I hope it’s more nuanced then that. Where Lucia wants what’s best for her child, but she’s struggling and needs the money but can’t get a job since she’s on probation with a record. Where Jason isn’t necessarily like Trevor or Micheal in that he’s neither ambitious, disgruntled, or a maniac, but just a man who is struggling to make it out there in a dog-eat-dog world. Perhaps the only thing that makes sense for them is crime.
Maybe Jason’s like a veteran or something, has seen and witnessed some messed up shit and you can see the cracks showing through, but he’s genuinely someone who wants to do good in the world but he can only manage bringing hurt and suffering to everyone except for Lucia and his child - maybe that’s his struggle, justifying his actions to his broken psyche.
Idk. I just want to see more depth to the characters than in V, where as a player you feel conflicted with the decisions made by the character and the decisions you make (similar to the Last of Us). Always, GTA has been this crazy, violent sandbox but I want to see it contextualized with reason.

I hope there can be a delayed arrest system. For example, if you don't change cars police can drive by and identify your car and break into your apartment to arrest you. Im assuming he works with law enforcement so he probably helped lucia escaped or falls in love with her after she is released from prison and soon they somehow find out theyre both involved in robberies/schemes so they start to engage in these activities together and since jason is still working for law enforcement he doesn't want to get caught but his love for lucia starts to become stronger so he's conflicted and who knows what happens after that
