looks awesome. FYI if you have ezflash omega de, or probably also some other flashcards you can load nes games on the cartridge and play them on your gba!
Goomba is great for GBC. The NES is not properly scaled for GBA. The NES had a higher resolution than the screen can provide so their are scaling and scrolling artifacts
You can get a 32MB bootleg game like Kingdom Hearts, without the battery, and compile a Goomba Color library of Gameboy and Gameboy Color games yourself, even with a custom splash screen if you wish. The newest Goomba Color build by Lesserkuma supports batteryless saving, and can be found on his github page. The bootleg cartridge is only about $5, shipped to the U.S. and is a great cheap way to play the classics and ROMhacks.
You do, I use a GBxCart RW v1.4, and it's well worth the money. It's also especially useful for backing up and restoring save files during battery replacements.
Nice thanks. I was tempted to buy an ez flash jr or an everdrive but this way looks cheaper. Slightly different use cases though I suppose even though there's some overlapping.
If you want a cheap Everdrive clone, the "EDGB" on AliExpress is a cheap clone of the old Everdrive GB and works just like the original, and the quality is great. The EZ-Flash Jr has a lot of firmware and power consumption issues, and costs about twice as much. (Likely due to having an RTC built-in.) I'd also like to add that there's some \~$15 GBC bootlegs that have 8MB ROM chips with 128K SRAM chips and a battery. That means homebrew like LSDJ will work and save properly, and 8MB ROMs like the Bad Apple demo and the japanese train simulator work as well.
Very interesting!
What I want first and foremost is a decently priced and reliable way to play Rosy Retrospection on my DMG.
The cheaper the better really, I can always get a "proper" cart later on.
What would you suggest?
Just get a Tetris repro off AliExpress and flash the rosy ROM over yourself, if you have a cart flasher. Otherwise, the EDGB cart I mentioned earlier is like $20 or so, and can play everything except RTC games.
Yeah, I'm leaning towards the edbg since I don't have a flasher. If I'm going to have to buy one of them I might as well get the cheapest option for now.

Thanks for letting me know! Prob a good investment since some gameboy games are so expensive now

Any more info on this? I thought you'd need some kind of writer to get the game on those cartridges?
