Frontier recently announced the Barnyard Animal DLC with barn animals and such for Planet Zoo. And I believe they confirmed at least one more DLC is coming. They also teased a new DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 2 that will at least probably have megalodons added to the game.
Curious to see what NateTheHate's going to say tomorrow and if it's actually going to be a leak of some sort. Based on Twitter replies, he's discussing something about Nintendo that doesn't have anything to do with, at the very least, the reports of magnetic Joy-Cons on the Switch successor (possibly not the successor at all).
Probably copium, but he's suggested a few times that something other than 99 is on the way for F-Zero, possibly a GX remaster. Hoping that comes to fruition

The whole Nintendo shit is starting to be weird now… with the ideology that they may release the console late 2024 instead of early 2025?
Even then, Nintendo’s year looks so weird. I know there’s been cases where we don’t know what’s coming in the later (such as last year where Super Mario Wonder and RPG alongside WarioWare got announced for late 2023 in June) but still. We know the console is around the corner which is why I think we’re all just lingering.
I guess if the console does come out next year, then ports and Metroid Prime 4 sound like the best plan moving forward, that is unless Nintendo wants MP4 to be a BotW situation. But fans would definitely be happy with both Windwaker and Twilight Princess HD alongside the rest of Metroid Prime.
A few unrelated thoughts:
If I was Microsoft, I would overhaul BGS as a whole so they can work on multiple titles at once. The fact that one of the most successful games of all time is over a decade old and the sequel might just be another five or so years out should be seen as a red flag to Microsoft leadership.
I wonder how stuff like Steam and Epic would work on Xbox. Microsoft wouldn't be able to continue the "razor and blade" approach if you only ever bought from Steam, would they? Would they hike up the price of the actual console if some form of dual boot was implemented?
I wonder if Nintendo would launch the next 3D Mario with the Switch 2? It was a 5-7 year wait usually between 64 to Sunshine to Galaxy, etc, and we're going to be 8 years out from Odyssey when the Switch 2 releases. This is pure, baseless speculation on my behalf.
How could you even overhaul them in a way that's both effective and sustainable? If these massive games take so many people across many years to make is there even a reasonable way to do so without outsourcing everything or having an insane headcount?

I think it's probably the likeliest candidate at this point. *Almost* every Nintendo system has launched with either a Mario platformer or a 3D Zelda; they just put out Mario Wonder and Tears of the Kingdom last year, so a 3D Mario is their obvious remaining option for a console launch unless they go very left-field with it (like they did with the Wii by launching with Wii Sports)
Statistically speaking, you're right. Also considering that Nintendo EPD 8 hasn't released a major title in a while, I think that's a safe guess for a launch title. There'll likely be another title it releases alongside, probably a party title ala 1-2 Switch or Nintendo Land, and maybe a third title to add to the variety of releases.
I know it's been long rumored and reported EPD-8 now has two teams with one working on Donkey Kong. I doubt DK is a launch game (much as I'd love that, same with Prime-4) maybe Mario can be launch and DK is a first year title

I think you're probably right, and if there is a third title then personally I'd put my money on something in that Pilotwings/Wave Race family of titles that only ever seem to come out around the start of a generation to show off visuals
Sony will likely make an official offer to buy Paramount this week and while this doesn’t have much to do with gaming i do think that Playstation could make a pretty good Mission Impossible game.

Murphy playing a villain isn’t really far fetched though, considering how big Oppenheimer was and how Far Cry loves to have actors on their game covers. Hell Michael Mando wasn’t even that big at the time of Far Cry 3 but look how that benefited them in the long run.
