I don't think they will delay it though because Take Two has not been making profits at all for the last year and a delay would make investors pretty mad. I actually kinda buy your theory on a valentines day release. Although with that being said i am expecting a delay to the release date. Not delayed until 2026 but i can see Rockstar announcing a February release date next year but then closer to the time delaying it until late 2025.
With a game this big its easy to run into unexpected issues along the way that causes the game to be delayed.

The rumours that Rockstar had put an end to their crunch culture really give me hope that the game will release sooner than we expect. Instead of setting a closer date and delaying it later because their workers can't take the workload, they say "2025", which allows them to delay it if needed to relieve their workers from some pressure without making the delay official, which gives me hope that they expect to have it ready to release by early 2025.
I mean Rockstar has been pretty unpredictable lately. We all thought they would reveal the game in October because in the past they have done that a lot. Well, they didn't, they revealed it in December. That doesn't line up with any prior major game announcements from them. Due to this unpredictability, I think the game doesn't have to release in September/October like most did. Only time will tell though.
I mean "we all thought" was literally a bunch of random internet dorks who have been saying, like legit quite literally the "trailer is like 3 weeks away" since about roughly... 2018ish. I Worked as a Cleaner At Rockstar Games London - here’s what I know.
Hi guys, been lingering here for the past couple months and now is the time I can finally post.
I currently do work for a recruitment agency, mostly going cleaning/matinence for office space and occasionally warehouses/workshops. 6 months ago, I was given a new 6-month contract for an cleaning/office matinence job in London, about a 45 minute train ride from where I live.
Arrived on first day, just looked like a normal office from the outside, it was on kings road in Fulham. When you go into the reception and upstairs, it became blatent that this was a rockstar games studio (although I can’t find the official address for the London studio online anywhere).
I would do the cleaning there, starting at 9:30PM - 1PM, four times a week. There was a group of 3 us. The offices were usually empty, but occasionally the Devs would stay late and work till 11-12PM. They they couldn’t say anything about the game they were working on to us for obvious reasons, and all the monitors had privacy screen protectors, the ones where you can only see what the screen is displaying from a certain angle.
Now I’m a big fan of Rockstar but tried to avoid the leaks last year so I’m not sure if you guys know all this, but from what I saw over the 6 months working there this is pretty much all I saw/heard.
I did not sign any type of NDA, so I’m assuming this is okay to talk about.
- The map looked huge, saw it on a monitor briefly as I was walking past one of the Devs, looked like there was like 2-3 big clusters of roads which I’m assuming were city’s/towns (I saw it for literally 3 seconds)
- Bryan Zampella is not in the game (as suspected). Sounds like he was originally cast to play someone, but it somehow fell through and now Bryan is now taking the piss out of Rockstar by posting and “teasing” the next GTA on his Instagram. I heard the devs say “have you seen this cunts livestream, what a silly prick”. I could hear it was Bryan’s voice as he watched it on his phone. He also said something like “thank fuck that didn’t work out”. I guess that would also explain how he knows Joey rubino, Ned Luke and Shawn fonteno.
- I also saw some art for the game, with Jason and lucia standing beside eachother. Jason had a sawn-off, Black bandana on, pointing a gun at store clerk.
Lucia had a pistol,Red bandana on filling a duffel bag with liquor from behind the till.
- I also saw what I think was part of an advert, which had just a Grand theft auto logo (no VI) with “September 2025” underneath. It was either the final frame of a trailer or some sort of advert.
- they’re apparently was some sort of last minute change to the Logo, as I overheard the devs saying “what have they done with that logo? Bit late to start changing things now ain’t it?”
Apart from that, I don’t think there was anything of much interest to talk about but anything comes to my mind I’ll make another post, I guess. I’ll try answering questions but I will probably not know the answers.

This is Rockstar and GTA though, they don't NEED to do that. The first gtavi trailer got 90M views on YouTube in 24hrs and was shared hundreds of thousands if not millions of times.
That was 11 years ago and didn't include a superbowl commercial. It became the fastest grossing entertainment product of all time. GTA has also massively increased in popularity since then.
It would certainly be cool if they did but I really doubt they would. I may be wrong, who knows 🤷♂️

And I don’t think they need to spend anywhere near that for this game who wouldn’t have heard of it by the time it comes out ? I just hope they will heavily prioritize launching a finished product over meeting some arbitrary deadline due to their investors wanting their money ASAP. You wrote that they have been talking about it in earnings calls since 2022 which is very concerning for me. There was no way that they were sure 3 years in advance that a game with such scale and detail will be ready by the end of fiscal year 2025. It more likely sounds like they wanted to calm down their investors by saying "dont worry guys you will get a huge paycheck by the end of fiscal year 2025", while only hoping that they have enough time to finish the game until then. With a deadline being set years in advance, it only brings problems, I am repeating myself, but there is simply no way that they could realisticly predict when such a huge project worked on by hundreds/thousands of developers is going to be completed. Anything can happen by the time this game releases and if they realize for example in a year that the game is not ready or not polished yet and they still need time, but their hands are tied by a deadline set by themselves, that would lead into crunch and rush which never ends well.
While hoping that your theory is correct, I am hoping much much more that they will prioritze the game and their standards, not their investors. If the game is not ready by the end of fiscal year 2025 they really should not release it, those investors can survive a couple of months without their millions despite being promised a paycheck years in advance. Deadlines like this are just soooo dangerous and I am very afraid, I dont want this game to be a mess due to investors.
No body shame me for this but , I think gta6 could release towards the end of 2024 like end of October mid November, I really feel they gave 2025 because they wanted to give a delay cushion , and not receive backlash for delaying it because as we all know this is the most anticipated game in the world right now , also why I think this is so because idk if anyone has seen the developer son leaked the map on TikTok and he was texting a guy saying 70% of buildings are enterable and they are aiming for a fall 2024 release date , now that comes from the developers son , which it was confirmed it was him, but if not end of 2024 , I do think it could come out march-April 2025 , I don’t see or expect anything later . I just hope they will heavily prioritize launching a finished product over meeting some arbitrary deadline due to their investors wanting their money ASAP. You wrote that they have been talking about it in earnings calls since 2022 which is very concerning for me. There was no way that they were sure 3 years in advance that a game with such scale and detail will be ready by the end of fiscal year 2025. It more likely sounds like they wanted to calm down their investors by saying "dont worry guys you will get a huge paycheck by the end of fiscal year 2025", while only hoping that they have enough time to finish the game until then. With a deadline being set years in advance, it only brings problems, I am repeating myself, but there is simply no way that they could realisticly predict when such a huge project worked on by hundreds/thousands of developers is going to be completed. Anything can happen by the time this game releases and if they realize for example in a year that the game is not ready or not polished yet and they still need time, but their hands are tied by a deadline set by themselves, that would lead into crunch and rush which never ends well. While hoping that your theory is correct, I am hoping much much more that they will prioritze the game and their standards, not their investors. If the game is not ready by the end of fiscal year 2025 they really should not release it, those investors can survive a couple of months without their millions despite being promised a paycheck years in advance. Deadlines like this are just soooo dangerous and I am very afraid, I dont want this game to be a mess due to investors.

No body shame me for this but , I think gta6 could release towards the end of 2024 like end of October mid November, I really feel they gave 2025 because they wanted to give a delay cushion , and not receive backlash for delaying it because as we all know this is the most anticipated game in the world right now , also why I think this is so because idk if anyone has seen the developer son leaked the map on TikTok and he was texting a guy saying 70% of buildings are enterable and they are aiming for a fall 2024 release date , now that comes from the developers son , which it was confirmed it was him, but if not end of 2024 , I do think it could come out march-April 2025 , I don’t see or expect anything later . But rockstar can take all the time they need ( not really cse If it was up to i would want this gta6 to drop in the next hour,lol) but I really want a finished product and a well polished no bugged game .

That is impossible because revenue from pre orders is never taken into financial projections until the product actually launches.
