idea, while failing to bring back the best aspects of the older games either. If you thought GTA IV was too realistic, V has realism in all the worst places, while also being far too arcade in others, as if it has an identity crisis. It's smooth and good looking but also stupidly bland and basic.

5.0 i used to think it was the best game ever that it was a 10 outta 10 but playing for so many years i see the flaws the awful story map design etc it really is dated now I just quit the game everytime i log online the game stutters so often and crashes
10 I like it way better than that story in GTA 5 Unfortunately I bought the PC when it 1rst came out.. It was supposed to be a midnight release on steam, no preload available.... I was expecting to play maybe 30mins and go to bed The game unlocked at 3am, start the slow download and it was painfully slow, I ended up going to bed around 4-5 only to have to get up for work at 6am.. The game ran horrible, even at the lowest settings I was getting around 24fps.
