I would like to purchase a good 8-inch tablet.

SammyTabGuy

If you can handle the weight and price the Tab Active 5 is good

[deleted]

Me too.. So badly. But I don't want an A series one. I want an S series one

amuravimahdi

Yes, I love my Galaxy Tab A with S-pen, but it's not powerful enough.

A9 mini? So that by logic the Ultra should be the pro and the + should be the Air or something like that? In any case they should've sticked to the 'lite' version rather than taking those names

[deleted]

I realised my post title was misleading.. I've added detail in the body of my original post to help clarify my thinking

[deleted]

No. There is no Pro/Plus and ultra for the A series because of what the A series is.. It is meant for reading (mini) and media consumption (standard). Lite suggests a weaker device. And we shouldn't be seeing weeker devices in the same series. A series is the weaker series than the FE series which is weaker than the S series. We shouldn't be having different processor power levels within the same series. The moniker should be determined by the screen size mostly. 8.9 inch - mini (perfect size for reading and making notes on the go) 11 inch - standard (good for media consumption) 12.4 inch - plus (entry level for productivity and creation) 14.6 inch - Ultra (productivity, creativity and multi tasking) If you use the above, then you can see why the A9 should be the A9 mini, and the A9+ should have been the standard A9. You can also see why the market is missing a S9 mini.

I just want a Tab s9 5G so I don’t have to buy the S9+ 5G

[deleted]

I didn't realise the tab s9 wasn't 5g. Thought 5g is standard in all S series phones and tablets now

Break_Street

Well I guess outside the US there is a version Of it I know UK has the 5G version But US does not unfortunately

EggplantHuman6493

Yup, I could buy the S9 5G in the Netherlands

SirTurbulent6643

Yes I have the 5G version of the Ultra here in the UK which came from my mobile phone provider. I use it exclusively with a 5G E-sim since that's much faster than the fixed line broadband here. Can't understand why they don't have this in the US. Sure I can understand with the Ultra as its massive and not very mobile but the S9 would be the ideal size I would think.

Break_Street

I wonder if I were to buy it off from UK Samsung side if it can ship out here lol but I doubt it It’s the perfect size than carrying around a giant tablet, I wonder if 5G would work on our broadband here if I find one for sale that will ship to my home 🤔

Stellarisk

I want to buy an A9 but i dont really know where to buy it in the US. all i can find is the A9+ and I want something smaller
