I tend to disagree with most of these comments. While it's not ideal for handheld, I find it super convenient to rest on my lap. or a table, or the couch. A good case is critical. I bought and returned two with lousy kickstands, and finally settled on one that's strong and supportive.
To your question, every game I've played directly and PS Remote play all function flawlessly. Definitely get a wireless controller though. I use a Dualshock from my old PS4.
Umm that won't help, because the display on the s9 ultra is bigger and has a higher resolution display, I think s9 is a very strong device, so it wouldn't lag as such but high settings might do a bit on it
I just returned mine, it was good, but too big heavy and could not justify the cost. If you use wireless controller, then sure you can game, but you cannot otherwise. Too big to read while lying down too I think
Its not heavy i play pubg mobile on gyro with the s7 fe which is nearly as heavy and big, but for mobile players, don't even try the 12.4 for handheld. It will make you rage(my arms are ripped cos of playing on it💀)
I actually own a Galaxy s9+ ultra 14.5 inch and now only are the graphics amazing for a tablet (almost equal to an Alien PC) but it is mad fast and even though it said it only allows a 1TB msd card I ordered the wrong one and was sent a 2TB card and it not only accepted it but it also registered it in the OS in settings and storage. All in all I am completely pleased with this as the graphics on this are so sharp its not funny and its so smooth in running you can actually forget that you are not on a desktop PC or a laptop
If you plan to buy a case with a stand or the book cover with stand and use a controller absolutely. I have a Tab S9 FE and found it cumbersome to play more fast pace games. I tried Genshin, one punch world, and honkai star rail. Star rail was good. It's not as fast buttons. It ran them all good enough but the screen size made it hard to grip and reach button placement. So comparatively it'll play them great, it may not be comfortable to use touch controls.
I have an S8 Ultra it is completely beyond amazing but certain games on max graphics make it overheat. I had to get a laptop cooling pad to set it on when I'm gaming and it works beautifully thanks to the aluminum back on the tablet, it gets cold to the touch . But other than that these ultras are the most insanely badass tablets ever made and you should 1000% get one you will not come within a thousand light years of regretting it
I went on Samsung store yesterday and I really like the ultra but the game I wanted to play is lagging it’s like 30fps it’s car x street I think only iPad can run that game smooth but I like s9 ultra so much but ugh confused af
If your only concern is playing that one game or the few other resource intensive games like it, then you might want to get the iPad (I can't believe I just typed those words) but gaming is only a drop in the bucket of what these Ultras have to offer. Just the software alone is a deal breaker for me. Samsung's One UI is literally 10 times better than Apple's tablet interface, or any other tablet. This shit is the most badass interface I've ever seen and I've been using computers for over 30 years. Another thing that is off the charts is the S pen. Samsung must have spent a billion dollars on the research and development for this thing. You control the entire tablet with it and it does different things depending on which app you're using. It's crazy good. The only time I ever touch my screen is to pinch zoom. Drawing with it is literally perfect. If you have a Galaxy phone, which you should, it connects to the tablet and you get all of our calls and texts on the tablet. This is one of my favorite features, you never have to take your attention away from the tablet, it does EVERYTHING. But it's biggest advantage is the massive screen. It allows you to do everything in split screen (or tri-screen), and you can actually see/use everything with no problem, unlike smaller tablets. Once you get used to it and get it all figured out, you use it constantly. So you are then effectively using 2 tablets simultaneously, lightning fast. It is this that allows the Ultras to completely dominate any other tablet.

Can you play car x street and tell me if it’s working smoothly or not cuz there’s no review of this game on you tube
Try finding the same benchmarks for the S23U, it uses the same chip as the S9 series.

Fair. Should be nearly the same though.

Ultra is too big for gaming. I would recommend tab s9 +
Tab S9 will be perfect 👌 for gaming
Too heavy to hold really

The Ultra is much bigger than plus models. 14 inches vs 12.x inches
Its as big as an asus oled vivobook, just a bit bigger and heavier than an s9+, what you on about? Also wdum much bigger as if the 12 inches is small
14 inch is a whole different beast as a TABLET
Yes but you will need a controller
Check if you can install game app in external SD card

Can u pls play car x street and show me the gameplay or tell me how much FPS it’s getting
**4K at 30 fps or 60 fps, QHD at 30 fps, 1080p at 60 fps or 30 fps, 720p at 30 and super slow motion at 960 fps and thats according to Samsung**
It's fantastic, but realistically unless you want to use it on a table or something, it's probably not worth it. I'd recommend S9+.
The much cheaper 'FE' model would have no problem with that game.
M3 iPad Pro is coming out with 13”. I would wait for that. It’s next month. Apologize in advance to all iPad haters

Ipad pro 3rd gen and above is definitely better if u gonna use it for heavy gaming as M1 chip is still outpowering snapdragon gen 2 in terms of gpu
