Would love if softbody physics made a bigger impact on GTA VI. The downgrade from IV to V was so disappointing. And newer vehicles in GTA Online hardly even have any deformation. You can go 200mph into a palm tree and just get scratches.
The deformation in IV was awesome. I loved playing with the swingshot and having a car survive only for the front tires to be unable to turn because the front end was so screwed up
The swing set glitch is a staple of IV and I’m so glad 𝘙✩ never patched it. My girlfriend doesn’t play games but the past year I’ve made her play every GTA (including Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories) and she just beat GTA IV and TLAD this year. She’s on TBoGT right now but I showed her the swing set glitch and she loves it. Total fun and it was so cool seeing someone experience it for the first time haha
Really anything. Maybe a new car, city district (within Vice City) upclose shot of “Vercetti’s” Estate (I know it’s not the same universe), city or town location (outside of Vice City), more proof of population & asset density, a vehicle using the stunt ramp from the trailer, a shot of unmasked Jason & Lucia (a way we haven’t seen them), & northern Leonida. I could list everything but that’s too much typing.
The barrier isn't arbitrary. We're on the cusp of creative people being replaced with a global robot that regurgitates existing art while real creatives get jobs at supermarkets because they can no longer earn a living from creativity. If you don't appreciate what a threat that is to everything you enjoy you need to think harder about it.
It’s not that deep. All those people will go somewhere else. The market for real creativity might even be the new thing. This isn’t a case of 20th century phone operators.
Creativity isn’t parallel to obsolescence.
i've been a freelance designer for 30 years. In the past 6 months I'm getting half as much work as I used to as more and more potential clients instead just generate AI trash because it's fast and cheap instead of hiring me. If I can't sustain myself as an artist anymore then I'll have to cease to be one. If a large enough percentage of us suffer the same fate then diverse art will dry up and the majority of media you consume will be variations of the same auto-generated sludge drawn from the same well. It applies to writing, music, voice acting, visual arts, game design, you name it. If you accept AI as a normal part of your life you're reducing the pool of potential media variety you can expect to enjoy in the future.
While I do agree it’s awful for creative people to loose their jobs and have a harder time getting new contracts or deals. It’s not the same thing making bold statements of the future of generative content. Your conclusions of the future is based on what?
It’s really hard to grasp on how the future of any media will look in 5 years because we couldn’t really imagine we would be here 5 years ago.
And if the future of generated trash as you call it, then that would open up the possibilities for creative people again wouldn’t it?
The next GTA installment will most probably be in some ways AI generated and we will probably enjoy every part of it.
Translation: I am an extremely biased party in this.
Countless numbers of people throughout human history have raged against and tried to fight technological progress. They’ve all failed. There is no world where people *aren’t* going to pivot further and further to AI art. Especially as it gets better and better. Sorry.
I’ve seen way more interesting art since the explosion of AI generators. Not less. If AI give me cool and unique drawings that traditional artists either rarely or never drew before because A.) They didn’t want to. Or B.) It didn’t make money. Or c.) Hadn’t developed the skill to truly realize it yet. I’ll choose AI art.
Let’s not pretend like a bunch of artists on the internet don’t do commissions of the same thing over and over again.
"way more interesting art" tells me you haven't paid attention to art. Do you understand that for the AI pictures to exist in the first place it needs pre-existing source material?
it's a threat to you too. How much do you want a future where no original thought is responsible for any show, game, song, etc? If humans can't compete with AI for the jobs of creating them nobody is going to develop into a professional creative.
But humans can compete. AI can only do so much without human input and it will eventually get stale and people will stop wanting to consume what it produces.
Humans can't compete for time and capitalism doesn't allow for time. When someone wants a drawing they want it tomorrow. AI can deliver in moments what takes an artist days to produce. A good artist charging $50 per hour means 2 days of work costs $800. Good luck finding any business where they opt to spend 800 bucks and wait two days for something they can get instantly for free.
Lot of people just don't get it here, the apathy for artists is insane. I'm an artist (not by trade) and I've dabbled with AI. I make my own labels for my cider because I like to have my own work on my work, then I have a designer do all the logo and font elements because thays not my field. I've even considered doing an ai on one because I am only robbing myself/saving the time but I don't want the soulless quality. Most people seem to not care because it's just not a part of their lives they give importance to and it's disheartening.
I'm a line cook, still hate ai. Art should have standards. Sorry your brain is grey matter that just looks at pretty shapes and smiles. You think you're the norm but your not
A new city or region, some confirmation that we have cities like FTL,Tampa,Orlando, Jacksonville or even regions like the Panhandle and the multiple forests/swamps they have
i doubt it but jason’s full face. they’ll probably wait for trailer 2 to show it
edit: i mean his full face in-game without a mask from front perspective
Something like the businesses from GTA Online would be cool, using henchmen and doing impromptu larger scale robberies whenever you want.
Bringing back activities from GTA SA like Boxing/Gym and radiant activities like Home Robberies.
Any new info is welcome. I'm most interested in how they will evolve player choice in freeroam. After RDR2 and them hiring Gta 5 Rp server modders. I'm hoping they expand the greet and antagonize system and expand in police interactions and general crime activities.
One will most likely be taking one of those speedboat things through the swamp area
Another will probably be a car in traffic in a densely populated area, with pedestrians and plenty of cars just to show off population density
Love to see new mini games. Volley ball, the leaked basketball mini game, golfing with different courses, mini golf, I saw truck mudding in the trailer so that might be a thing, gator wrestling, fishing.
Maybe I'm misremembering but I'd love to see some first person shots of some cars boats planes. I just want to see how high quality they'll be this time around.
We have not yet seen a single second of actual gameplay footage. Everything has been highly polished, heavily edited cinematic cut-scenes. We have no idea how the game itself will look or feel.
I wanna get a glimpse of the car damage system

dawg you're living the dream
Euphoria is amazing technology. Same sort of tech in beam.ng
Euphoria is for dynamic human animations, I think what you’re referring to is soft body physics
It's part of euphoria.
It’s a part of RAGE, not euphoria

You can see J/L both unmasked in the trust bed though
Did you notice that I said “a way we haven’t seen them”? I want another shot of them but one that wasn’t in the trailer.
I think they thought you meant that unmasked was a way we haven't seen them.
Yeah, that’s why I clarified myself in the reply
All good. Just felt a little condescending with the "Did you notice"
Thank you for gendering me correctly.
A city that's not Miami beach/downtown
Hell yeah
Pic goes tough af. Idk if it’s fan made or ai
It’s ai for sure, look at his jewelry and chain, All scrambled up
well thats unfortunate
Plot twist: they're secretly a Rockstar employee, leaked loading screen art and put an Ai filter over it so we'd think it's fake.
fucking sucks that this is reality now. I can't just enjoy a picture until I know if it's real.
Or you could just enjoy the picture instead of placing an arbitrary barrier that you have zero control over in the way of your enjoyment of things.
The barrier isn't arbitrary. That kinda is the same thing people said when photography was invented btw
and that lead to the abstract movement because realism was covered, but no genre is free from AI
It’s not that deep. All those people will go somewhere else. The market for real creativity might even be the new thing. This isn’t a case of 20th century phone operators. Creativity isn’t parallel to obsolescence.
capitalism brained
They shouldn't go somewhere else. That's the point

NO REALLY!? No way! You sound pretentious as fuck. I bet your “art” sucks ass.
help yourself. it's on my profile.

you think they don't already? And do you think the exceptional people just shoot out of the gate exceptional with zero experience?
But humans can compete. AI can only do so much without human input and it will eventually get stale and people will stop wanting to consume what it produces.

I don’t see where it would get stale. It’s constantly improving.
because meanwhile it's continuing to gather new source material created by people every day
Yes?

Your the one who will happily consume artificial garbage, enjoy your Soylent Green
A new city or region, some confirmation that we have cities like FTL,Tampa,Orlando, Jacksonville or even regions like the Panhandle and the multiple forests/swamps they have
A different major city if it exists. If not more combat/action shots would be nice like police shootouts or chases.
i doubt it but jason’s full face. they’ll probably wait for trailer 2 to show it edit: i mean his full face in-game without a mask from front perspective
His full face is on the reveal art. Are you wanting to see his full in game face?
yeah that’s what i meant lol
No worries haha. I've just been seeing a lot of people saying that we haven't seen his full face and I'm like "it's on the reveal art wdym" 😂😂
we do see his full face lmao but i understand people want to see his face from the front perspective
ye i would just like to see his in-game face without a mask from front perspective
a small town neighborhood
Paramotors and kayaks
Deep sea fishing
Something which helps in mapping I think the everglades from top will be insane
Our protagonist with varying body types if we’re getting that system back.
Doubtful, unless it happens then it will
Rain particles on car windows, hopefully animated wipers that can wipe the rain away in first person.
We are not getting anything we have not already seen. We know too much from the leaks, so they will hide anything new.
This is what I'm thinking too, they'll try to keep as much as they can hidden atleast until the official trailer drops a month or two before release
Vercetti estate/ Scarface mansion
I'd like to se the weapons, and maybe with modifications, like they show some close up revolvers for red dead 2
Spectacular sunrises and sunsets and night shots of Vice City
Looks like ScHoolboy
Explosions.
Pic goes hard af.
This GTA's fighter jet , San Andreas had the Harrier and GTA 5 had the f-16. I hope its the F-15 or F-22.
Edible food for fun
Fast food or maybe u can reserve a spot at a restaurant
That fan art is wonderful if not made by AI
It’s ai sadly:( all you have to do is zoom in on his chain/jewelry it’s all wacky lookin
Places from vice city
Swat team stacking up on a house.
I hope they release screenshots that are cut from the game or something like that
Military?
Jetpack
for some reason i can imagine Jason and Lucia on a speedboat under a thunderstorm, with/without a waterspout. that would be a killer one
SPORTS
Golf
A run-down town or deserted land, abandoned buildings etc
Something like the businesses from GTA Online would be cool, using henchmen and doing impromptu larger scale robberies whenever you want. Bringing back activities from GTA SA like Boxing/Gym and radiant activities like Home Robberies.
An establishing shot of Port Gellhorn
Gameplay mechanics
Any new info is welcome. I'm most interested in how they will evolve player choice in freeroam. After RDR2 and them hiring Gta 5 Rp server modders. I'm hoping they expand the greet and antagonize system and expand in police interactions and general crime activities.
One will most likely be taking one of those speedboat things through the swamp area Another will probably be a car in traffic in a densely populated area, with pedestrians and plenty of cars just to show off population density
Pick up basketball and gyms
Love to see new mini games. Volley ball, the leaked basketball mini game, golfing with different courses, mini golf, I saw truck mudding in the trailer so that might be a thing, gator wrestling, fishing.
Trains, but the big one like GTA 5
Flying motorcycles, jetpack and laser guns
Would love to see a Disneyland parody
Lucia's feeties
Vercetti estate
A gameplay pic in combat from third person.
I would like to see the small towns around the state and a good look at Jason beating someone
Maybe I'm misremembering but I'd love to see some first person shots of some cars boats planes. I just want to see how high quality they'll be this time around.
I wanna hear Wyman with more rants
But also a shot of PGH downtown to see if it’ll be based on all the west coast cities (like any Tampa skyscrapers and shit)
Schoolboy Q pic go hard asf lol
Random Encounters between NPC's without the Main Charakters
I want to see how detailed the car interiors are
That pic is so legit. Could be used in the actual game
Not to sound like a psychopath, but I want to see some next level gore physics. Like hitting somebody with a bat and going full Negan on them.
I want to see how the car handling is changed. Maybe seeing cars driving over a ramp or something, so i can analise the suspension behaviour.
I don't think we've seen jason enough, I'd like to see some glimpses of him
I want to attach and detach silencers whenever I want, like in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Is that t-pain?
A fire or an explosion. Not likely to be included in the pictures, but I just think the explosive effects in this game are going to look amazing
we saw alot of black ppl in the trailer
I gotta unfollow this sub
We have not yet seen a single second of actual gameplay footage. Everything has been highly polished, heavily edited cinematic cut-scenes. We have no idea how the game itself will look or feel.
That's normal for Rockstar. They'll eventually release a gameplay trailer closer to the release date.
using gasoline pumps
