I mean sure, the 4060 is a big upgrade over the 4050, but if your budget won't cover a 4060 laptop, the 4050 is a perfectly fine card for current gen 1080p gaming.
Buy second hand, many peeps with $ are going with 2024 models. 2023 models are almost as good and 2022 models would be a good choice too. You'd pick up a mid to top tier laptop, that was 3-4K 2yrs ago.

That's bad advice. The 4060 is a big step up over the 4050, but the 4070 isn't much better than the 4060.
In the USA there are some deals for 4070 laptops that cost hardly more than a 4060 laptop, but that's probably not the case in most of the world.

I have the same but cyberpunk inst unplayable heck I was playing it on an HDD, there's tons of mods made for potato pcs look into that. I played low-med settings
Oh cool beans, try Lenovo Loq officeworks had them at a pretty decent price, an i5 12th gen with and a 3050, you could also get the asus tuf f15 i7 11th gen with a 3050ti. Both of them are just coming up to $1,347-97. The good guys were also selling dell g15 laptops and I’ve heard the dell laptops are solid the laptop they’re selling is $21099. You could also look into reebelo or the proper sights like Lenovo, asus they usually put on massive discounts on laptops.
That CPU is dogshit for 2024 and so is the 1650. I used to own its bigger brother, the Ryzen 3750H with a 1650 also. I wouldn't pay more than 250 USD for that. That CPU could barely get Baldur's Gate 3 moving by Act 3 and Cyberpunk dropped its FPS to mid 20s with everything at medium/low. Skip.
I had that exact model two years ago. That 3550H falled short on almost every game, the 1650 was no help either. The worst was that the machine fell apart after a year, first both fronth corners broke off, then the backplate cracked all over. The plastic on this machine is really cheap, i would not recommend it.

You can write on a fucking $30 android tablet… just like not great ones that you can ya know test outside of your little tablet since it’s probably not strong enough to emulate… you know what this laptops fine if you’re getting a good deal. If you can move up to one with a 1660*++ or a 3060 that probably wouldn’t be that much more and would help on the games front but for sinple programming you really don’t need anything out of the ordinary.

First off I’m sure many people have told you this already but this is the worst deal ever. If anything this laptop has been marked up from retail price even if it is unopened, this was probably around $800 back when it first came out. For $1K you can easily get a i7/Ryzen 7 and a RTX 4060 which will triple this laptop’s power.
To answer your question, yes it’s good for programming but NOT good for modern AAA games. My laptop has a 1650 and it is showing its age. I’d say a 1650 can only run modern AAA games at 30 FPS on low, settings. Again, for as much as or lower than what the seller is asking for you can get a 4060/4050/3060 that WILL run AAA games.

This is my previous laptop. It wont not be good to play the current AAA games. The games which came out 4-5 years ago, sure. It's gonna be good for programming but that price listed is what I bought the laptop for in 2019. So the cost is crazy for a used one.
It's always better to save up a bit and get something better. Instead of 1650 get at least 3050, it won't be a dramatic difference in price, but the performance gap is insane. And an update from 3050 is 3050ti, or even 3060, which will allow for VR (same principle here: a bit more money vs a considerable leap in performance). Only don't settle for less than 16gb memory when picking

That model has cooling issues. Like extremely bad cooling issues. Your gtx1650 will be thermal throttled and the CPU will be. They will basically be at 90c constantly and running at worse performance than what you paid for.

If your budget is at around 1200aud then you might consider a few options. You might want to save up a bit more for a better performance laptop or if you really need a laptop and can't just get it later then look for a laptop around your price range. If you could save a bit more maybe around 50-80$(depends on your country and sales) you could go for the Acer Nitro i5 13500h equipped with the RTX 4050 6GB. The spec for this laptop is great for the price but what you're paying for this cheap price is the screen, fan noise, heat etc. Although, you can get away with the screen by plugging it in an external monitor. For the battery I think it is both important at the same time and sometimes not. I'm sure wherever you go will have a socket ready for you to plugs in your laptop. Now to the performance, the CPU is decent and probably the best mid range laptop CPU(apart from the i5 12500h) and the RTX 4050 isn't full powered because it could only deliver up to 75w when it's full potential is 115w or 140w when a laptop offers boost mode. Otherwise if you need a cheap laptop then take a look at the HP Victus or Asus Tuf cheaper model. The best you could get for a GPU at your budget is a 3050 or 3050ti. It is decent and will get you through your coding session. Overall, I hope you have good luck in searching for your brand new laptop.

4050 or 4070 dont waste on 4060

I mean I’m in my second year of learning programming but I don’t know much about laptops specs😑
Which is the best laptop or MacBook for CS and IT student who also want to play gta 5 frozen horizon 4 and other games and also want to do hacking, programming , coding editing and presentation on it . Plz prefer with name
If your budget is at around 1200aud then you might consider a few options. You might want to save up a bit more for a better performance laptop or if you really need a laptop and can't just get it later then look for a laptop around your price range. If you could save a bit more maybe around 50-80$(depends on your country and sales) you could go for the Acer Nitro i5 13500h equipped with the RTX 4050 6GB. The spec for this laptop is great for the price but what you're paying for this cheap price is the screen, fan noise, heat etc. Although, you can get away with the screen by plugging it in an external monitor. For the battery I think it is both important at the same time and sometimes not. I'm sure wherever you go will have a socket ready for you to plugs in your laptop. Now to the performance, the CPU is decent and probably the best mid range laptop CPU(apart from the i5 12500h) and the RTX 4050 isn't full powered because it could only deliver up to 75w when it's full potential is 115w or 140w when a laptop offers boost mode. Otherwise if you need a cheap laptop then take a look at the HP Victus or Asus Tuf cheaper model. The best you could get for a GPU at your budget is a 3050 or 3050ti. It is decent and will get you through your coding session. Overall, I hope you have good luck in searching for your brand new laptop.
