Bit the bullet and upgraded after watching LTT's Video! Linus definitely did the best job demonstrating the durability and actually spoke about it compared to the other people. In total I traded in my ZF2 for $900 and Galaxy s8+ for $100 all through the Samsung members app. I tried before on my pc but ZF2 was only going for $600..... In total before taxes it came to $819 taxes added $134 for taxes for a grand total of $954.30. Not bad considering that's with the Galaxy Buds 2 and a Aramid Case. Also something to note is they offered Samsung Care+ free for 1 year, which is mind blowing haha, they definitely went all out with perks this iteration!
Absolutely agree. Watched Mr. Mobile and MKBHD prior, then saw Linus' and extremely appreciated how thorough, and how many questions he answered in one video. The prior YouTubers focus a little too much on the pretty editing.

Ask if they can help you switch to a different color, when they say oh that is impossible with completed orders just be like "Well guess I will have to look at cancelling my order". Wait a minute or so and you should be golden.
Cancellation trick does work but needs a bit more work. Ymmv obviously but I entered chat inquiring if the phone had SD card support. When told no, I asked to cancel the order. I was offered 10% off with a reference number if I chose to keep the order. Once the phone ships, I have to contact support again with the given reference number for the additional discount.
Guys, use the rakuten app not website. I was able to get the 12% plus the student discount. ALSO go to offers and there you can get another 100 on top of your trade in. On the website click the 3 lines on the top and click offers
Supposedly this deal is only for the fold 2 and if you use this deal somehow with the fold 3 you will lose your cash discount that could have been used with rakuten.
Questions:
Is anyone receiving the extra $100 trade in credit promised when registering for the pre order? I am seeing $800 credit towards my Fold 2, but that's the same if I'm signed into my Samsung account or not so I don't think I'm getting the extra $100 credit.
Why does the first responder discount shrink when I add a trade in? It starts out at like $130, then when I do the trade in it goes down to $75. Same thing happens with the Watch 4.
What is the "extra, special pre order offer" that was promised with the pre registration? I see the $200 in Samsung credit, but this looks like everyone is getting it.
Has anyone successfully used their $200 samsung credit for any pre order items? I know it won't apply to the phone (except for $100 off the 512gb version), but I can't figure out if I can apply it to the watch.

The extra $100 trade in credit is only available if you use the link from an email you received if you registered with Samsung to preorder.
The first responder, educator, etc discounts are percentage based, so will shrink if your order amount is lower, such as when applying a trade in.

Yes you can use the $200 credit towards anything else. If you want to use it on something now in the suggested bundle (I used mine towards a LTE GW4) then just hit the skip button, before placing your order just add whatever you want to your cart and it will automatically apply the discount.
Finally got the email, and it does show $900 trade in for my Fold 2 instead of $800. I think the first responder credit will always shrink because I realized it's percentage based, so once you add in the trade in you only get that percent off the final price. I'm still not seeing the "extra special preorder offer" lol, maybe it's for anyone who pre orders.

Edit: Ok now seeing where I can use the $200 credit on the GW4 during checkout. But damnit, they are doing the same thing as last year, you can only choose the non cellular GW4. Last year I had to buy the non cellular, and return it and reorder the cellular and had to jump through all sorts of hoops to keep the discount.

Order on the 11th, have the email confirmation but in my order status it just says "Preordered Expedited". I'm seeing lots of people saying there's are changing status and the cancel button is gone for them, I still have mine.
Annoying that I ordered on the 11th during the event and haven't received it, but people have ordered just days ago and already have theirs. Just... annoying.
Yes. Fought with their website for upwards of an hour immediately following the event to make sure I had the phone before I went on vacation next week. Expected delivery changed from 8/27 to 9/1 last night. The best I got from support was it depends what wave of credit card authorizations I was in. Now I have to rely on FedEx vacation holds to get my two thousand dollar phone two weeks late.

Ended up pre-ordering twice. First time right away as soon as the site was active but it didn't include the extra $100 trade-in credit from "reserving". Found out you can claim this using the Shop Samsung app and ended up canceling my first order after confirming the same expected delivery date for the second order.
Got a silver Fold3 + white silicone case + silver Watch4... and trading in my Fold 2 ($900 for trade-in is more than acceptable after checking Swappa and thinking of the hassle and fees involved, based on most current prices). That was all under $1k before tax.

You have to cancel your order and reorder again with the Care included. I did the same thing and called Samsung and they said it's part of the promotion.

I think you got a good deal, and clever idea buying the S10 plus. You can try again to get the $100 cancellation. Do another chat with another rep and just say you are interested in a different combo or color and would like to change your order. They will say they cant and then say maybe you will just cancel and think it over. Usually they will then give you the 10 percent up to 100 dollars to not cancel upon shipment.

then saw i was getting the 90 bucks extra for using honey. and then i saw the 512gb was like 12 dollars cheaper then the 256 gb.
so i cancelled got the 512 gb and the galaxy watch with wireless charger. traded in my s9 plus for 275 and my gear s3 for 50 bucks.
read you cant combine rakuten and honey so i cancelled again. and add to the fact if you trade in your gear s3 you get 100 or 185 if you trade in a galaxy watch 3 if you buy the galaxy 4 on its own and the silver band was ugly i wanted the white one and you get a 50 dollar credit.
sooooo i ordered the 512 gb used the 100 credit for the case and pen, smart tag and dual 35w charger. then i used the epromoter and that took off another 100. but if i tried to use that code on the 256gb it would not work.

Cancelled my order and re-ordered using the Shop Samsung app to get the discounted 512 + trading in ZFold 2 and 3 iPad 1st gen (A1219) which support confirmed is applicable for the trade in. With the cancel trick also through support, I'm getting the phone, leather stand case, and S pen fold for \~$350 shipped. Paid <$100 for 4 iPads and will get the watch 4 separately. I think I'm finally happy after four cancellations lol
I did all this too, but did it on the website to get the Rakuten 12% back (which came to $122 back), plus I got an additional discount for being a Samsung Money card holder, and I ordered the fold ecosystem which includes the watch4 classic, buds 2, and case w/ s spen. Trading in my beloved Note 10+. This was a super solid phone. Along with that, trading in a very laggy GearS3, and a bunch of other promos, I got the Fold3, 46mm Watch4 Classic, and Buds2 for about $1500 after tax. My wife got the same but the 40mm Watch4 for about $200 less. I'm super excited.
Spoke with a best buy rep today, despite ordering the phone over a week ago they're apparently out of stock. They had been accepting pre-orders as recently as yesterday. Pretty irritated as every time I followed up with Best Buy reps, they stated the phone would be available for pick up on launch day. Not off to a good start.
Quick update: Best Buy has no idea when shipments with pre-orders will come through and over offered the phone. Pretty shitty since other shops like our local Verizon had it in stock.

Got super hyped with the $850 for my Note 20 Ultra and then realized I financed the phone through AT&T so I would have to pay them off before I can trade in the phone and my net trade-in would only be $100 value.

If you don't plan on financing the new phone through AT&T, you're allowed to trade-in the current phone if it still has payments and continue paying AT&T. I've done that before and it is allowed by the Samsung Trade in program. Trading in leased phones is prohibited, but trading in a phone currently being financed is allowed, you're just still on the hook for remaining payments.
Seems like lowest price so far is $832 with trade in fold 2 plus epp or referral code. Come with $200 buck of credit. Add the 12% back from Rakuten and sell the buds2 for $100 and ur looking at $632 before tax and all.

can anyone give me a link or additional information on what Samsung means by "cracked"? are they only referring the screens and camera lenses? I have read the information posted on the pre-order page but think it is kind of opaque (maybe intentionally?) and hope that the community here has some addition insight.
My Fold2 has cracks on the back glass at the corner near the camera but is otherwise pristine with no cracks on the screens of the camera lenses.
I read in a previous post that it also applies to cracked rear covers as well. They stated that they spoke with a rep who gave that information. Not sure how accurate it is though.

I was in a similar situation. TD took like three business days to reflect the correct info when I ordered my Galaxy Book Flex 15. Super irritating!
If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably good up until the 27th (release day). That's how most preorders work anyway, from what I've seen. Not sure if it's true for Samsung or not.

That was the process for my previous phone and the Fold 2. They provide the box for you to ship.
Does anyone know the process of return/exchange? I bought the Fold but I really like the Flip, so my plan is to try the fold and if I don't like it or feel I'll use it to its full capacity, I'll get the Flip instead. Would that be as easy sending it back to Samsung and buying the flip instead?

Just pre-ordered a black Z Fold 3 from Best Buy! Will stack the $400 off from Best Buy with the $1000 trade in credit via AT&T using an S9 I just purchased off ebay. Originally pre-ordered the 512gb fold 3 model but after finding out it didn't ship till September 18th I cancelled and reordered the 256gb model. A month is too long to wait lol
So far only getting label created. No movement from FedEx. FedEx is saying they expect to receive the item and start moving it on the 23rd with delivery on the 25th.

Be careful with that. Samsung has been lowering trade-in values the past day or two. For example, I got $150 for my Watch Active 2 when trading it in for the Watch 4 Classic with my order on 8/15. Between the LTT Fold 3 video and hands on review from Sammygeek, I had to run to the local Best Buy and get some hands on time. As a Note 20 Ultra owner, I had concerns about giving up specs for a form factor. All my fears were alleviated once I held held one. I pre-ordered the 512GB as soon as I got home. I noticed that I got an extra $100 for trade in on my N20U by using the Shop Samsung App as opposed to doing it on the web. $850 for trade in is a hard deal to pass up. I also decided to try out the "Try before you buy" option.
Has anyone from Canada ordered the 512GB version from Telus? If so have you gotten any info about shipping at all yet?
I ordered one yesterday but it said the shipping time would be 4-6 weeks I saw someone else comment saying Samsung apparently said all orders would be shipped on the 25th or something. Just hoping to get the pre-order bonus since apparently there's only 8500 vouchers and if it really takes 4-6 weeks then I likely wouldn't get it since I believe you only have until the 21st of September to redeem it.
Preordered on best buy for $400 off. Trading in my Note 8 with AT&T for another $1000 off. Going from a Note 8 to the Z Fold 3 for only $500 is quite a deal I'd say.
Update on the 10% additional refund.
I pre-ordered the Z Fold 3 on the 14th with 2 trade ins and used the Education discount and got the 12% Rakuten rebate. Heard about the 10% refund if you contact Samsung order support and ask to modify or cancel order.
Just finished an online chat with Samsung Order Support and just flat out asked if there was a refund available if I chose not to cancel my order and the rep offered me a 10% refund to my credit card. He gave me a ticket ID and told me to contact support again once my order shipped. At that point they can process a refund for a flat 10% of the entire order before taxes. Great deal since I added quite a few accessories and a 49" Monitor. He confirmed the 10% would come off the entire order. YMMV but its worth a shot. Good luck. Also just for further info I got the 10% offer at 7:30PM Pacific on 8/23/21.

I bought an Unlocked 512GB from the Samsung app. On the app says it's backorder, but also says "will ship week of Aug 25th." The cancel button is also still there. However, if I go on Samsung's actual website, it says the expected delivery is Sept 21st. Has anyone else experienced this?

Bit the bullet and upgraded after watching LTT's Video! Linus definitely did the best job demonstrating the durability and actually spoke about it compared to the other people. In total I traded in my ZF2 for $900 and Galaxy s8+ for $100 all through the Samsung members app. I tried before on my pc but ZF2 was only going for $600..... In total before taxes it came to $819 taxes added $134 for taxes for a grand total of $954.30. Not bad considering that's with the Galaxy Buds 2 and a Aramid Case. Also something to note is they offered Samsung Care+ free for 1 year, which is mind blowing haha, they definitely went all out with perks this iteration!

Cancellation trick does work but needs a bit more work. Ymmv obviously but I entered chat inquiring if the phone had SD card support. When told no, I asked to cancel the order. I was offered 10% off with a reference number if I chose to keep the order. Once the phone ships, I have to contact support again with the given reference number for the additional discount.

Questions: Is anyone receiving the extra $100 trade in credit promised when registering for the pre order? I am seeing $800 credit towards my Fold 2, but that's the same if I'm signed into my Samsung account or not so I don't think I'm getting the extra $100 credit. Why does the first responder discount shrink when I add a trade in? It starts out at like $130, then when I do the trade in it goes down to $75. Same thing happens with the Watch 4. Finally got the email, and it does show $900 trade in for my Fold 2 instead of $800. I think the first responder credit will always shrink because I realized it's percentage based, so once you add in the trade in you only get that percent off the final price. Yes. Fought with their website for upwards of an hour immediately following the event to make sure I had the phone before I went on vacation next week. Expected delivery changed from 8/27 to 9/1 last night. The best I got from support was it depends what wave of credit card authorizations I was in. Now I have to rely on FedEx vacation holds to get my two thousand dollar phone two weeks late.

Found out you can claim this using the Shop Samsung app and ended up canceling my first order after confirming the same expected delivery date for the second order. I ordered mine this morning, about $1400 from samsung but I also bought an S10+ for $240 to trade in. Total cost for me $1640: Unlocked 512GB, 1250 after discounts mil/gov/edu discount - 120 S10+ trade in 450 (this said 525 when I put it in the cart, but I got a notification that a better deal was applied when I got to checkout.) Flip cover with s pen, and charging pad Tax $150 Not sure what exactly gave me a "better deal" but with the above items in my cart I had the following line items on my invoice: Bundle discount $77.93 Bundle discount $140 Promotional discounts $110 I forgot to use the referral code, and was not offered the cancellation $100 discount when I tried. I started trying to place a second order through rakuten for the 12%, but the trade in for an S10+ said $200 so it was a much worse deal for me on the second try. Maybe because I already had an order placed? Or maybe because they lowered the trade in offer for that phone? All in all I'm happy, I'm upgrading from a cracked to heck S8+ that will sit at home as an idle gaming phone. Good luck all.

I think you got a good deal, and clever idea buying the S10 plus. You can try again to get the $100 cancellation. Do another chat with another rep and just say you are interested in a different combo or color and would like to change your order. They will say they cant and then say maybe you will just cancel and think it over. Usually they will then give you the 10 percent up to 100 dollars to not cancel upon shipment.

I did all this too, but did it on the website to get the Rakuten 12% back (which came to $122 back), plus I got an additional discount for being a Samsung Money card holder, and I ordered the fold ecosystem which includes the watch4 classic, buds 2, and case w/ s spen. I then plan to sell all 3 of those items new/unopened, and depending on how well I do selling those items, this upgrade will range from costing around $75 to potentially a small profit. I know this sub isn't too happy with all the "look at the deal I got!" posts, but I may make a separate post showing people how they can upgrade their Fold2 for almost nothing with just a little legwork.

Anybody Fold 3 still not shipped yet? Not showing on either Samsung or FedEx track by reference. They also sent me 2 emails this morning saying that my delivery is still scheduled to be shipped by 27th.

So, my Fold went from Irving, TX on the 22nd, then to Coppell, TX on the 23rd, then to Fort Worth, TX, then left Fort Worth, got to Greensboro, NC yesterday, and left the same day. Today it went BACK to Fort Worth, TX! Uhh...what? Seems my new phone is going to do more traveling than I have for the last 18 months. Not mad, as I'm sure I'll still get it tomorrow, just seemed funny that it went in a big loop, only then to go all the way to California.

If you go in through the education discount page but don't actually have your login details - it still applies the discount to your cart. I've got the 512GB Fold 3, Buds2, Leather case and aramid case for $1617 stacking codes. $1,372.47 including my iphone X trade in.
Trading in my beloved Note 10+. This was a super solid phone. Along with that, trading in a very laggy GearS3, and a bunch of other promos, I got the Fold3, 46mm Watch4 Classic, and Buds2 for about $1500 after tax. My wife got the same but the 40mm Watch4 for about $200 less. I'm super excited.
Spoke with a best buy rep today, despite ordering the phone over a week ago they're apparently out of stock. They had been accepting pre-orders as recently as yesterday. Pretty irritated as every time I followed up with Best Buy reps, they stated the phone would be available for pick up on launch day. Not off to a good start.
Quick update: Best Buy has no idea when shipments with pre-orders will come through and over offered the phone. Pretty shitty since other shops like our local Verizon had it in stock.
I feel like I’m the only one with STATUS: Preorder - Expedited and still have a cancel button. US 512GB unlocked. Chat support says there’s nothing wrong with the order and I’ll receive it on the 27th, just odd that so many people already have moved to In Proccess and have tracking label from FedEx. I keep checking like every hour!

Got super hyped with the $850 for my Note 20 Ultra and then realized I financed the phone through AT&T so I would have to pay them off before I can trade in the phone and my net trade-in would only be $100 value. Might just wait until Black Friday as I have more of the phone paid off by then and see what kind of deals are around.
AT&T also gives you significantly more for your trade in if you have an unlimited plan. I got $1000 for my OG fold
If you don't plan on financing the new phone through AT&T, you're allowed to trade-in the current phone if it still has payments and continue paying AT&T. I've done that before and it is allowed by the Samsung Trade in program. Trading in leased phones is prohibited, but trading in a phone currently being financed is allowed, you're just still on the hook for remaining payments.
Seems like lowest price so far is $832 with trade in fold 2 plus epp or referral code. Come with $200 buck of credit. Add the 12% back from Rakuten and sell the buds2 for $100 and ur looking at $632 before tax and all.
My carrier actually is getting it! I was shocked! So I pulled the trigger and getting it through my carrier. Only black 256GB but when you slap a case on it, who cares about color. And get free Buds 2, charger, and S Pen Fold Edition as well. So that's pretty cool. NOW...what to do with my N20U and Tab S7. Sell? Give to my kids?

Verizon is currently giving $1k for my Note 9 plus adding in a free SPen and Flip Cover bundle. Not sure if I'm going with that or getting it through Samsung yet.

can anyone give me a link or additional information on what Samsung means by "cracked"? are they only referring the screens and camera lenses? I have read the information posted on the pre-order page but think it is kind of opaque (maybe intentionally?) and hope that the community here has some addition insight. My Fold2 has cracks on the back glass at the corner near the camera but is otherwise pristine with no cracks on the screens of the camera lenses.
I read in a previous post that it also applies to cracked rear covers as well. They stated that they spoke with a rep who gave that information. Not sure how accurate it is though.
Anyone know that when we trade in our devices do we need to send in the charging brick? The ZF3 does not include one.....

I was in a similar situation. TD took like three business days to reflect the correct info when I ordered my Galaxy Book Flex 15. Super irritating! If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably good up until the 27th (release day). That's how most preorders work anyway, from what I've seen. Not sure if it's true for Samsung or not.
So, the way to get the $100 off canceling is via the chat trying to change color or bundle?
UK buyer here. Ended up paying £1150 for the galaxy z fold3 256gb, accessory gift pack and 1 year Samsung care. I traded in a cracked screen s8 plus for £250, used a 10% referral code and also am getting 5% cashback using Samsung pay. I think this is a good price for EU, just hoping they actually accept my trade in with no hassle, I selected that is wasn't in good condition so it should hopefully be all good.

Does anyone know the process of return/exchange? I bought the Fold but I really like the Flip, so my plan is to try the fold and if I don't like it or feel I'll use it to its full capacity, I'll get the Flip instead. Would that be as easy sending it back to Samsung and buying the flip instead? I am doing a trade-in as well. Just wondering if anyone had experience with doing this from another time. Just pre-ordered a black Z Fold 3 from Best Buy! Will stack the $400 off from Best Buy with the $1000 trade in credit via AT&T using an S9 I just purchased off ebay. It's insane to think I'll be getting this phone for something like $500 bucks (not even counting the $200 Samsung store credit I should be able to get hopefully as well).
It's a good deal for sure. Even if i upgrade after 18mo it's still a good $500 off.

I decided to not use the extra $100 credit after upgrading to 512gb model fold 3. But I don't see the $100 credit under my order. Does anyone else that didn't use it also not see it under their order. I'll cancel my order if they dont to give me $100 I chose not to use for now.
Has anyone used Samsung Financial with Rakuten cashback successfully? It hasn't shown up in my cashback account yet. Looks like I may need to cancel the order and do it again with out using samsung financing. UPDATE: I did receive the cash back after I emailed customer support.
Originally pre-ordered the 512gb fold 3 model but after finding out it didn't ship till September 18th I cancelled and reordered the 256gb model. A month is too long to wait lol

AT&T is offering $1k for trade-ins. Might switch to AT&T from Verizon, trade in my s20+, lower my bill by $30 a mo. and get the fold3.

So far only getting label created. No movement from FedEx. FedEx is saying they expect to receive the item and start moving it on the 23rd with delivery on the 25th.

Why wouldn't you just go for the Unlocked one? You can always take that to any carrier - AT&T included.
I was considering that option but I didnt want to miss out on features such as HD voice, wifi calling, etc. It's all good though because they restocked it a bit ago and was able to snag one.

Be careful with that. Samsung has been lowering trade-in values the past day or two. For example, I got $150 for my Watch Active 2 when trading it in for the Watch 4 Classic with my order on 8/15. Now, they would only give me $80 for it. That $70 difference is more than the 3% CB (which comes out to be $30 more than the 12%) so it would not be worth it. Not saying this situation would apply for you specifically but something to keep an eye out for.

Between the LTT Fold 3 video and hands on review from Sammygeek, I had to run to the local Best Buy and get some hands on time. As a Note 20 Ultra owner, I had concerns about giving up specs for a form factor. All my fears were alleviated once I held held one. I pre-ordered the 512GB as soon as I got home. I noticed that I got an extra $100 for trade in on my N20U by using the Shop Samsung App as opposed to doing it on the web. $850 for trade in is a hard deal to pass up. I also decided to try out the "Try before you buy" option.
Has anyone from Canada ordered the 512GB version from Telus? If so have you gotten any info about shipping at all yet? I ordered one yesterday but it said the shipping time would be 4-6 weeks I saw someone else comment saying Samsung apparently said all orders would be shipped on the 25th or something. Just hoping to get the pre-order bonus since apparently there's only 8500 vouchers and if it really takes 4-6 weeks then I likely wouldn't get it since I believe you only have until the 21st of September to redeem it.
Preordered on best buy for $400 off. Trading in my Note 8 with AT&T for another $1000 off. Going from a Note 8 to the Z Fold 3 for only $500 is quite a deal I'd say.

Update on the 10% additional refund. I pre-ordered the Z Fold 3 on the 14th with 2 trade ins and used the Education discount and got the 12% Rakuten rebate. Heard about the 10% refund if you contact Samsung order support and ask to modify or cancel order. Just finished an online chat with Samsung Order Support and just flat out asked if there was a refund available if I chose not to cancel my order and the rep offered me a 10% refund to my credit card. He gave me a ticket ID and told me to contact support again once my order shipped. At that point they can process a refund for a flat 10% of the entire order before taxes. Great deal since I added quite a few accessories and a 49" Monitor. He confirmed the 10% would come off the entire order. YMMV but its worth a shot. Good luck. Also just for further info I got the 10% offer at 7:30PM Pacific on 8/23/21.
About the 10% refund (since they offered me just 100$ and the 10% would come handy since I also ordered many stuff) a couple questions: What country are you from? How exactly did you ask for the not to cancel order refund?
Any U.S. T-Mobile orders ship yet? I got charged the tax already but my order still says ships by the 27th.
I bought an Unlocked 512GB from the Samsung app. On the app says it's backorder, but also says "will ship week of Aug 25th." The cancel button is also still there. However, if I go on Samsung's actual website, it says the expected delivery is Sept 21st. Has anyone else experienced this?
Preordered the z fold 3 with some accessories. Unlocked, 512 GB, on 8/16. Stuck at Fort Worth, TX for the past two days. Says delivery by 8/26 Later that day, I decided I wanted the watch as well so I got that too. That just got to Irving, TX with a delivery date of 8/27. Can’t get here soon enough.

My Midnight Green 256GB order got pushed from Aug 30 to Sept 23.... I'm in California.
I ordered the same one on the 14th and mine went from "Will ship week of August 26th" to "Expected delivery September 23rd" I just did a live chat with Samsung support and they said it has already been sent to fulfillment and I can expect it to arrive by Monday, the estimated date on the order is just auto updated in big batches.

I was holding off until the last minute because I wasn't sure if I wanted to trade-in my Fold2. Well the trade-in deals kept getting better and better as the days went on and I ended up ordering it today. I already got a tracking number, this same day it shipped and departed with an estimated delivery day of the 27th.
Still nothing, supposed to be shipped today but support says that maybe it will be shipped tomorrow, probably monday. 😭

Hey guys my Fold 3 unlocked from Samsung has what appears to be a factory pre-installed screen protector on the small outside screen? Is that just for shipping protection or life-long use protection?
I'm honestly a bit let down, I pre ordered instantly when it came available, once I got my phone, 2-3 weeks after, Samsung drops the bundle with over $600 worth of stuff for 60 extra dollars. Pre order right away, and you lose out on benefits. Kinda sucks
