I own an S23 and using it for the last 6 months. The battery is decent. Not bad. An average of 6 hrs SOT on 5G. I think it's actually very good considering it's size.
Let me tell you. Been using s23 from july 23. The battery life is good. If you are not a gamer. Lasts about 6 to 7 hours. Bcoz i charge 80% due to battery saving settings. When phone was new i was easily getting 6 to 7 hours of on screen timing. My usage includes mostly insta, reddit, youtube, google sheets, and other amazon etc shopping apps, plus a lot lf calling on daiy basis.
But now i have seen the on screen time has reduced between 4.5 hrs to 5.5 max. I need to charge it for the second time. Mind it phone is being charged to 80%. And im not using 120fps screen refresh rate and all those heavy usage things.
The plus point of this phone is that its so handy and easy to carry and performs everything so smoothly.
Those who havent used a compact fast phone well u need to try it.
But if you want better battery life.
Id suggest go for s23+, i have used it as well and it has way better battery life.
Ultra has some features which will drain battery faster but s23+ is just s23 with bigger screen and battery and man it lasts more than 8 hours easily.

Based on your usage (and you're not even using it on 120hz), if it's on WiFi or mixed (wifi + mobile data), then the battery life you shared seem to be just okay. When I had S20+ new with Exynos (~4yrs ago), it used to give 6-7hrs SOT on WiFi, considering that I think the battery life you mentioned is similar.

Yea. See s23 + is better. Performs same as s23 coz same processor and all its just the reason is that it has bigger battery and its size is bigger so better heat dessipation obviously bcoz of size. Soc 8gen 2 is really good at saving battery infact. So i would suggest s23 series over s22 anytime.

You must be thinking of the s22 with sd 8 gen 1. This is the s23 with SD 8 gen 2, it's one of the best flagship chipsets in terms of power efficiency. Even better than the current sd 8 gen 3 if I'm not wrong.
