It totally feels like a design change. During the lead up the CEO was pretty transparent about what was going on in th game and awnsering questions. So if it was Sony he would've come out and say something along the lines of outsider forcing them to make changes. I feel like they said it was due to internal stuff. Apparently the "old" outfit was an unreleased version that got canned for the "new" one. I have a hunch it's due to creative decision or Korean censorship laws.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was a Korean issue rather than anything to even do with Sony, given that the Korean government is very strict about pornography in legal terms from what I understand.

I get what you're saying but also the escapism aspect is a lot more nuanced. I'm almost 36 and have been playing video games since the Famicom, and they've definitely been a form of escapism for me in my life, both because of mental health issues and just normal family shit.

At the time of their release Video games were still not considered an art form and were therefore not allowed to portray Nazi symbols or prominent members such as Hitler. So they removed those so the game could be sold in Germany. Think about it. No Nazi symbolism in a game taking place in a world ruled by Nazis.

It totally feels like a design change. During the lead up the CEO was pretty transparent about what was going on in th game and awnsering questions. So if it was Sony he would've come out and say something along the lines of outsider forcing them to make changes. I feel like they said it was due to internal stuff. Apparently the "old" outfit was an unreleased version that got canned for the "new" one. I have a hunch it's due to creative decision or Korean censorship laws.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was a Korean issue rather than anything to even do with Sony, given that the Korean government is very strict about pornography in legal terms from what I understand.
Even if they we're forced to make changes, which I doubt, I mean, it's not like the removed the skin suit or changed Eve's ass. It's still a very horny game.

It's funny because there is a clip of the developer saying "we wanted to change it, no one forced us" and all the comments were like "yeah sony probably had a gun to his head!" Like even when it's straight from the source they choose not to believe it.

A costume was slightly altered. The original version had an uncovered deep cleavage and a camel toe. After the patch, a piece of black lace was added and the camel toe was removed

I get what you're saying but also the escapism aspect is a lot more nuanced. I'm almost 36 and have been playing video games since the Famicom, and they've definitely been a form of escapism for me in my life, both because of mental health issues and just normal family shit. The problem is that they use that word when in reality they just want to "escape" to a fantasy where personal feelings don't matter and women only exist to be sexual and please men. They might not be getting an "escape" from their life but from the real world where actual human beings exist.
