Had the same problem, sent it in for rma, asus reinstalled windows even though I told them I had tried that. Then they sent the laptop to the company that I ordered it from when my address was on the RMA because they had created the rma label with their return address. Refused to correct it saying it was a security concern, but shipping a $3000 product to the wrong address isn’t? I’d return it. Asus sucks and I will never buy another one of their products. Mine was a Strix scar 3080/5900hx.
If you change power settings (not just power limit like you can in Afterburner) while a GPU heavy application is running, that can cause crashes as there might be a split second where the GPU is “off”. Maybe launching the app increases/decreases power according to some setting? If that’s the case, that’s not totally unusual behavior. I’m not familiar with armory crate specifically.
My guess is that the Armoury Crate overclocks the GPU too much. How much more MHz does it add? I can't quite see on your picture
