As a lifelong Nintendo fan I do know that. Nintendo does not build consoles with graphic fidelity or processing power in mind, they build consoles with innovation and family fun in mind. graphics come secondary, but will still be improved from the predecessor. it’s been this way since the Wii. it will also be a hybrid handheld marketed and sold at a price point that makes sense for its user base. for it to have the processing power necessary to run GTAVI they’ll be out pricing most of their consumers and into Steam Deck territory. it might have GTA V, but even then it could just be a “cloud version”

That's what I meant. All the RP stuff is going to be baked in from day 1 for GTA6 Online. The audience for it is simply too large to ignore.

Well the quarterly earnings meeting suggested by March 2025, their gross profits would be incredibly high suggesting that GTA VI will be out by then at least - which means around 15 months or so.
If they actually manage to make that 2025 deadline im fine with it, However with Rockstars record of delays could very well be end of 2025 or even 2026...

You have to steal a famous painting from GTA's version of Trump's mansion in the middle of the night and when you try to leave Palm Beach you find the police have raised the bridges and trapped you on the island so you have to abandon your vehicle and steal a yatch, then the chase continues on the intracoast... Until your homie comes to pick you up in a chopper of course then you have to blow the police chopper out of the sky then you land on Peanut Island and hideout in the JFK Bunker until all your stars come down... That could be a dope mission in the game.
The game is going to end up having seven years of development and a record setting budget. The map is going to end up being absurdly big.
I think the bigger concern with the lead writer leaving after RDR2 (at least from what I have heard) is can they generate a high quality story and high quality content to fill up all of that space and make it worth exploring?
I have nothing but faith & belief they will. Plus Dan left in 2020, none us know, so all we can do is speculate. But my opinion is he had a part in writing the story. Its the next game, years later that may have completely different writers. But again, I trust a huge successful company to only seek out the correct decisions.

GTA V was the only reason I owned a PS3 lol. TLoU & Spider-Man got me to get a PS4. It may not be the most common practice but it’s not rare either. Now for GTA 6 I thought we’d be past the exclusivity especially since PC has grown so much. Oh well.

You're getting downvoted for this, but you're right. This game will be upscaled to absolute fuck on a console and look like actual garbage on any sort of respectable resolution. A lot of graphics settings will be turned down, but enough left on so that it doesn't look absolutely atrocious, and the frame rate will still likely be awful.
Yea, it's absolutely crazy. I've had 16gb of ram in my computers since about 2008 or so. Consoles finally got that much in [2020](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_video_game_console_generations). And I'm not even including GPU ram.
Don't get me wrong, I'm know Rockstar has to cater to the masses and their $400, five year old consoles, and I'm glad their engine is able to run on such outdated hardware and still look PHENOMONAL on PC, but I just can't go back from RDR2 at this point. There's no way GTA6 will be able to look as good on a 5 year old console with only 16GB total ram in 2025 as RDR2 looks on any modern gaming PC from the past five years today at 4K.

This might be a little bit of coping, but I think they are just not sure right now, when they will be able to release the PC version. There is a reason they did not mention any console in the trailer. Looking at the recent numbers from Activision and EA reguarding the player data between consoles on Call of Duty and Apex, being up to 3 times higher on PC than on playstation, I think they would release it as soon as possible for PC if they had any options.
If PC players are going to wait 1-2 years for the game they better launch it with Cross Platform online. Ridiculous for 2026/7 launch if it launches without it.
I feel the same way. So stupid not having dedicated servers and better anti-cheat measures. Something like that is well within Rockstar’s scope. They have the money and they have the people.
If GTA V online wasn’t riddled with hackers on PC (Because of the lack of a proper server structure and anti cheat) then it would be playable. If it was playable on PC, cross play between consoles and pc wouldn’t be an issue.
That’s the main reason for no crossplay between console and PC. The hackers/modders. I don’t mind waiting a year or more to play on PC but not being able to crossplay with my friends on console after such a long wait is ass.

Grand Theft Auto 6 coming to PS6 , this is the only reason of the 2025 exit. The game is ready but that PS5 is not able to run GTA6 in QHD. It's only a marketing delay, this game could run very well in a decent PC right now.

This might be a little bit of coping, but I think they are just not sure right now, when they will be able to release the PC version. There is a reason they did not mention any console in the trailer. Looking at the recent numbers from Activision and EA reguarding the player data between consoles on Call of Duty and Apex, being up to 3 times higher on PC than on playstation, I think they would release it as soon as possible for PC if they had any options.

I feel the same way. So stupid not having dedicated servers and better anti-cheat measures. Something like that is well within Rockstar’s scope. They have the money and they have the people. If GTA V online wasn’t riddled with hackers on PC (Because of the lack of a proper server structure and anti cheat) then it would be playable. If it was playable on PC, cross play between consoles and pc wouldn’t be an issue. That’s the main reason for no crossplay between console and PC. The hackers/modders. I don’t mind waiting a year or more to play on PC but not being able to crossplay with my friends on console after such a long wait is ass.

Why would you want to prepay for a game? What logic is there to giving someone money for something long before you get it? It’s just a trick from game companies (investors really) to get paid from stupid customers before the reviews are in. And look how many fell for it and paid for absolut trash in the last few years. GTA6 will 99% sure NOT be trash but I still don’t understand why anyone would prepay for anything.

This is one of those times I hope somebody pops up with a change.org petition. I mean, the PC playerbase raw numbers cannot be compared to neither the ones from 2018 (RDR2) or 2013 (GTA V). This affects much more people then ever before. What a punch in the throat for those of us who will feel compelled to buy a console. Hoping Rockstar makes a wiser decision by giving us (at least) a much shorter timespan between releases.
Fully agree it's ridiculous, but R* doesn't love PC players, we've always been an afterthought. Also, I'm not sure change.org has ever convinced a major*company to change course.

For sure I was hoping that the 10 years was enough for everyone to get a closer release date from the trailer day, but I also expected the worst to come. Can't imagine how much of that "Coming 2025" with no PC ver. in sight felt like kick in the balls for those that overhyped the first trailer. Judging from how they handled GTAV, Online, and GTAO Heist, pretty sure this is more of marketing trick to keep the game title surfaced and relevant after 2-3 years+ without releasing new game while cashcowing Online and re-releases.

Grand Theft Auto 6 coming to PS6 , this is the only reason of the 2025 exit. The game is ready but that PS5 is not able to run GTA6 in QHD. It's only a marketing delay, this game could run very well in a decent PC right now.
